  • I've watched this at least 10 times:) But these horses are so wonderful.

  • To the previous "basic translation" comment that the name of this song means "Fuck as the Devil" - not cool!! Just like in English, many Icelandic words have double meaning, and in this particular case the words of the song "Ridum sem fjandinn" mean "Let's ride as the Devil" - ( not "fuck as the devil" ). It's actually a beautiful rallying song, sung by a group of horsemen on an outing in the Icelandic wilderness. Very positive lyrics, nothing to do with fucking, OK?

  • this looks like a dream

  • This is completely wrong translation. The right one would be "Ride s the Devil" which is of course has very different meanings

  • for those non icelandic, the basic translation for the title of this song is "Fuck as the Devil"

  • Wundervolle Pferde!!!

  • ik mäi et schonge hal. Et as gröilik moi.

  • Was that horsemeat that those Viking cowboys were eating?

  • I want to "ríða" when i watch this ;)

  • haha

  • @gfxdsigner why would you wanna fuck when you watch this ?

  • This reminds me of the horse trekking I did back in '02. What an unforgettable experience that was. It sure made me appreciate where my gelding came from as he was born there. You haven't experience Iceland truly until you ride with experienced horsemen like these guys and sing the folk songs in the high country amongst glacier fed streams. I dream of someday going back and doing it again.

  • WHOO, GO PONIES.

  • @DVSPython *horses ;)

  • @DVSPython that are not poniess they are horses okay?

it is a wrong thought that all think that this are sweet ponies!

    Islandic horses have many energy

  • What a great video this is! I am watching with envy at the beautiful nature, horses and the men......Well done :-)

Wish we had it here in Holland.....who cares, economic crisis, if you live in a place like that with those horses!!

  • Favorite! Great! :)

  • We love this video! But can anyone tell us where to find the audiotrack? We looked everywhere.....

  • @Droossie You can purchase it from tonlist.is: tonlist.is/Music/ViewSearch.aspx?search=r%C3%ADðum%20sem%20fjandinn

  • @biekko Thanks, but I can only find the version of Helgi Björnson, not from this choir. I think it doesn't exist on cd....

  • Dear fans :-)

Just send e-mail to karlakor@karlakor.is and we figure something out.

  • @TheThorgud

Can you please post lyrics to this wonderful song here?

  • cool

  • @Droossie Do you have the Audio-Track now? If not, please answer me. I´ve it.

  • It is even more fun to watch when you know some of the men riding and singing in the video ;o)

Langflottastir enda eruð þið reglulega á spilaranum hjá mér, takk fyrir mig.

  • Icelandic horse board says English would be: Ride like hell Ride, ride, drive (the herd) over the sand Ride like hell Whack that horse That's how we'll have some fun. Ride, ride, drive (the herd) over the sand Ride like hell Don't slow the horse down This is a great party There's still lots of moonshine in the bottle And flatbread in the saddle bag And there's some embers glowing in the ash We will come home very drunk! (Love this video!!!)
  • Icelandic horse board says lyrics are: RÍÐUM SEM FJANDINN Ríðum, ríðum, rekum yfir sandinn, ríðum sem fjandinn skellum í gandinn svona skemmtir sér landinn.
