Keep the videos coming. That is the only way the real truth can come out. It is to bad that Religion has to be such a big player in the worlds wars. Religion KEEP out of politics! Do not give up on your desire for freedom and democracy.
Yes, this shows the aftermath of an attack, where people are trying to save him, rather than the murder itself. It's not easy to film the police murdering someone, really.
what are you, idiots? the guy below is right, there's no way they are murdering him (not by just holding his neck for Christ's sake, that cannot lead to any bleeding, can it?). Half truths are as good as any other alteration of truth.
jimladx <<< this is a marxist agent...pls ignore his stupidity...... the millions of Iranians are protesting the dictatorship.Mousavi is just a figurehead....for marxists like jimladx anything other than a dictatorship in Iran would a ''US puppet''......... DUH!!!!!
The dictatorship is the theocracy, not the presidency. They are protesting the presidential vote, not the dictatorship.
It is similar to the US, where the undemocratic layer is the capitalist-controlled media. They keep the people ignorant and set the political agenda, so the presidency is largely irrelevant. Break the media and the ignorance and you will achieve freedom. Being controlled by the votes of a misled population is not freedom, it is not the Republic which the US is supposed to be.
This is so awful. Deepest sympathies from the U.S... I hope you can get the justice you deserve from these bastards, though nothing can bring back all the people they've now murdered in cold blood. So sorry this happened. :(
i fear this is what can happen in any country including our own. i hope that the murderers who did this get what they deserve i'm an atheist but if i'm wrong i hope that i see those responsible burn in hell forever right along side me.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
What I don't get is...when did the US count the votes? Why call this a struggle for freedom when the official count mirrored pre-election opinion polls? This is a coup, just like in Thailand where a democratically elected government was overturned in favour of one which the US preferred. Just like in Ukraine (orange revolution) and Georgia (rose revolution) too. Not like Burma though, where the undemocratic regime was beneficial to the Bush administration and the coup failed.
Shut up if you don't know what you're talking about. Talking anti-US sentimental crap is one thing, but don't use it to justify dictatorship.
There is no democratic election in Iran. All candidates are preselected by the Supreme Ayatollah making it just another dictatorship. They're just giving the people some sort of vote to keep them sort of happy.
Precisely. Most people don't know what's going on here. There is now a choice between 2 preselected candidates, one of whom got >60% of the vote and one of whom has support form the US. The dictatorship is not being fought, there is just a squabble within the current setup.
Meanwhile, the struggle against the favoured US regime in Georgia is being ignored. You are all sheeple! You're being manipulated.
The official call didn't mirror the pre-election count. Where are you getting your news from? Do you think if people thought Ahmadi-nejhad really had the majority of votes they'd stand in front of guns and take beating from the revolutionary guard just to get their voice across?
The coup was what happened on 12 June which resulted in declaring Ahmadi-nejhad the winner of election. You are either highly misinformed, or one of Ahmadi-nejhad's men.
BB, see Washington Post from 15th June. Google "The Iranian People Speak". I may be misinformed but to me it looks like many more are being manipulated or want to be fashionable. No outcry over Georgia, the Darfur protests have gone quiet, who cares about Tibet or Burma these days?
The proposed coup will not bring democracy to Iran, it will put a US puppet in the country, weaken the Hizbullah/Hamas forces and enable Israel to increase the human suffering in its occupation of Palestine.
judging by the what rights people have in the US, wouldn't you rather have a US puppet in Iran? The previous president of yours is simply a mad man! He's dangerous to you and a lot of other people too!
By previous president, do you mean Bush? Or are you claiming defeat for Ahmadinejad? From what I've read of his writings, and from listening to him speak I don't find him to be mad.
The media don't want you to know his real persona so they edit it to fit what they want you to believe. And they get awards for it.
PW, did you read the Washington Post article? Already 2 people have thums-downed my post where I mentioned it, trying to censor the truth. But there are zero comments posted to rebut it!
From 15th June. Google "The Iranian People Speak".
There are a lot of people on the streets but far more in the electorate.
Maybe you should read articles from a more wider range of news agencies? You keep quoting this article from Washington Post. Well now that all the media is being kicked out of Iran the only source you have is going to be Iranian people and their photos and videos.
Do you think killing innocent civilians who're just out to make their voices be heard makes Ahmadi-nejhad's government legitimate? Even from viewpoint of those who voted for him?
I want someone to debunk the article, I want to know the truth of who won the election. I referred to the article a second time because nobody commented on it the first time - it just got the thums-down treatment which eventually censors what I wrote.
Still nobody has assured me that the election went Mousavi's way or that Ahmadinejad is the evil man we're encouraged to believe he is. I've been told to shut up, that I'm Marxist and anti-US and an idiot but nobody has shown me that I'm wrong.
Killing civilians neither makes the government legitimate nor illegitimate. What matters is the election. What would happen in the US if people decided they didn't want Obama and took to the streets, burning cars etc? I don't think there have been protesters killed in the US since the '60s (here in the UK I think it was 1972, Bloody Sunday) but the government will react, it will not stand down just because a load of students don't like it!
People didn't take to the street burning cars. They started peaceful protests, which is the legal right under constitution of Islamic Republic of Iran. But the Police attacked and started provoking them. I don't blame you for thinking otherwise though, since there isn't proper coverage in foreign media.
Go peddle your bullshit elsewhere, your agenda driven rants are not convincing anyone. What does the US have to do with hundreds of thousands of Iranians marching peacefully in the streets? How could you not support these angry protesters demanding their rights from a repressive theocratic regime that hangs teenagers, gays and adulterers from cranes, to name but a fraction of their total crimes. Your Marxist idiocy doesn't allow you to see the forrest for the trees, grow up you schmuck.
Why call me marxist? Do you know what it means or are you following fashion? That would make sense because you don't have a clue what's really happening and what the protesters are currently trying to achieve in terms of rights. Voters on both sides want more freedom from the theocracy! Over 1,000,000 marched in London to protest the move towards war in Iraq, and many in the US too. Numbers mean nothing.
My agenda is to get people to follow truth and avoid ignorance-fuelled fashionable causes.
How about a useful idiot? Does that title suit you better? You're here to obfuscate and muddy the waters with your pathetic attempts at moral relativism. That's right no one has a clue what's going on in Iran except the Irish fellow who probably reads too much Pravda. This will be my last reply to you as you're a complete waste of energy, a stooge for a regime whose time was passed 200 years ago.
I'm not Irish and I've never read Pravda, but I have read about authentic opinion polling by a reputable organisation and I've seen how the American version of Pravda distorts its peoples' image of Ahmadinejad. All I want to do is pass on the truth, but some don't want to know they're being misled.
Coming from someone who calls himself Trollz your insults mean nothing. But insults are all you have so it's no surprise you've called it a day.
By the way, the fact that you don't know what's going on doesn't necessarily mean that I do. I'm sure I'm missing something but specifically I'd like it proved that the election result does not match the people's will and that Ahmadinejad is not unfairly villified by western media - the points I've been making on this thread.
If you were able to do that then you would have done so. It's only when people cannot argue the facts that they resort to insults.
lmao. u remind me of the news channel aljazeera. they try to make ahmadinejad sound like a good man too. which is a joke. LMFAO/ he denied the fucking holocaust. what more is there to say. lmao. oh man.. one of his werido supporters is gonna have a suicide bomb on him one day and kil himself along with ahmadinejad as well. when that day comes, the world will be able to breathe again. tehn we're all gona PARTAY. lol

They are NOT smothering him.
That man has a severe neck wound and they are trying to stop the bleeding.
How he got the wound is another story.
What I see in this video is a bunch of people coming to the aid of an injured man.
They try their best but the injury was to severe.
Stop calling sound bites and video clips news worthy.
Stop allowing ALL forms of media to practice this horrid form of event manipulation.
You never get real truth from half truths.
