i just traded my 07 subaru legacy in for a 2010 mazda 3, just like the one shown above but with a spoiler and the 2.0 motor what i like about the mazda is the seats are higher up off ground so its easier to get out of. there a couple things i dont like about the car but overall i would suggest it to someone. for the price you get alot of features. get the 2.5 its worth the extra money. its a comfortable car and its very roomey

I never liked the old Mazda 3 with it's "dog's snout" grille. Then the happy face...what in the world are the designers thinking about over there, but when I look at the competition, the Mazda design looks contemporary in comparison. Most people love their 3's, so I picked up a hatchback - my first Mazda.

It's actually nice, more classy... the interior is truly nice. You have to see the vehicle up front. As far as trading in my mazda 3 for this one, I don't think so. It's a perfect vehicle as is and I've never had problems with it. I would wait 2 years to see what consumer reports says. The honda civic is going to drop 2nd with this new M3. If you look at the new mazda's you'll notice the rx-8 face is what's being used on all the new mazda's.

So, standards in the US are a bit lower than in other markets simply because we are not given nearly as many choices as those elsewhere. the 3 is larger because it differentiates it from the Mazda 2 which is not sold in U.S.

...the front end does not look like a smiley face, but rather like many Peugeot products (a French car automaker owned by Citroën, the second largest car company in Europe)

I think Mazda just blew it this time (2010 M-3)! They should have followed BMW's philosophy here: a New car model is always followed by its Evolution, a decade or so later. No entirely new models Back-to-Back!

wow, not too many positive comments here, i have an 06 Mazda 6 which i love, and i'm all in for another mazda the next couple of years, i like the innovative direction they're heading in w/ the 6 and the all new 3. You hear the critics, these new versions have more power, stability, and technoligical features. the BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) looks like it'll help too!

The beauty of this car WAS how good-looking it WAS. This 2010 version is way overboard- too "space age." WHY do car companies do this? I wasn't even crazy about the changes post-2006! Definitely have to go back to the pre-2007 simple 5-spoke rims. The tail lights are not as nice as the old...the front of the car looks like a big goofy smiling car from the Disney "Cars" flick...oh well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure some people will love it.
