I'll say why. The mailles are not real. An armour should be made custom for the knight or at least modified for the user. Those armours were far from what they would be using. No one would use an armour that wouldn't allow them to move properly or wasn't fitting well or were pintching and catching.
And we can see the armours here are poorly made 5:56

its to be expected that they would complain about the armor causing discomfort. they dont wear it every day for years like a real knight did! those dudes could vault over fences and leap on to horses and move real good back then!
