@brianamw, not problem. if your worried you should really go to see your piercer, try also cleaning it with savalon (healing cream) once a week. let that soak in. Im sure it will clear up soon! i doubt you will have to take it out! if it gets worse you could have a tiny bit of fluid in, and that can be drained by your piercer :)

The beeps are from the front door chime alerting us to incoming customers. All of our videos were done "live" with actual clients, and everybody puts up with the door chime.
@brianamw i also had a bump on mine by the bottom hole, when i went to my piercer he told me that when the needle is pushed through it may cause some skin to push out, thats what that lump is... maybe it could be that? i got told to use salvon spray and clean it everyday twice, this is meant to make the lump dry over and drop off. :) hope that helped

Guys, if you really want an industrial, go for it it won't hurt half as bad as you would think, i was so nervous about getting it done that when my piercer put the clamps on i barely noticed when she put the first needle in ( the clamps hurt the worst!) you will feel the second one more since your ear is more sensitive and the adrenaline is wearing off. just make sure to clean it regularly, try not to touch it often and avoid hair touching it because hair is sharp! ( got mine done 1/2/12)<3
Just observe your ear and see if changes occur over time, then see your piercer. Just be patient with the piercing . . . this is probably the hardest piercing to heal.

It is typically an irritation bump, because many people sleep on that ear which caused irritation and creates a bump Generally when you quite irritating the ear, the bump goes away.

As long as there is NOT a lot of pressure on the ear, you should be OK, just watch for any movement of the bar into the ear, but it sounds like everything is fine with your ear.

I could be if there is too much pressure on the ear as the jewelry may start "growing into the ear". Bar should be slightly bent to avoid pressure on the inner parts of the ear. It should be bent prior to the original insertion.

The worst part is when it is healing especially if you have long hair. hair gets caught around it. its hard to sleep because you cant lay on it for a couple months. and i used to always snag my hairbrush on it. afterwards is what hurts...not the actual piercing

i have an industrial and when i got it pierced on September 3rd, i literally could not feel the needle or barbell go through (im 16). i guess the pain factor varies from person to person.
Hey I was just wondering when an industrial piercing stops hurting? I have had mine for about two months and it still hurts to sleep on it or wear my glasses. I clean it everyday with salt water. Is there anything I can do or does it just never stop hurting? :(
@shortie97 when I got mine 3 years ago, I had the barbell put in immediately, and 2 months later it was still sore and wouldn't heal, so I got two individual CBR's (captive bead rings) and put those in the holes of the industrial to let the holes finish healing. The soreness went away almost immediately! then about 1 month later I put the bar back in and haven't had any problems since then! I highly recommend NOT putting the bar in initially.
@shortie97 idk mine doesnt hurt anymore i would reccomend using an antibacterial unscented soap not saltwater what i do is wash my hands then i take unscented antibacterial soap and rub it on/around the piercing and move the piercing back and forth a few times and i do this for 30-45 sec then run the piercing under water for 1-2 min the saltwater might be eating away the scab not allowing it to heal and causing it to hurt if that doesnt work go to a doc cuz it really shouldnt still hurt

I got mine done yesterday. I was very surprised at how LITTLE it actually hurt, I did not cry, flinch, or even move. When I first walked in I was shaking so much and scared. But it is totally worth it. :3
@stdragons569 I got mine done a couple of days ago, it's not that bad tbh, but DON'T hold your breath, breath deep breaths. My piercer was fantastic and talked the whole way through so I was more distracted.

Sorry she "blew you off" not a good image for the industry. I would
suggest avoiding twisting the jewelry unless it is necessary to reposition
in your ear. The more you twist the jewelry the more you tear and rip new
delicate tissue trying to regenerate itself from the trauma caused by the
piercing. The more you disturb the regenerating tissue the longer it will
take to heal.

The worst part is when it is healing especially if you have long hair. hair gets caught around it. its hard to sleep because you cant lay on it for a couple months. and i used to always snag my hairbrush on it. afterwards is what hurts...not the actual piercing

@SavannahhJo alright, thank you. my hair is pretty long, and i figure that would hurt. i got a double cartalige piercing, and the healing did hurt pretty bad, and I did get things caught in them.

yeah this looks way worse than when you actually get it. i watched this video before and it freaked the hell out of me, but i still went and got mine a few days later, its not bad at all. at least not compared to what this looks like. i've had mine for 2 weeks now and its totally fine

I have mine pierced I didn't think it hurt that bad getting it done it's just afterwards it killed me -:c. But it's all good now finally after 6 months.

@JennaIsFabulous yes if you really want one i would highly recommend it im 15 and i got it done 2 days ago and it was a great choice! if you really want one then by all means go for it it doesnt hurt at all and it looks fantastic! next i want a monroe or a neck piercing

i have an industrial and when i got it pierced on September 3rd, i literally could not feel the needle or barbell go through (im 16). i guess the pain factor varies from person to person.

Hey I was just wondering when an industrial piercing stops hurting? I have had mine for about two months and it still hurts to sleep on it or wear my glasses. I clean it everyday with salt water. Is there anything I can do or does it just never stop hurting? :(

@shortie97 when I got mine 3 years ago, I had the barbell put in immediately, and 2 months later it was still sore and wouldn't heal, so I got two individual CBR's (captive bead rings) and put those in the holes of the industrial to let the holes finish healing. The soreness went away almost immediately! then about 1 month later I put the bar back in and haven't had any problems since then! I highly recommend NOT putting the bar in initially.

@shortie97 idk mine doesnt hurt anymore i would reccomend using an antibacterial unscented soap not saltwater what i do is wash my hands then i take unscented antibacterial soap and rub it on/around the piercing and move the piercing back and forth a few times and i do this for 30-45 sec then run the piercing under water for 1-2 min the saltwater might be eating away the scab not allowing it to heal and causing it to hurt if that doesnt work go to a doc cuz it really shouldnt still hurt

I love the industrial piercing and I can't wait to get one of my own. I'm thirteen now, how old do they recommend you be before you can get it done? Also, on a scale from one to ten, how much did it hurt?
P.S. I have two piercings in each lobe, thats it for now, but I am eagerly awaiting more. :D

I got mine done yesterday. I was very surprised at how LITTLE it actually hurt, I did not cry, flinch, or even move. When I first walked in I was shaking so much and scared. But it is totally worth it. :3

@stdragons569 I got mine done a couple of days ago, it's not that bad tbh, but DON'T hold your breath, breath deep breaths. My piercer was fantastic and talked the whole way through so I was more distracted.
