I have tried both LL and DD (16-20-24). For 20, 24 and up I will prefer LL. If one does not like coarseness of LL's handle, just slightly sand it with the fines sandpaper. You will get what you prefer in less then a minute. The problem with 16k bell for LL is that the handle is too narrow in comparison to other sizes. DD's handle is still thick even with 16k.
In summary: 16K is for DD, 20k up is for LL.
If anyone had a different experience with LL16, please let me know.

If you listen to the Pavel followers there is nothing better. I just like getting an honest OBJECTIVE opinion from someone that has put both through the paces
Thanks, I want to get doubles to match my 24 K Dragon Door and my 32 K Dragon Door KB. I think I am leaning toward the Lifeline KB because of cost and the fact that Dragon Door now makes their KBs in China. How well do the lifeline KBs and the Dragon Door KBs match up dimensionally???
@XBULLET200g , I have compared my Lifeline 28 and a DD 32. They are almost exactly the same size, height and width. Reason being the LLs are a little taller than DDs, and there's more meat in the handle of the LL.

LIfeline is made in USA. Dragon Door is not. What else do you need to know?
Be American and buy American.

Just a quick note that Dragon Door's bells are now all e-coats. The texture and overall design is very similar to Lifeline's bells now.
