  • Javid Shah!

  • every thing was simply better

  • I remember, I remember.... I left Iran exactly one month before the Shah did, and it has haunted me ever since.

  • Seemed like a nice place to visit at the time.

    :[

  • javid shah

long live Persia ( IRAN ) land of the aryans

zendeh bad shahzadeh reza pahlavi our future king

  • Uh no, the Shah was just as big of jerk as the current regime.

  • @LadyCadbury

    plz shut your mouth

  • @honkeyssmalls Iran will soon be free from your scum kind. You should take a heed from Ghaddafi's demise and have your thug friends and yourself escape while it is not too late.

  • @TheSasss1 Hezbollah and Hamas will collapse without Islamic Republic of Iran money.

  • @honkeyssmalls are you sure? lmao bro i think you really need to watch the video, iran before and after revolution! so u said iran is better now. what do you like about it? smacking yourself and hitting yourself int the head and chest for imam hossein rather than going to concerts in iran? is this what you want? you can take a ticket to Saudi Arabia and do that shit there bro

  • And the British & American empires are the empires of those who privately control its central banks. Always remember that. The Brits & the Americans & their puppet leaders are just as much bitches to those who control the issuance of its money. Obama or Obongo is just the latest & biggest bitch as is Cameron in the UK or United Kuntdom. In fact, they're even bigger bitches because as Goethe said "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free."

  • @myradrealityshow So? i meant the her 30years ago, not now.

  • @AmirArProductions Oh fine hahaha

  • this video shows us wat the hell is wrong with our new government :(

  • ما ایران و پس میگیریم نمیزاریم اینجوری بمونه

  • @Yuye1745 I agree with your first statement, the ’79 Iran revolution was indeed started by the Iranians themselves. The shah secularized the whole nation of Iran, but the Ayatollah had the control of their minds for decades in the mosques. They wanted a return to Islamic rule even though they did not specifically state this to the people. I disagree with your second statement. First of all, the policies of the western nations are not uniform.

  • @Yuye1745 The Shah, despite having the 5th largest army in the world, was not willing to turn them on the Iranian people, when they rose up to demand his removal and replacement with the Ayatollah. Carter saw that as an opportunity to enforce his human right policy by forcing the resignation of the Shah and the installment of the so called man of god, the Ayatollah Khomeini. Carter saw the Ayatollah as a Gandhi figure for the Iranians.

  • @Yuye1745 So with the major backers of Iran, the USA, France, and UK asking for his resignation and with the Iranian in streets the shah resigned, per wishes of the Iranian people instead of using the army to put down the revolt. After that you know the rest of the history , you know also how the current Ayatollahs in charge of Iran do not hesitate to use lethal force to put down Iranians, now tell me who loved the Iranians more the Shah or the Ayatollahs?

  • @honkeyssmalls

Lol, there is a difference between dressing yourself like normal human on summer times, and like a bitch. The real ''bitches'' are the Ayatollas and Mullahs of Iran. Dickhead -.-

    Long live Freedom!

  • And the West should be in no way blamed for the Iranian people's mistakes of 32 years ago, it was indeed a beautiful, progressive and vibrant country but now it's left for the younger generation to solve the problems that the people from the previous generation started. How unfair is that? Anyway, POWER TO THE PERSIANS!

  • This is like India when Shah was ruling

  • I piss every single one who accompanied the 1979 revolution , fuck you all for what you did to us. Since birth till now i ashamed of myself to being an Iranian because i raised in a terrorist and fucking religious plance. I never had joy and greatness moments of Iran.

GOD BLESS IRAN ,FUCK ISLAM AND ISLAMIC REPUBLCI i don't give a damn if you call me rude or ignorent, but i want my Iran to be free from fucking islam

  • @TheKourosh1990

    cheap :)

  • The Persians sold their souls to the Islamic devils for a pittance and ethereal promises of freedoms and democracy. The Islamic revolutionaries comprised of Islamic subversives their dupes and naïve fools, However we must not forget France, for grooming the Islamic devil, and the equally naïve Jimmy Carter for literally pulling the rug out from under one of the two most important and trustworthy ally in the region. The second trustworthy ally isn’t Pakistan but Israel.

  • i dont understand how he lost the revolution when he had savak and the military

  • marg bar khamenei,, marg bar on kessi ke on harooomzadaro avord to iran, va marg bar mojahedin ke az hame haromzadetaro koniotaro koskesh taran..

  • if iran needs another revolution, it needs to have a lot of force in comparison with the 1979 revolution. the islamic regime of iran will take lots of effort to take down. if suddenly, all people go to protests, then the military will use severe crackdown. or another possibility is that a world war 3 needs to take place. if this happens, then the iranian government will fall as well as the american government. not to forget israel's will fall too.

  • Great nation i hope it rise soon

  • Viva Pahlavi dynasty!! Our great King is alive in all of hearts and will be alive forever!!

  • Fuck Islam that has fucked my country...

  • @OhMarGerine shutup we we're proud of our counrty if it wasnt for the english iran wouldn't be like this right now!!

  • Anybody know what is the song with the lyrics of Dariush - Ejaze? it has different melody and back ground music than Dariushes version!

    please answer!

  • Death to the Arab Republic of Iran who is stealing Irans wealth and giving it to Lebanon and Palestine! Isn't it odd that 90% of the Iranians on youtube hate the Islamic Republic and 90% of the Arabs love it? Lebanese and Palestinian arabs piece of shit.

We will free Iran, burn down the invaders mosks and korans, we will burn the mullahs and arab worshippers and will free IRAN!

Pahlavi Dynesty is the only way! I will give my life for the Pahlavi Dynesty, i will worship it and die for it!

  • Religion is for people, not for the governmnents. Secularism for freedom !

  • man nemidoonam mardom enghelab kardan ya enghelab mardomo kard?!

  • Will monarchy ever return to Persia? Will Persia become secular again?

  • @QadeemMusalman Iran will become secular again, but I doubt it will ever become a monarchy.

  • @OhMaDayzz I strongly doubt that because I do not why I am uneasy that US and Israel may be having secret deals with the Iranian government. And if the Iranian government remains in place, there is simply no hope that Iran will ever become secular again!

  • @QadeemMusalman If the Iranian people want secularism then eventually it will happen.

  • I have a lot of Persian friends. All I can say is: you guys are amazing, your culture is so rich, you are such hard working and dedicated people. Looking at that modern and free Iran looks almost impossible. But keep the faith, things will improve with time and you never know. The light of intelligence and freedom will shine in Persia again, some day. Best thoughts from a Mexican friend. Khodafez!

  • What is the name of the song at the beginning?

  • Freedom: Not west nor East, it's Universal. Free Iran!

  • what is the song¿

  • geryam gereft :((

  • We don't need Islam thank you, we can very well do without it .

  • Freedom means to be religious as well as not being religious. The problem was that Islamic culture of Iran had been suppressed after 1400 years of Perso-Islamic Civilization. The same thing happened to Turkey and India and the rest of the Muslim Empire. However, as we have seen...even Turkey has begun a "Neo-Ottomanism".

  • The oil companies and the west played this one completely wrong, and now a flawed but once vibrant society is living under the thumb of the draconian, primitive Islamofascists.

  • OMG, I can't believe Iran was such a modern progressive nation. It was a lot stable financially, economically, and politically. There was social justice and no restrictions on women. Iranians were happy and free and could breathe freely. Iran was beaming with pride. But after Khomeini or Khamenei (whatever his name is), oh well...

  • @zakuza92 they can breath freely at the time of shah . y what happened now .they cant breath then tell me how they are serviving .. i know what u are tryin to say but iran is much batter place now then before at least there regime is taking good steps and the western interest .. on top its this regime that made u a nuclear state now . so plz get ur fact straigh. ad if u are saying nakedness is modernizm then go to western beach to expose urself and leave those people alone

  • @zakuza92 ... And of course, there will always be people (nations) who do not want to see other people (nations) to progress. Thus they do everything in their power to destroy that nation and send it to back to the stone age, as Khomieni did.

  • @zakuza92 Yea Khomeini and Ahmadinejad destroyed irans progressive state and forced people to wear stuff they didnt want to associate themselves with..

  • @zakuza92 youre stupid.. it still is modern, dont let western media trick you.. alot of women dont even wear scarfs.. and there is, copts, christians and jews too.. im pretty sure if ahmejinidad and khomeni would fuck off it could be a nice country.. i like that there is a last bastion against america though.. so the us dont just fuck the world over completely.

  • @Denmarkpwns You're naive. It's not a last bastion against anything. They're controlled opposition just like Soviet Union & its satelite Jewish dictatorships in the past. Joogle US has given 100 billion to companies defying its official policy on Iran. Last bastion was Hitler, who issued his own money & doubled national income in 5 years with no inflation & full employment, not double digit inflation, mass unemployment & drug addiction as Islamic Iran. NATO can decimate Iran anytime it wants.

  • @zakuza92 you fucking idiot, you was not even born in time of the shah u litle shit !! the shah was a dictator and a slave of america !!!!

  • @consuetudinariness mesle Mohammad ke bache baz ya mesle Ali sag kosh, tofe afareenesh be roh o ravane mohammad o ale mohammad.

  • Wow, its hard to believe that Iran used to be this relatable and normal to an outsider compared to now, it makes one think how much greater Persia would of been had the catastrophe of 651 didn’t occur.

Hopefully Iran will be soon overthrow the religious mafia and once more become relatable to the world.

  • Marg bar ESLAM, Death to ISLAM

  • @iraniantiislam Nefrine tamame afareenesh be Salman va shagerdesh Mohammad .

  • There were too many evil Brits, liberal Yanks, terrorist Palesinians, communist Russians & terrorist radical Muslims unhappy to see Iran happy. So Britain with Jimmy Carters help staged the Khomeini revolution & pushed Iran once progressive promissing & peaceful to death darkness & destruction. God bless the sainted Shah. He is greatly missed.

  • Whats the names of all three songs in the video! They're lovely :)

  • Thanks for posting the nice video, this video explains alot! But idiots don't see and can't read!

  • death to islam and akhoonds

  • Iran and Afghanistan were once the most liberal, modern, open minded and secular Muslim nations! It was beautiful and it saddens me to see the state they're both in today! I hope both the countries are freed from this so called "Islamic Republic"! I'm so proud to have ancestry from both nations!

  • Strong,respected,educated,modern,beautyfull

  • Rest in peace my King of Kings, Persia now belongs to the realm of myths and legends. Gone are the days of Glory; gone are the days of Pride, Gone are the days of Plenty: gone are the days of Respect, Gone are the days of Joy; gone are the days of Freedom. To be replaced by never-ending tears and broken hearts, Broken souls and broken dreams, Broken limbs and broken necks, Never-ending sufferings and the cries of a Nation dead, The fruits of Madness called the Iranian Rev.
  • Was dating allowed during shahs reign? How about kissing and holding hands in public? and did women have premartial sex at that time or was it still taboo?

  • did iranian women have sex before marriage in the shah's time? and was dating/holding hands/kissing in public allowed?

  • @Scapone2001 Iran's culture being Islamic was very different from the western cultures even during Shah. Women were free to wear what they liked and within reason but kissing in public was never done. Holding hands, yes, provided the couple was engaged or married. Sex before marriage was seen with abhorrence. Iran could never be totally free because of Islam and Shah could only do so much. The Constitution of Iran made every law subject to Mullahs' approval. Please continue to read...

  • @Scapone2001 Since the invasion of Arabs and the conversion of Persia to Islam the country was held back from progress. Islam, as you must know, prohibits freedom. While Europe had its Renaissance, Iran never went through its stage of enlightenment. The Pahlavis were the greatest thing that happened to Iran, but both Reza Shah and his son were faced with enormous difficulties in bringing Iran from the dark ages to modern ages. Ultra conservative Muslims resisted and resented progress. Con.

  • @Scapone2001 The ultra conservative Muslims saw modernization as westernization, b/c that is how western people live; and they are too small-minded to differentiate between the two. Islam has been the downfall of Iran. Nothing that was achieved in Europe could have ever been achieved in Iran b/c of Islam. Islam destroyed Iran 1400 yrs ago. Under the Shah Iran was on the mend gradually and slowly but Shah's enemies under the leadership of Shah's archenemy Khomeini demolished everything.

  • @Scapone2001 Why would you have to ask this question? Yes, some people wore head coverings and others did not. Many things were allowed during that time, including the ones you have mentioned.

  • @Scapone2001

oh shut up you stupid deviated dirty.

  • The shah was getting to powerful. Iran was getting to powerful. The shah was the one who was questioning Israel and how Israel had a nuclear program. so the shah concluded that IRAN MUST HAVE A NUCLEAR PROGRAM , this includes Energy and Nuclear Bombs. The Zionists did not like the fact that Iran could have nuclear bombs. Iran was to powerful .. so the Zionists through a CIA Covert Proxy operation installed the Khomeini regime, just like they got rid of Mohammed Mosadeq .

  • @AdebillYuden You are wrong. Ask even the Iranian youths of today who want to change Iran and they will tell you that the only conspiracy was the one that the Iranians concocted. No foreign power was behind Khomeini. You should look toward the merchants of bazar; they and their money was responsible for bringing Khomeini from France to Iran. The conspiracy was an Iranian conspiracy and even Shah himself said it before he died.

  • iran is more like usa stlye

  • God damn I'm mad at this

I've always been fascinated by the Persian culture. Who knows how awesome Iran would be today if it wasn't taken over by the islamist fundamentalists. This video just makes me sad.

Islam is a cancer. Iran is not the only example of it.

  • @pseudoBearmode

I am totally with you. Lolz. We are also suffering because of Islam. Our country can perform 100 times better without Islam.

  • @pseudoBearmode The cancer attacked Iran 1400 years ago and the Pahlavis did their best to cut off the cancer. Had Shah been allowed to do his job - that is run his country without interference from the clerics Iran today would have been a first nation. It was certainly on its way to becoming a superpower. Its military was the 5th largest in the world. The standard of living was progressively getting higher, but alas it was all destroyed by the hands of one man - Khomeini.

  • Ive lived in Iran and just got back during the resent unrest, I look at this video and it makes me laugh and cry...laugh because the cars featured are still on the roads today (although there are new cars too) and cry because as a european woman i didnt quite believe that iran had ever been so free but to see women wearing what they want ..wow and even casinos with women working in them ..i couldnt even play pool with my husband last year!...no women allowed. So sad

  • @mrsoutofthere

Not being able to play pool with your husband seems oppressive...? Most women here don't play pool with their husbands (at least not standing up, anyway).

  • Only in Los Angeles would a person see a Iranian like that.

  • Shah was the best!

  • Shah must return!

  • thanks for this great video, vaghan yadeh iran bekheir!

    FREE IRAN!

  • Iran 2010 is much better for all, about 95%

old Iran was better for a minority about 5%.

  • Hi

If only this had continued :/

Maybe we find a way ;)

Anybody who knows where I can find the mix of the Song of Dariush´s Ejazeh ( ageh cheschmat )

    Thanks a lot

    Lg Moe ;)

  • Shah was milder nicer and less tougher and that was his problem? yes maybe Iranians always need a harsh brutal figure like Khomeiny ke bezaneh too sareshoon...a nation get what it deserves...by putting all our blames on Shah we are only discrediting ourselves and show how powerless we are....we show we are irresponsible and are always looking for someone to blame!!!!

  • @ Arash If it was not for Shah's effort in establishing a culture of education by building all these great universities and great schools...all from zero a country that had none, then we would not have had a revolution by intellects that were produced under him. then we wound not have even survived the radical islamists and there would have been no green movement...so though I am not a royalist I totally appreciate both him and his father, specially him for working on Iran with all they could!

  • im only 17 i love my contries history ive never seen this video of how it looked like but now all i see is its bin taken away form me nd my people so dont com on here talkin shit wen u dont even know anything about the place i mean wtf ru tryin to proov tht u have a brain tell u wht if the iranian university was still in place maybe u cuda done somin wit ur life exept go on youtube nd say shit bout peoples country

  • No they don't.

  • You are right that many countries did not have all those you said back then but All Iranian cities had electricity except for villages. Iran was growing fast. Education, schools, universities in all major cities that were competitive with Best world universities, the fantastic architecture, of banks, museums, municipality, parliament, all the things...they started from zero and was going at such a fast pace....

  • By the way all iran roads were built then...I am sorry you are soooo stupid and obviously know nothing about then....all my profs from villages and lower class who were sent to Harvard and stanford....Iran unis were as good as best unis in US and UK....I am sorry that you have no idea about Iran then....I remember bits of it and I lived in southern Tehran then...a HAPPY CHILD i WAS BACK THEN!

  • by the way internet did not exist either...what is important is that all Iran best universities, parks, buildings, cinemas, cafes, museums, in all cities were built at that time. Iran that had basically nothing...Big cities had electricity...and you don't need to tell us lie Mr. David...you are not even Iranian

  • If 1979 revolution had n't happened what we were probably missing today in 2010 based on you is probably TV... you have no clue!!!!

  • I know that revolution made the situation of women terrible!!! sare maa zanane Iran ke badjoori kolah raft...I am sure it affects everybody...bani adam azaye yek digarand che zan che mard

  • Free iran!

  • Can anybody tell me how the shah got to power, and if it has anything to do with oil industry of iran ;) thnx.

  • His father left Iran because he could not, according to himself, rule the country when the British and the Russians invaded and occupied it. Iran at that time was very weak military wise because the previous governments did not work to build Iran and of course foreign powers stopped us all the time. Then the Shah got power.

  • But how did he get power? Did it not have anything to do with the following event:

In 1951, under the leadership of the nationalist movement of Dr. Mohammed Mosaddeq, the Iranian parliament unanimously voted to nationalize the oil industry. This shut out the immensely profitable Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC), which was a pillar of Britain's economy and political clout in the region. A month after that vote, Mosaddeq was named Prime Minister of Iran.

  • No, he had power long time before that. That above is very disputed with different stories. Mossadegh was a traitor who destroyed Iran rather than working for it.

  • No, he had power way before that. As I said, his father left the throne and he took over. How did his father get power? Through a military coup when he saw that the government was not doing anything to protect and build Iran.

What you stated above is very disputed.

  • @legendsdontdie, The evil Brits & the liberals westerners in USA who imposed Khomeini on Iran R trying to rewrite the history too. Mosadegh was not replaced by the Shah in 1953. Mosadegh was once more chosen by the Shah 1 year earlier to be his Prime Minister. The She was indeed king since 1942 when the evil Brits overthrow his father.

  • Reza Khan was the greatest Shahanshah to have walked the earth (Kourosh e Kabir is obviosuly up there too)

  • Fuck Islam,Allah, Muhammad...Allah was a gay sadist moon idol, with a lot of hate for women, and humanity....Did I say Fuck Allah????yes I did...FUCK ALLAH the savage Arab moon idol

  • Like I said he was million times better than this barbarious killer regime... marg bar har che akhoonde jakesh

  • GOD BLESS THE PAHLAVI DYNASTY

  • may god damn the akhoonds....i hope the akhoond's will be remembered in the history museeum after the islamic republic is gone

  • While I am writing this, the same time I am crying.

I do miss our shah so much, I want my country back, is there anybody can tell me how I can help in anyways.

    Javid Shah for ever

  • @nikita1344

Even though, I am a non-Iranian, I like Shah too. Imagine, if Shah like him had been in power for 30 years up until now, Iran would have been far far better. But unfortunately, it fell under Islamic regime and you can see the result. Who is the cause of Shah's fall is unknown to me. Who killed him or how did he die is also another question.

  • @nikita1344 His eldest son has set up a website and blog to continue the freedom movement and is actively posting on twitter to extend the hand of peace to those trapped within the regime. Look it up. Brings a little hope.

  • when was shah, Iran was the most visited, the richest and most beautiful, most powerful country in the world

  • The best Shah ( king ) ever.

  • Yes.. "Yade Iran bekheyr"

But let us not forget that Shah was also a dictator. Whether it was constitutional monarchy or not, it is a proven fact. However its obvious that he was way better than these Mullahs who are Arab ancestors. May Iran be free one day from any dictator

    FREE IRAN!<333

  • Well, the Shah was not completely a dictator and dictator does not have to have a bad meaning. Iran had a parliament and a senate at that time and political parties. Iran's situation was different. You can not have 100% democracy when more than half the nation can't write or read, how do you have democracy then? All you will see is other nations exploiting your democracy then, which is what the Shah feared and supporters of the Shah.

  • SHAH FOREVE

shah was a dictator he was a monarchy follower like in our 2500 years of monarchy

    islam is dictator

  • Iran, The land of Aryans has always been under attack & invasion during It's long glorious history. From Romans, Mongols and Arabs (who are currently in power). An old Persian quotation says: Sun never remains behind the clouds. The truth shall be visible to the world one day. Peace be upon to those true Iranians who fight with such a fascist and unhuman regime. Death to dictator and down with Islamic republic of Iran. Free Iran <3 <3 <3 NA SHAH KHASTIM NA MOLA, LANAT BE TO ROOHOLLAH!

  • If you do not get the quote, here's the meaning: The Shah never stopped to greet people or shake hands with them and to ask them what they needed in their lives or what they lacked. True he was a million times better than these barbarious Mullahs, but afterall he only listened to the British & Americans. Guess who brought him to power after WWII when his father was put in exile...The British!

  • Oh yeah, you are right. Just because a book wrote that it must mean it's true - you have any personal experience? If you want to talk about books and such then please read Houchang Nahavandi - The Last Shah of Iran where you can read how the Shah visited students, talked to them and so on EVEN THOUGH he was not supposed to! If you are really interested I can look up the pages for you. British did not bring him to power - that would be stupid. What evidence is it for that In fact just tell me WHY

  • Mr. Amavand,

You don't need to tell me anything about books. Yes I am telling some also from experience, not personal but through my dad who was brigidair general(Edaree Dovvom) under the Shah working with some prominent generals like Rabii, Neshat, Berenjian and so forth...He said few days after the revolution Rabii (Air Force) had told him and others "Now I realize how weak and fragile the Shah's foundation was. It crumbled so quickly with a little help from the big powers."

  • Some people need to get their facts right seriously, The King was a muslim, he respected all , he forgave, you cannot expect the same thing from two very different people, Khomeini killed, shah saved, both muslims in a different way, do not dislike islam while saying you like the shah, a very idiotic statement i say, from some people.

  • Long live Shahanshah Aryamehr Mohammad Reza Pahlavi!!!!!

    LONG LIVE MONARCHISM!!!

    EY IRAN!!!!

Long live the Empire of Iran!!

Long live the Kingdom of Portugal!!

  • waaaw iran changed a lot !

  • becoz of ur fucking religion and fucking arabs who ruined my country

    FREE IRAN OF ISLAM

  • As a child, my nanny told me stories about the ancient empire. Later, my mother would tell me of how the Shah was our friend and ally. As a Jew, I know how it feels to lose your homeland to foreigners, but if my people can get ours back, you will too. Your people saved my people thrice. Therefore, we owe you folks. Thanx for the video...tears and all...

  • Thank you.

  • dam iran back then was better than america back then

1979 iran was better than any 1979 country

  • man how much PRIDE WE COULD HAVE BACK THEN.

if you really look into the facts, JIMMY CARTER WRECKED IRAN. the U.S. and BRITAIN wrecked us, and now look what has happened to lebanon.

  • what do you mean what happened to lebanon???

who cares about lebanon, i hate communist russia and stupid u.s. presidents like carter. so piss off. AND I FUCKING HATE RADICAL MUSLIMS. iran will be free because everyone in iran is protesting right now for a new gov. so im happy

  • really nice country with really shit rules.... :( loves from ur turkish bro ! :)

  • i cried 3 times during this video, man its been tooo long away from iran, 10 years now,,,, i miss my iran, IRAN I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART

  • He was a good man. He made some huge mistakes like distancing himself from his peoples and not embracing them and allowing some members of savak take total control on every aspects of life in Iran which cost him the kingdom

  • I do not agree with you - distancing himself from his people? How do you mean exactly?

He did not allow members of savak take control - this savak thing is becoming a "huge deal".

  • Here's a quote from a book (can't remember where I read it): "When one of his majesties close confidants went to Iran, she had one of the Shah's chaufeurs drive her in Tehran after the revolution. When they came to a fork, the driver veered to the left, she shouted no! to the right we must go, but it was too late and the driver could not reverse, because under the Shah he never needed to learn to drive in reverse.!" You cannot be a people's monarch if you are not close to your people like Diana

  • i love this clip, it shows the women work force and their learning in schools and universities... hail to all the great women in iran!

  • I was fortunate enough to visit Iran in 1968 during the heyday of His Imperial Majesty's rule. I was only 8 years old but to this day remains one of the greatest moments of my life. Even at that age I could see the might and power of the military and the modernisation of the day clearly, together with the great and proud history of Persian civilization.

  • I am sincerely sorry for all the Iranians who have suffered under this Islamic republic.

My thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Those mullahs will burn in hell one day.

  • He was a great king! but the only mistake he did was that he let khomeini come to iran and should kill him like his father killed khomeinis father!

    yadesh bekher...

  • 1000000 agreee

He should killed khomany immediately since he step his feet in Iran

  • The son of the Shah should have been the new Shah now if that revolution had not occurred.

Had Iran stayed a pro-western Nation, there probably would not be Hezbollah or any of those terrorist organizations.

  • Was the Shah really hated in Iran?

According to what I've heard, he was a brutal dictator. Is this true?

  • absolutely not. he and his father were the saviors of this nation and country.

  • Then why was there a revolution at all?

What were the people protesting and why about the Shah's secret police force SAVAK, a force that supposedly tortured many innocent Iranians?

I'm just going by what people have said in interviews and history books.

  • mistakes are made in any government. services done to Iran during the Pahlavi dynasty far exceed the mistakes and shortcomings. it was the eracof progress and modernity. u cannot find any denial of this in any history book.

Iran's system needed only some corrections not a revolution. people's attempt to make those corrections deviated from its path and their revolution was stolen from them by mullahs. u can see the long term outcome of that revolution today.

  • The outcome is not good at all.

    Those fucking mullahs!

So the majority of Iranians are not anti-american then?

The media here in America makes it look like all Iranians hate us.

  • no no no. never make that mistake. it's just the governments that hate each other. Iranian people have got nothing against the Americans. Iran and the US were great allies before the revolution.

Jimmy Carter stabbed the shah in the back and misused people's discontent to overthrow him in order to secure the american and european interest in the region's oil.

iranian people love to have relations with the US. the iranian government position doesn't reflect the view of iranian people whatsoever.

  • Maybe if the shah didn't have a brutal human rights record that was condemned even by Amnesty International, Carter would have no reason to tell the shah to lessen up the restrictions.

  • Maybe if you would of read about how Shah invited Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations in Iran to review the judicial and prison-system we wouldn't have to read your comment?

Maybe if you had for a second thought about all the brutal human rights record during Carter and other US presidents as well maybe we wouldn't have seen your comment here.

  • SAVAK was Iran's security force to protect Iran from extern and intern damage. Just like FBI/CIA. Without SAVAk Iran would of been destroyed by many countries like Russia.. Iraq etc etc. SAVAK at many times stopped bombs in centers by the Tudeh Party. They saved a lot of time.

  • Unfortunately SAVAK was not able to focus too much on external affairs as much as it should had of because it spent most of its energy fighting the ever increasing danger from Mojaheddin terrorists planning on making Iran another Soviet Union in terms of ideology. Without Savak Mojaheddin would of taken over Iran in the 60s and burnt it to the ground and been annexed by the Soviets. God bless the Savak!!!! and Gold bless our beloved king, the Shah!!! He had created the best safety and calm.

  • No. He was not hated by the Iranian people. The Iranian people wanted to have fun and thought by revolting they will have better lives but they had worse lives now.

Ask any questions you want. But he was not a brutal dictator. In fact Iran had a parliament and a senate, is that dictatorship? There were elections, referendums etc. Look up the White Revolution launched by the Shah - is that how brutal dictators act?

  • Yes, you are right. And which people on earth, no matter how rich they are or lifestyle they have, don't always want more!? Khomeini and the West played with the Iranian people's psychological minds and human ambitions with false promises of even greater things. Iranians love to have endless fun and is never enough for them , you are right. Look at Iranians abroad, all they do is go to concerts and party.

If anything the Shah was an extreme humanitarian, not a dictator or unjust ruler at all.

  • No he was not nor was he a brutal dictator, would a brutal dictator simply leave the country without a fight? He loved his people, thus he left the nation to avoid a bloodbath.

  • Thanks to the "Islamic Revolution", Persia reverted back to the Middle Ages. A pity, it could be one of the best places on earth.

  • really it could be, I'm so saddend by that. All the beaches... The nature... The culture! Persepolis just mentioning one incredible place not taken proparly care of.

  • well i know first hand it was better back then cuz my mother is from there and she said it was like europe I see it now in the video how sad that they went back like 50 years after the revolution..will they ever recover? I doubt it especially after a stronger resurgence of islam after 9/11 its sad but true, but lets hope all the people there right now wanting freedom dont die in vein GO PROTESTORS MAY YOU GET FREEDOM.

  • Whoa the women where WAY hotter back then.

  • Iranians were complaining about their culture being lost? From the looks of this video its looks like they embraced the modern and Western lifestyle with very open arms.

Take a look at Japan for instance. It embraced a modern, secular and rather Western lifestyle, now look at it today. It has the second strongest economy in the world, it's a pioneer in the world of technology, the standard of living is extremely high and it culture evolved in a unique manner. Iran could've been another Japan!

  • where the mistake happend then !!, what is the reason of these radical came to power ??, what make ppl go protesting ?? about what they were angry if every thing was going towords "" A SECOND JAPAN "" why they made a revolution in the face of modern civilization !! it must be sth wrong happend ??!!!
