It's actually a running theme through a few of their videos, I think when watched all together it may make more sence, I know they appear in "Maybe Tomorrow" and "earh dies screaming" videos to.

There was a Best of UB40 VHS out in the late 80s or early 90s. The fat family were sat watching all of the videos and making comments during and in between each song. My guess is that the videos now on youtube have been ripped from that VHS
