  • @WhatTheHell396 yeah god bless the south im from the south so yeah... so whats up hey send me a message so we can talk

  • @WhatTheHell396 you are so right i have been the only one that really knows that but now you and i are maby the only people who gets this and yes i am a civil war history buff

  • Never forget!

    DEO VINDICE!

  • What is noble about mass treason?

  • @PacificCircle1 It's not treason if it's the will of the people, Adolf.

  • @MSfeller Actually I should have used the word 'sedition' King George!

And you claim us on the left want to take down the government!

  • 1:45 hell I'm with company K of the 71st.This must be companies A or B right

  • The latest rebels flew planes on 9/11 those who oppose the union support bin laden. so get real and take a dump at arlington if you realy believe what you're saying.

  • its greet musick but adofabe is sioling this hevenly tune.

  • Civil War will never end as the north never respected the surrender and burned the south.

    King Louis

  • so where is Springfield Ranch?

  • I love Dixieland !!!!!!!

  • Frankly, I do not care where you were born. It is immaterial to the question at hand.

CITE your supposed Constitutional reference. You can't , because what you quote is not in the US Constitution.

  • OK. Let me get this straight. According to you every lawyer is wrong who studies the Constitution? Because I know for a fact they would say the same thing, sir. And you know nothing of the Civil War if you insist on arguing about it. 7% of the Southern states owned slaves, the rest were poor farmers who could NOT afford them. And the States did have the right to secede. Maryland even had the right, because it fought over the states rights issue.

  • No, not every lawyer who studies the Constitution is wrong. You're no lawyer, and you are wrong.

    Cite your reference.

7% of Southern states had slaves? Umm, you are really out there.

Secession is illegal. It's been settled. Grow up and get over it.

Go to school. You seriously need to go.

  • The whole war was over slavery. Don't kid yourself. The South was drowning under the weight of the slaves already held there. There was more money to be made by selling slaves to people in the new Western states. The North opposed the idea of new states being slave states. As a result, the South thought it could do as it pleased. They learned that they cannot. Slavery was the crux of the war. Read the Articles of Secession, by the seceeding states. They all say slavery was the main issue.

  • By the South they where fight for states rights. And actully, if you ask one of the reinactors about what it was fought over they will tell you the same theing.

  • I find it funny how you tell me to grow up. Especially when you're the one arguing with someone who's more than likely half your age. And I know I'm not a lawyer. But I have members of my family that are. Doubt it if you want, as I know you probably will. And by the way, secession is illegal only if ignorant people say so. Twice, Americans had the right to secede. But you would know that wouldn't you? One failed one didn't. Go back to England if you don't like secession because we did it once.

  • The answer regarding secession was given on April 13, 1865, when Lee surrendered the Southern forces to General U. S. Grant.

Since it is not I, but YOU who wants out of our country; by all means, and at your earliest opportunity, please leave.

We, Americans do not want or need sunshine patriots who whine and cry at every turn. Since you don't like the USA, please, do the country a favor: GET THE FUCK OUT, AND DON'T COME BACK!

  • I find it funny because I never once said I hated the United States. Please do not put words in my mouth. As for the issue at hand, sir. I'm merely stating facts when I say the Federal Government was doing the same thing England did when we first seceded! Taxes without consent of the population. Tyrannical overuse of governmental power. This why we created democracy as our government. Not a republic. And I'm joining the Military anyway, so sir, all I want, and all they wanted was to have freedom

  • You know nothing. The South was dying under the crushing weight of the slaves. The real money was in selling them. THe South wanted to sell them to the new Western states. THat's what the North opposed. So, the South had a tantrum and tried to get out of it's constitutional pact by destroying the Union. THAT is what the war was primarily about. It nothing to do with taxation without representation. Since your joining the Union's military, that already makes you a traitor.

  • "The South was dying under the crushing weight of the slaves," funny... last time I check the slaves ran the plantations that kept the South alive... and if the money was in selling, why did the Confederate Constitution outlaw the International Slave trade? And they did not want to destroy the Union... they wanted to leave it... there is a big difference... Davis had a policy of you do what you do and let us do what we do... there was no intention of destroying the Union....

  • @lonewolf8854 Not quite sure why that guy said that or where he got his "facts" from but what a load of crap. The South never attacked what was considered the North they were actually invaded by the North and they defended what they thought was theirs. If he looked up facts Slaves played a huge role in the south for certain victories. They joined up and formed their own regiments because they felt that they were being invaded also. Sherman was burning their heritage away as well.

  • @jesusboii77 The first shot of the war was fired when Confederate artillery opened fire on Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor on April 12, 1861.

  • @markhinr Yes I know that. South Carolina had succeeded from the Union so they were defending what they considered theirs. They gave them time to vacate the premises before they opened fire. The Union Army did not send the ships in time and Beauregard gave the order to fire.

  • @jesusboii77 The Federal troops at Fort Sumter were trying to prevent South Carolina from succeeding . . . but I can also understand your point of view that the Confederate forces were defending what they considered to be their state. It's just a matter of point of view, which of course differs depending upon which state you live in. I'm in Wisconsin so it would be disrespectful to argue that your view is wrong. Maybe we can agree that it's okay to disagree?

  • @markhinr works for me.

  • I like the ending of the song with the musical part timed with the blast of the cannon at 2:38 or so.

  • tomorrow belongs to dixie god save the new confederacy its our time boys keep flying the flag deo vindice

  • You're a funny, funny, little man. Yes, by all means, go ahead and try to secede. By law, you'll have to to pay off every debt to the Federal gov't, first. And that, you are unable to do.

    Case closed.

  • Yes, sir, I do know of Constitutional Law knowledge, you do not. To apply, infinitive case, to ask for employment, acceptance, etc., as to a job, club, etc. And for your information it is NOT your country, unless you purchased it with your nonexistant millions of dollars. And when they submitted their application for statehood, it was evident that they could withdraw if their government were to become destructive to the ends of its people.

  • Nice. Do you always go off half-cocked when someone shows you your ignorance, or do you do a different dance?

  • Yeah, you know Constitutional Law. What a LAUGH!!

You don't know SQUAT about the Constitution and your lame-brained attempt in your comment below certifies it, sir.

I suggest you actually READ the document, sir, before spouting off your ignorant foolishness.

  • cum clean my shitty asshole!

  • And, sir, I was born in Montana, but I digress. The Constitution even says if the government were destructive to its ends, the people had the right to 1.) alter it 2.) abolish it and 3.) to remove themselves from said government.

  • Why do i only see blue belly Yankees?! Where are the confederate soliders?!

  • they ran away!

  • wow ive never seen an asian civil war reenactor!

  • maybe because there were no Asian soldiers nor do many Asians want to reenact.

  • Hey -- The Civil War is over. I've got a great great grandfather whose side lost and a great great granfather whose side won. Time for reconciliation and sitting down to play some of this fine music together !

  • Can anybody tell me, where I can get this super-song in Germany ??

  • @FeralReason

Sounds good to me. No use having silly arguments over something that happened 150 years ago. Everyone has their own opinions, and one is certain. Both sides had awesome music!

  • @FeralReason No it's not that time. The South has a right to be independent..I don't care if 150 years have passed. The right to self governence is natural right and the U.S denys that right to the southland. You want to heal the wounds? Have the U.S offer a chance for all states to secede, and let the people choose. Util, then no good faith has been displayed by the north.

  • @FeralReason Check out the reunion 1930s FRO A reb1

  • Pats is right. You need to get a real education. Slaves were abused, tortured, raped, impregnated, neglected, and jailed.

The accounts and accusations were legion.

    That's OK,...how....exactly????

  • Yeah and guess what, Lincoln wanted the blacks sent BACK to Africa and the North was the one selling the slaves to the South. Blacks were mistreated by both sides, so get your facts straight.

  • @Truthseekerfinder fuck you we let some of the slaves go when the war first took place and we were nice to the slave yeah some people may have treated them bad but thats some we were nice to the slaves watch GETTISBURG or GODs and GENERALs they are all based on a true story so watch thoes movies and then see what you have to say about the slaves or the war asshole

  • You speak with a fool's tongue. Go to school. Get a real education. Try taking some American History courses while you're at it, because the ignorance you are so proud to display today will look even more foolish to you, once you've actually studied.

You do not possess the intellectual firepower to bandy wits with me.

  • go confederates!

  • Qué maravilla de recreaciones hacéis en USA. Qué perfección, qué ambientación tan original, qué despliegue de medios. Así da gusto.

  • nice! why is it suppose to be located in utah where all the pollgamy people is.

  • southerns well rule the north oneday!

  • Maybe. But, probably not until they can successfully spell simple words, at the very least.

Your simple sentence contains five errors.

Open a book. Go to school. Learn to proofread. Then, once you've masterd all that, continue commenting.

Don't worry, it'll only take you a few years to catch on.

    ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your a retard. i was in a rush so i was typing fast.

  • So was I, you web-fingered fuck.

  • oh whatever. you'r stupid.

  • Nice comeback, you failed product of incest.

  • thanks! i too think it was a GREAT comeback!

  • I think you'd better go, now, your sister/wife is calling you.

  • Now you're just being an asshat.

  • Oh, and this pathetic post contains another five.

Oh, and for the record, typing at 20 wpm isn't fast...except to you.

  • shut up and leave him alone retard

  • Go play with your video games, you half-brained donkey.

  • no thanks ill stand here with deerhunter against U

  • I pity you.

  • You're funny. Dumber than a box of rocks, but, funny.

  • I'm from the south and I can spell ok, or so I think. I guess you're the judge of that. Personally, my experience has been that southerners are just as learned as northerners. For instance, my grandpa was from Illinois, and nobody in his family ever went to college. They were also incredibly conceited. My mom is from the south and her family has been the exact opposite for centuries. I admire honest "hicks", south and north, a hundred times more than the Yankee capitalists who mislead them!

  • I admire honest people, hicks or Harvard professors. Makes no difference. If one is truly honest, especially with oneself, you cannot abide by slavery, in any form.

  • That slavery in any form--does that include the wage-slaves who were working in the Northern factories? Or the 6000 Chinese men who were imported to work on the railroads?

  • A "wage slave" was not legal property. Nor were the Chinese, Germans, or Irish. THey may have been slaves of their jobs, but they did not have masters who owned their bodies, with a title/deed to prove it. None of those people were "bound" to their jobs by law.

    The African slaves were.

  • Oh, that makes it so much better. I don't think the quality of life was any better for the people who weren't legal property. Somebody who owns something usually has an interest in taking care of it as opposed to someone merely "using" something. Just ask someone who has rented a car or someone who owns rental property.

  • The stories of slave abuse and the conditions in which they lived are legion.

Sorry. You can put lipstick on a pig, all day long. At the end of the day, it's still a pig.

  • Oh yes 7 year olds working in factories in Boston 16 hours a day 7 days a week is a true testament to Northern moral principals. Also if slavery was the real issue why did the emancipation proclamation only free slaves in the South? Hmmmm. The winners always get to write history. Put that on your Yankee porcine metaphor and make ham out of it.

  • Try reading the southern states' articles of cessation. Every single one of them cites slavery as a prime reason for their treasonous, traitorous, illegal cessation.

I doubt you have the capacity to process and understand what they mean, but you should read them, nonetheless, to help keep you from coming off as such an uneducated moron.

  • If a marriage can be dissolved (the most important union) so can the national union of states be dissolved. Nothing in the U.S. Constitution prevents secession by a member state.

  • I'm afraid it does. Try actually reading it.

  • I have read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence specifically says the governed have the right to change the government; like the colonies left England. I can't find any discussion on the topic in the Constitution and would like to know which article and paragraph you read as disallowing a state from leaving the union.

  • Well, I gave you enough time. Apparently you can't find it.

Article I, Sectio 10 states, "No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation"

    End of discussion.

  • Sir, I will assume that you are speaking of a "State" of the United States. If a State has left the Union...it is no longer a State and can enter into anything that it wishes. Your topic does not cover Secession, it coveres "Laws" of the Union. End of discussion.

  • Cute attempt at twisting logic. As a "state", it cannot enter into a confederacy in the first place, therefore, it cannot secede. THat language, and all it portends, was ratified by the states that seditiously broke the law and defied the rest of the country.

And, nice attempt at loser logic by proclaiming the discussion ended, without regarding a response. A sophomoric tactic, at best.

  • I guess "language" should apply to 13 colonies as well? Or other former members of the British or French colonial empires? Or the former Soviet Republics?

  • read my comment posted. we had every right to secede

  • Wrong. All the Southern states owed billions of dollars to the Federal gov't at the time of secession. To even attempt to secede without payment of outstanding debt was and is illegal.

Frankly, I wished they'd have paid up and left. The North didn't want any more to do with the South's reliance on and fondness for slavery.

Slavery was a blight on this country, perpetuated by the South's insistence on admitting new states as "slave states".

    Slavery was wrong. Period.

  • Very cute. But, wrong, as usual for you "deo vindice" idiots.

A "state" is IN the Union. Show me the legal proof that a "stste", that has ratified the US Constitution, can summarily leave when the notion arrises.

You cannot show me any proof, because it doesn't exist.

    Idiots.

  • Your opiniion that the government is, or was "broken", or "tyrannical" is simply an opinion, not fact.

And speaking of contracts, how dare the South attempt to secede when it owed billions of borrowed dollars to the federal government. That's defaulting on a loan and is illegal, MORON.

  • You, Fool, proved my point. All states had to apply, be approved, and ratify the US Constitution, thusly, making them legal entities of the USA.

Your pathetic attempt to discredit me is even more efoolish than your twisted grasp of reality.

You have no clue regarding Constitutional Law.

And, sir, may I most emphatically suggest that if you don't like the USA, get the hell out of my country and don't return.

  • Hey! that's true! I read and old news paper of that era from new york that Stated to use Irish labor to mend roofs because if a neck is to be broken. It was cheaper it use the Irish instead of a slave (invesment). The truth is some times sad.

  • Yankee capitalists and Soouthern plantaion owners as well!!!!

  • Sorry about the misspelling

  • We are not reenacting, the Southern States still want their Independence. The War For Southern Independence is not over.

  • Yes it is.

  • Talk about beating a dead horse!!

Oh, it's quite dead, I assure you.

For almost 150 years. Stop chewing on a past you cannot change. Join the modern world. Enjoy your life, instead of being a bitter person.

Or, are you going to start a war with the North again? That wouldn't be very smart.

Ask David Koresh about going up against the Feds. Oh, right. You can't. He's dead.

    Really, move on already.

  • Maybe it's been pointed out already, but it uses the false lyrics: "Fighting for our property we gained by honest toil." The original lyrics used during the war were "Fighting for our liberty, through famine, war and toil." The change was part of a post-war historical revisionism.

  • I noticed that too

  • For the real truth look into joining a local CIVIL WAR ROUND TABLE

  • Reenacting would be cool if the folks taking part weren't so fat and old. It kind of kills the believability. And it's an expensive hobby. Which, I guess, explains why it's so full of old people.

  • Not to mention the black, female Confederate soldiers and other PC crap.

  • I was in a really good cavalry/artillery group in KY, but they had all these women come in uniform and that killed it for me.

I love have women in the hobby but not in the ranks.

  • I love the south where is the spring feild ranch?

  • ya, for souturn rights!

  • got a bit dark at 1:20

  • European immigrants joined the Union Army in large numbers too. 23.4% of all Union soldiers were German-Americans.

  • hey are you a reanacter and what regiment are you with if you are im in the 12th ill

  • To sIcity:

You should remake the video with the same music, but with no background noise. It really would be awesome!

  • heck, no I love it as it is!

  • I have never heard of this version, and I hate it

Also, the other noises ruined it

  • I think that guy on :16 had enough food ;D

  • some of these reenactors need to lay off the fatback and hardtack. poundage!

  • FOR THE SOUTH!

  • Good video, but why so many shots of Yankees, and Yankee Zouaves?

  • ya why i do think that is weird

  • Cool video. Check out song "Gettysburg" by Michael Chain on Youtube.

  • ¡¡¡¡Dixie forever!!!!

  • HORRA FOR SOUTHERN RIGHTS!!

  • Excellent video! Please come to my channel and click on my Civil War Video Playlist! I have done videos at Jackson's shrine and the location of the shooting in Chancellorsville!

  • Bonnie Blue Flag was actually written by an Irish actor touring the South, who was impressed the show of Southern force against tyranny. It is set to the tune of an old Irish song called "The Jaunting Car".

  • The author, Harry McCarthy, later recanted his southern sympathies, became pro-Union and moved to Philadelphia. As a result the song lost popularity in the south.

  • We have a word for this:

    TRAITOR!

  • For Ulster and The South.......................

  • The Bonnie Blue Flag was first used in 1815 as some New England states wanted to leave the union due ti the "War of 1812".

So the first Bonnie Blue flag was used by the Yanks...

  • WOW!!! Thank you for your American History!

  • Yeah, but it was used by Yanks that wanted to secede!

  • Ive always kinda wanted to see a civil war reenactment. I had two great great Grandfathers who fought on the side of the Union with the 1st Minnesota Volunteer Infantry. They both saw combat and one of them was wounded fighting in Gettysburg.

  • Love The South

  • *ahem* Im sorry I ment Great Great Great Grandfathers. My Grandpa's Grandpas :)

  • No wait, I think I was right the first time...'doh! this is what happens when I don't drink my coffee...

  • I do agree with you, that blacks have to help themselves, but you always have to ask yourself to which extent this is possible. I also wanted to say, that I really get angry if I read comments like "fuck you racist souherners", northern people can be so arrogant and judge so easily abot things which they know nothing of. And tey should lok at their own problems first. Being black in philly or latino in LA isn't funny either.

  • ENGLAND FOR THE SOUTH

  • god bless you, our English brother!

  • we need more of yall over here!!

  • With group approval, My Wife and I wish to enter this conversation.

We are both retired Petroleum Engineers, Military, but related as to this thread Husband SCV and SAR, Wife DAR.

We have traveled the world and have observed.

With your approval, we wish to comment.

    Please Advise At Your Leisure.

  • I'm sorry AS, but I cannot agree. I work as a high school teacher (at a public school) which is a profession many blacks in greater new orleans chose, but not because they are so fond of teaching, but because they don't get any good jobs athough they are college graduates. Many clever blacks from here migrate to the west, and many become teachers. These disappointed people now tell their black students that they won't get a good job anyways so why try?

  • YANKEES 1

    REBELS 0

    ITS ONLY HALF TIME

  • no its the end.If not .. the rest of the world will laugh its other half off .. ( me included ) :)

prolly the most unneeded loss of life since the crusades, be proud of that. Europe ( mainly the english) have made fun of it untill WW2.

  • I wondered what the English thought, and imagined it was something along the lines of,"Haven't even been a country a lousy 100 years and they're already squabbling like children." But I found a library book "Europe Looks at the American Civil War" with comments by notable contemporary people, and it wasn't anything like that. In my history classes, no one laughed about the Houses of York and Lancaster or Cromwell.

  • the englsih wanted to get into the war and help the south but the north was anti-slavery which kept england and europe out because they were anti-slavery also

  • NORTH WON THE WAR

  • FOR DIXIES LAND I TAKE MY STAND!

  • DIXIE!

  • ¡Dixie forever!

  • yeehoo go south

  • The Southerners are now more patriotic that the bleeding heart liberals of New England! Kinda, ironic?!?!

  • Not all of us are liberal up here im so conservitive i had to leave the republican party,(independant) couldn't see the differance between either side! Help us patriots trapped behind enemy lines! u may have noticed alot of us fleeing the north(be careful some of them are liberal spy's) just dont let them try an change your way of life whoopem into shape or sendem back! it might be too lates for us up here, but for Gods sake save yourselves!

  • Good video. I love the performance of the singer of "Bonnie Blue Flag". If you've got any other Civil War era music, I'd like to know where I can find it and download it.

  • who's singing?

  • do you need a g.e.d to take part of this festival of lights

  • The United States is OUR country. It is OUR responsibility to make it our FIRST PRIORITY. If you are willing to hurt our country for the benifit of another and its own then you belong with them. You are born with the duty, with an obligation to serve and protect the country that has born you, provided for you, and sheltered you, those that came before you, and those that will come after you.

  • amen to that and to hell with all foes of the united states!

  • I always get a chuckle out of re-enactments. So much fun to watch. Hoora for the Bonnie-Blue Flag that bears a single star! :D Glory to the South!

  • Hoora! Hoora! For Southern rights, hoora! Hoora for the Bonnie-Blue Flag that bares a single star!

Love the music, evein if the sounds and music from the video interferes a little.

  • very well done

  • nice vid songs ok i prefer a different version of the song but over all pretty good

  • Very nicely made movie! And I just love the version of the bonnie blue flag in this one :)

  • Our Laws are still our Laws, our Nation is still our Nation. Their illegal invasion and occupation is just as immoral today as it was then. Kick out the Federal Mafia and reclaim our White Nation!

  • There's no need for racism. Such claimance only proves the Yankees, scalawags, carpetbaggers, and the rest of the world right: that we are a racist people and our flag is an agent of evil. Don't play into their hands. The South is not a racist place, and neither is its flag!

  • nicely said AS, but untrue. I'm white myself and live in suburban new orleans. Our town has about 30% blacks, so how come not a single one of them works in the city hall, for the fire brigade or police? How whites call blacks 'nigger'? How come white people in my town have returned to their beautiful houses while black people still live in trailers because katrina destroyed their homes 2(!) years ago? If that is not racism.. The south is a racist place, but we are working to change that.

  • Your observations are true, but lack analysis. Many Blacks are lazy and arrogant. Many (not all) do not aspire to do great things. A vast majority are satisfied with jobs at fast-food resturaurnts and place no importance on an education or more esteemed jobs. When a disaster hits, they want the people who have good jobs (coincidentally Whites) to hand everything to them, and if they don't get it, Whites are automatically labeled: RACIST.

  • In Jackson, Mississippi, almost 100% of the Black population runs the resturaunts and other places on the same level. They are arrogant and haughty. I had a friend that stood in one of them for almost five minutes and the Black staff never so much as asked if they could help him. And that's just one example. Such behavior discourages visitors. As such, the city is losing its tax base as resturaunts shut down for lack of customers.

  • These are not racist statements. They are factual statements. I myself have several Black friends that I would die for. I would never dream of hating a man just because he was Black, and there are many like me. Not all Blacks are this way, but most of the Southern Black race is. A convenient way to escape this reality, is to slap someone like myself with racism.

  • Look at the situation and you will see it too. The problem is, White people can't help with the problem. Since it's a "racist" issue, Blacks must help themselves.

  • Good job on the video. Love the Bonnie Blue Flag version used here! God bless Dixie. Deo Vindice!

  • Where is this reinactment?

  • Las Vegas, At Spring Mountain Ranch.

  • What is the date you hold your event. I'm 7th S. Carolina in WA.

  • Świetna piosenka! God bless the south!

  • Very nice vid - hope you won't get into trouble and it's not treason to sing the Bonny Blue Flag in the US anymore!

  • Excelent song even though its a reb song

  • Love this! I used to reinact wi
