From what I can tell, based on the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, and the wide range of the character's emotional spectrum, this show has the potential to be amazing. Drake Bell has what it takes to make a great Ultimate Spider-Man, but he's alittle too excited-sounding in this. I do like how he knows how to use a more physical effect on his voice work, mostly in 0:40 I'm looking forward to this, especially if Peter and Kitty Pryde have the romance from the comics!

I hope they don't make this show too tacky. I don't like the idea of him working with 3 other teenage superheroes, Spidey is a loner and that's the beauty of it! I always hated how Nick Fury butts into everything in Ultimate Spider-Man, and I have a feeling that ass and his SHIELD group will be everywhere in this too. It's an original take, sure, but jeez man. I really hate Nick Fury and SHIELD.
this show looks PERFECT not only is it going to have the pop culture, cool, humourous, and amazing story line from the spectacular series is will also have all the cool villains and allies like from the 90s series if this show had two parents spectacular and 90s would be them.the animation is also like both its parents is its own way...
Hopefully Ultimate Spider-Man won't share the same fate as The Spectacular Spider-Man. The latter was really successful, but due to executive meddling, it died for good. As a reboot, The Spectacular Spider-Man was awesome, and Ultimate Spider-Man (from what I'm seeing) aims for greater heights. I hope this series will be as successful as its predecessor.
One thing has changed in his costume, we see him without those stripes on hands for the first time ever and remember teaser trailer Jonah Jameson was nearly looked like from spectacular spidey, now he looks like for this cartoon and let us think that Drake Bell will play a better superhero than he did in the "Superhero Movie" and he won't be that Drake from "Drake and Josh" who always was hunting the girls.
That said, they shouldnt even show JJJ in the new spiderman movie. If it was JK simmons, it would confuse people, and if it wasnt, people would talk about how hes not as good.
Hmm...now that I see this...I can sort of belive that Drake bell can be Spider Man. I mean...he was already a parody of him, so why not the real deal? Besides, his voice does fit the character in this version, like past Spider Mans have fit their show's universe.

Lookin' good. I love the animation and the art style. I was a fan of Spectacular Spider-Man's look as well and I wish it would have had another season but if Paul Dini is behind this, then I'm on board. I love his Batman animated work, especially Batman Beyond, which was Batman merged with Spider-Man anyway. Can't wait for this one to star airing!
@thespider175 I'm not. I'm saying this cartoon does have a chance of being good because Paul Dini is involved in it. Before Paul Dini was the producer, this show had zero chance of success IMO.
I love the anime stylings, and the fight scenes and jokes are pretty cool. I don't know if it'll live up to spectacular spiderman though. And I hope they don't go overboard on the crossover thing. Like in that X-men crossover in the 90s cartoon, where it seemed more like Beast's and Wolverine's story than Spiderman's.
@WilltheBroker The Recent TMNT i think made in 2003 was best, cant beat that. Batman TAS is a classic, The Batman was ok for the 2nd Generation of kids, and Brave and the bold just sucks. Transformers is a classic just like Batman. But Hey its up to everyones opinion. 7 Spiderman Shows and theywere all good, this should be good too.
I like it, and I like it even more after seeing Venom, he really is the ultimate antagonist. There is one thing I dont like however and its his voice. I understand the reasoning behind it but the 1994 Spiderman TAS had the best voice, besides that I'm excited.

I hope they do but i doubt it. Disney too soft only way they would show the death if they do a Direct to DVD/Blu Ray movie. Since Disney bought Marvel they rarely do animation movies each year. Last one i recall was Thor and that cartoon movie was stupid compared to Hulk Vs and the other stuff before that.

Spidey after the reboot was better than he had been since the 70s. The writing was consistent too. The problem with Spider-man is just that he has two books. He's a story driven characters and trying to have two things going on at the same time is schizo.

What makes me mad is Ultimate Spider-man the COMIC BOOK is really good. The situations and outcomes were actually sometimes dark and mature, but this show will be "Ultimate" only in name.

This show looks like complete shit so far. Everything from story to the characters to the dialogue to...basically everything. Nothing looks good about this show so far. Nothing except one thing...Paul Dini. Even though this looks like complete crap, as long as Paul Dini is involved, this show had potential. Has there ever been a Paul Dini show that sucked? Not really. So despite all the crap we're seeing and hearing about this show, the fact that Paul Dini is involved gives this show some hope.

@yamatotesuye i don't mind all the cartoons they whip out about spider-man. its a tv show on a kids channel, and i like how they work around the deeper themes that spider-man possesses, to make a fun, action show. i imagine there will be darker moments, but we will see. :)
@LoniganTheDragon I dont mind its a spiderman cartoon, I love the spidey and cant wait to see it, even if they used the name, but after reading and keeping up to date with the ultimate spiderman comics...it just isnt right to call it ultimate spiderman, if they named it differently it would be less hated for. I highly recomend fans that havent read it, to read it. its probably the best comic for him out there now.
@yamatotesuye yeah true, ive read a couple of the ultimate spider-man comics here and there, and it's definitely gonna be different. i reckon they called it that cause they have crossovers with other marvel people like they do in the comics. at the same time, the comics can be a little cheesy, but still i loved the artwork.

I never said the animation was bad....I said theyre storyline is going to be chopped...from the original comic ultimate spiderman, and it wont do it justice....even if its not out yet, its jus a review of my own from whats shown. I never said itd be a bad show, its awsome that another spiderman animation is out....for example, young justice was never like the comics, but it was still good....

I hope they do but i doubt it. Disney too soft only way they would show the death if they do a Direct to DVD/Blu Ray movie. Since Disney bought Marvel they rarely do animation movies each year. Last one i recall was Thor and that cartoon movie was stupid compared to Hulk Vs and the other stuff before that.

@TeamTowers1 no im just not a fan of the ultimate series since and (mainstream)spiderman anymore due to horrible writing....(the writer messes up and then has the main character reset the whole time stream in order to start a new series "so the readers could relate more".... im not 20's or 30's and it was still good)
spiderman is my fav super hero... i just wish he'd get some decent writers

Spidey after the reboot was better than he had been since the 70s. The writing was consistent too. The problem with Spider-man is just that he has two books. He's a story driven characters and trying to have two things going on at the same time is schizo.

What makes me mad is Ultimate Spider-man the COMIC BOOK is really good. The situations and outcomes were actually sometimes dark and mature, but this show will be "Ultimate" only in name.
But the part that burns is the comic posers talking about how cool this show'll be.

@TheCycloneFCS Considering Ultimate Spider-man (along with the entire Ultimate universe) went down hill so badly that it's a pathetic mockery of what it used to be. So maby being ultimate in name only isnt a bad thing.
Besides these people made Generator Rex which is very dark and mature for a kids show so I wouldnt be surprised if this turns out dark. Not to mention paul Dini one of the founder of the DCAU is the head righter of this show. I have faith that it will be good

Naw they didnt run out of ideas for Young Justice just stupid cartoon network wont air all the episodes. They already finished the second season just they wont air the rest of the 1st season. They did that same thing with Thunder Cats air like 5 episodes than take 5 months off.

This show looks like complete shit so far. Everything from story to the characters to the dialogue to...basically everything. Nothing looks good about this show so far. Nothing except one thing...Paul Dini. Even though this looks like complete crap, as long as Paul Dini is involved, this show had potential. Has there ever been a Paul Dini show that sucked? Not really. So despite all the crap we're seeing and hearing about this show, the fact that Paul Dini is involved gives this show some hope.

@yamatotesuye i don't mind all the cartoons they whip out about spider-man. its a tv show on a kids channel, and i like how they work around the deeper themes that spider-man possesses, to make a fun, action show. i imagine there will be darker moments, but we will see. :)

@LoniganTheDragon I dont mind its a spiderman cartoon, I love the spidey and cant wait to see it, even if they used the name, but after reading and keeping up to date with the ultimate spiderman comics...it just isnt right to call it ultimate spiderman, if they named it differently it would be less hated for. I highly recomend fans that havent read it, to read it. its probably the best comic for him out there now.

@yamatotesuye yeah true, ive read a couple of the ultimate spider-man comics here and there, and it's definitely gonna be different. i reckon they called it that cause they have crossovers with other marvel people like they do in the comics. at the same time, the comics can be a little cheesy, but still i loved the artwork.
