  • zajebiście to jest to pozdro z Polski

  • What I would do to date one of those gorgeous river dancers.

  • stare ale jare

  • @bloodflowehr What jare means in polish? young?

  • "stare ale jare" = old but energetic, lively

  • @bloodflowehr so jare means energetic, jumpy. Thank you =)

  • what's the music?

  • There great but there shows in the 90's were a little bit better.

  • Irish step dance beats the hell out of American Tap dance...to me anyway

  • I have to agree with you. These guys are incredible.

  • @MsRavingRae LOL you realize that American Tap dance basically came from teh Irish right? lol when they came here they brought it with them. the people learned it. though they use their whole body unlike the irish dancing where you are all stiff lol love it

  • @MsRavingRae Well American Tap dancing originated from Traditional Irish dancing.

  • cant beat the real 1

  • looks AWESOME!

  • Are you serious? These people have in incredible mental discipline. Clarity of perception. I would like to see you perform with the stamina and synchronization that these people do. hahahah987 your criticism is unfounded.

  • THIS ISN"T TAP DANCIN!!!! sorry for yelling but i do irish stepdance and that's what eveyone says when they see hardshoe, you can't phyically do the same thing with tap shoes, no toes.

  • magnifico padrisimo de verdad.lo que pueden hacer unos cuantos...........y lo que sienten muchos al ver esta danza........que diferencia no creen......

  • AWESOME! I love Riverdance!!!

  • Amendment: Of course I've meant "before" Lord of the Dance...not after...:-)

    Sorry^^

  • To "magpie":

It's NOT a variation of "Lord of the Dance".

The "Riverdance"-Show conquered the Show-World 2 or 3 years after "Lord of the Dance".

Both Shows Riverdance and Lord of the Dance are spectecular. But my heard beats a sense more for Riverdance:-)

To "Actors": No, this Song/Scene is unfortunatly not on CD:-(

To "Paox": Thanx for posting! I didn't know this version/Troup yet...

  • Wow that 1:42 part is awesome.

  • What song is this? It doesn't exist on the CD....

  • Actors, I think its a variation of: "The Lord of the dance"

  • uhhhhh, no.

"Riverdance" was first. "Lord of the Dance" is the imitator.

  • "My mistake" something which you'll never hear Obama say

  • 1:42 effective!!!

  • great preformance

  • Video is Fuzy

  • minunat!

  • my birthplace :)

  • Freaky shit but pretty good - i like it!

  • WT? i think you're commenting on the wrong video here, weird :/

  • F?

    ............eh....nope

    seems to be in order

  • river dance is wonderful and im proud to say im irish born and bred.. and im most certainly not dirty nor am i a thief either ... i think massdrewski might be jealous thats all... he wishes he was irish.... all the greatest people in the world have a bit of irish blood in them!! :D

  • the greatest? lol!

  • Well massdrewski, I am Irish and I am not filthy and have never stolen anything.

I also did riverdance for 7 years, it is NOT just stamping your feet, it takes alot of skill and talent, I don't know what nationality you are but I am 100% certain I would never be so horrible towards people of the same nationality!

  • Shouldn't you be watching cartoons, little boy?

  • leave him alone he's obviously got a severe mental disorder... he just needs to be taught... the irish are in no way filthy and if you ever came to the country you would see that...... and i'd like to see you "stamp your feet" that fast to with such a good rythem. your probably still learning to clap your hands. so put back on your helmet and get on the bus you window licker

  • are you sayin' you dont eat potatos too???

chips are made out of potatos, you must not eat chips.

  • i'm irish and i haavent stolen a thing!

what have you got against the irish???

  • that doesnt answer my question. what have you got against the Irish????

where the fuck are you from that you have such a strong prejudice against the Irish????

  • I think you have an identity problem. Also you're looking for some to argue with. Can't you just enjoy the entertainment and let others do the same. Irish are just as honest as any people on earth...also warm, fun and loving. Go Irish!

  • what are you english or something?

  • What is your problem. This stuff is very hard to do. I just started taking lessons this year. Its a lot of work. Its not just feet stamping you idiot!

  • maybye in your mind! but to some people like me we think this is a graceful dance using ur feet so shutup! ur probably som 45 yr. old who still lives with his mother who does nothing all day but eat twinkies and watch tv!

  • Looking for a boyfriend?

  • wat the hell!? im a guy u freakin idiot!!!!

  • bellissimo

  • kala iremise megale

  • there great i am going to be a member of them next year cant wait :)

  • sweet! it's really eerie, but today i remembered riverdance existed after forgetting them for years, so i looked up tour dates and, turns out, they are an hour away at this exact moment =D

  • that is some great foot work. its sounds so cool.

  • я тоже так хочу танцевать! :))

  • Went to see the last in Plymouth, brilliant show words fail me. Shame they had to play on such a puny stage though. Shame its come to an end

  • I love riverdance!!

I wish i could dance like that :)

  • wow thats amazing

  • God bless every Riverdance from Irish community theater to the big leagues.

  • siexander79 -- Jesus mate what the hell is up your arse?! Easy on the language number one, number two, keep that kind of comment to your self, and number three shut-up and ejoy it or else leave!

  • i know cruisity killed the cat but what did they say???

  • it's called "curiosity", genius!

  • What is this particular riverdance called?

  • не реально, круто. :)

  • I like what they are trying to do with the costumes and with putting more life into it - the original Riverdance members often looked miserable when they were performing!!

It does look a bit cheap and tacky though.

But I hate that the lighting designer thinks it's all about him. How are you supposed to watch the footwork when the lights are flashing like you're at a disco in the 1970s?!

  • The reason the original members look miserable is because it's common in Riverdance to remain stoic while dancing.

  • AWSOMEEE

    i wish i could do that... :)

  • I got One word for ya, Synchronized

  • hell yea !!!!!!!

  • what can I say amazing...

  • This is good, but its a broken shameful representation of the ORIGINAL Riverdance

The outfits are tacky, the cheesy smiles & flashy lighting effects.

    The shoes sound very...tinny =S

Oh and does ANYONE understand the point of the screaming ?! lol

  • I agree with you totally.

This all looks like somthing out of Eurovision.

I would say this version is about as useful as the EU.

  • They still can't beat the grace and elegance Jean Butler and Colin Dunne had. And the costumes are not as good either. Sorry, but yeah. Jean and Colin were the best. They had the most chemistry and the dance just suited them the best.

  • VERY EPIC

  • Sounds like Machine-Gun fire.

  • SICK BEAT

  • Hee it looks like the lead dancer's shoe straps poke out...I hate it when mine does that =) glad I'm not the only one

Love Riverdance, hoping to make it in one day.

  • Cool!

  • i've seen this routine before i'm just not sure who performed it..either way, i never get tired of it. makes me proud to have irish blood running through my veins.

  • Ме тоо

  • Absolutely Incredible! I get goosebumps every time I watch this.

  • DEUTSCHLAND!!!!

  • toller Kommentar geistreich und mit viel Hirn geschrieben

  • oooooooooo , atat de minunat !

  • It must take them days or weeks to rehearse this!

  • months years ;)

  • Well if you look on other youtube movies you will see that this dance is performing a lot of times! So they do it many times.

  • I'll never get tired of seeing this performance.

  • I have seen Michael Patrick Gallagher a few years back in Chicago in Riverdance and he was indeed a very good dancer.

  • Michael Pat Gallagher has got to be one of the best leads for Riverdance after Flately and Dunne left.

  • AMAZING

  • Awesome dancing! 5+Star video!

    Great share, music123mum!

    Very best of wishes!

    GinMillBill

  • IRISH STEP DANCING ROCKS!

  • That was very nice! I would love to see that live. :)

  • The group used to be bigger...

  • Don't get me wrong, I love it, I wish I could do it, if i ever get the chance at lessons I'm taking them. But really I've seen this performance 3 or 4 times now under different names and the people in this video specificaly (in the audiance) need to stfu.

  • i love the music in combination with the tapdance...

    i love the sound.

  • Sure would like to take a special ladie out to see this. Very cool.

  • someday-

    I'll dance like this-

    in the mean time-

I'm stuck in a dance away from prelim.

    :(

It's starting to stink like horse poo. being stuck in that spot.

  • i love watching riverdance soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me too!! :)

  • The male lead is Michael Pat Gallagher, the brother of my irish step teacher:)

  • it is a part of riverdance! hahahha tap dance, clearly not! so proud te b irish :D

  • dat shit is class......

  • love being irish! :P

  • What are you talking about? This is part of Riverdance and it certainly is Irish step dance.

tap dancing has nothing to do with this.

  • You are right!! ^^

  • its not the song riverdance, maby its just extended, it probally is apart of the show riverdance, what do ya call that dancing then ? always tap dancing in my eyes ?

  • No, it's not the number 'Riverdance' it's 'Heartland' by Bill Whelan, another dance number from Riverdance - The Show.

All the dancing you see here is Irish Step dancing. Not tap dancing.

Irish step dancing and American Tap dancing are only two styles of Step dancing! There is Ottawa Valley Step, Clogging, Canadian Step and Cape Breton Step to name a few.

If you are interested in American Tap, try checking out the number 'Trading Taps' from Riverdance - The Show.

  • it is a riverdance song. have you ever gone to see riverdance?

  • Of course it's a Riverdance song. It's Heartland by Bill Whelan.

And yes, I have seen Riverdance - The Show live. My teacher is the lead dancer.

  • Although michael flatley did wear taps most of the time for lord of the dance and sometimes for riverdance

  • how is this not riverdance, idiot?

  • How am I an idiot? I Irish step dance, I've seen Riverdance and my teacher is a lead dancer.

But this particular number is not 'Riverdance' it is Heartland FROM Riverdance.

  • This is so cool and the outfits are cute.

  • yeah but it would be more cuter and cooler if they would wear traditional irish clothes!

  • Not as good as MF and JB, but very good all the same, tbh I liked the traditional black dresses even tho the leads green one is very nice. IT doesn't quite seem to have the same "professionalism" and slick sound to it.

  • I like this one :)

There is one thing i can tell.

This groep is smaller than Michael`s...

  • Uber...

  • Why are so many people offending

    #1- the Irish people

    and

    #2- these step dancers

Those step dancers have worked their asses off for years to get where they are to have ignorant people bash them just because the main man and woman isn't Michael Flatley and Jean Butler.

Also, Irish people don't spend their entire day drinking whiskey nor dancing. They have lives just like everyone else. Some of you people have to seriously grow up.

Now to those who are mature,

  • I congratulate you for not bashing on either Irish people nor these step dancers. God knows I want to learn to step dance.

  • I agree! I just tried out for river dance, and made it! I am so excited! To all you people dissin' these dancers, i'd like to see YOU do what THEY do! They work their butts off to make it that good, and you probably couldn't last one minuet, no, one second in their shoes. THEY ROCK!

  • CONGRATS!! I'm sure it was pretty tough. Take care and much love.

  • Thanks!!!!

  • I totally agree.

I am a beginning dancer and it is MEGA HARD!

People who don't do it don't realize the major passion that is needed to do this stuff.

I used to have a penpal from Ireland, the aren't very different from kids in the US!

  • O_\\ woah, I totally envy you just for trying to learn how to step dance. And I envy you x2 for having a penpal in ireland (i envy anyone that has a penpal from a different country). Yeah, not many people realize the struggle and effort put into step dancing. All those ignorant people think that just buy moving your feet and jumping a bit, you're automatically step dancing. Congrats on being a newbie dancer....which means, you're way better than me..I don't know how to step dance at all >_\\.

  • Actually, I am not exactly a "newbie", I am just not very far up, I'm only a novice. But our indtructor has been giving us a few pre-lim steps, which is incredibly, wow.

Our 3rd grade teacher had us do penpals, it was awesome.

The part you said about it being "automatic", is totally true! If it isn't automatic, it is going to be 2x as hard when it is 90 degrees outside like at one of my feises. (they let us dance in shorts, thank god. I almost passed out from heat!)
