Corruption - Super Mario World

Sorry for this stupid question, but how do you corrupt a ROM with Erosion?

@MCMXLVIIIAlt not a stupid question, just requires a lengthy response.

Assuming you have erosion and its open, go to File/Load, pick your rom(always have an extra copy)

All corrupting is is trial and error(for me anyway).

Range of Erosion and Range will effect only those lines of code.

Preset Power will skip that many bytes of code til it effects the next one. (if power is 19, it will effect one, skip 19, effect next one...etc)

Finally, Replace Value determines how you want to alter the specifically selected lines of code. Random Byte works well.

Click erode, wait, then load rom on emu. If it crashes (then increase power) or if nothing is affected (decrease power), restore and try again or elsewhere.

Here's one I know that works on SMW:

RoE:57777to60000, Range43to231,Power12,RandomByt­e,Erode~

I then recorded the results in notepad for reference and tried something else.
