  • update to add RICHIE MCCAW

  • F-ing EPIC man!!

  • Salute to all captains!

  • No disrespect, but Taine Randell is seriously out of his depth in that lineup.

  • What a fine body of men. Mana!

  • im an english man but love the pride passion and power the All Blacks play with. Its how i used to play (maybe should have been born in NZ) and how i live life today.

  • Probably my favourite AB ad of them all.

  • wish Dad was alive to see this!

  • kooga arecompletely seperate to Canterbury. I work for Canterbury of NZ and kooga are our competition.

  • the welsh have done a similar advert (well basically the same) for the six nations ads on s4c. I like the simple idea of such an advert.

  • Was thinking they removed the Canterbury logo from the older All Blacks jerseys. I still think to this day CCC should be the supplier for all NZ rugby union team uniforms at the professional level.

  • @asasinz2 Whats even funnier.... is that Canterbury rugby is now supplied by KooGa. Its so silly!

  • it would be great if they kept adding Captains to this ad as each one takes over.

I guess it wouldnt be an ad it would become a documentry or a movie by the end of it lol.

  • this need a remake since the world cup is only a year away.

    Todd Blackadder

    Reuben Thorne

    Tana Umaga

    Sir Richie MaCaw

  • Always and forever Kia Kaha All Blacks. Behind you all the way. 2011 here we come.

  • Please please please remake this

  • Comment removed

  • the should make a remake before the 2011 world cup and since mcaw is the most successful captain to date

  • @janson84 I guess you're right in that the All Blacks have won lots of tests (but not all of them) with Richie at the helm, but the All Blacks never lost ANY tests when Buck Shelford was captain.

  • what song is it?¡

  • people care too much about the world cup, when every year 15 kiwis represent NZ on the pitch deserving our full support win or lose. We always end up #1 ranked in the world regardless & we're always the team all countries want to beat.

  • Nice vid

  • Nice vid. Good picture

  • The best ad and I agree they need to update this

  • yeah would absolutely love to see Mccaw in it

  • what song is this!!?!!

  • the need an updated version

  • i love the song, wish i could find it somewhere

  • ALL BLACKS

    were all heart

    never lay down

i was nine when this ad was shown

    still makes you believe

  • You know, it's funny. This excellent, excellent ad was in the run up to the 1999 Rugby World Cup - expectations were high. And Neil Finn contributed a great, inspirational song: "Can You Hear Us?" The jet the All-Blacks flew even had the front row emblazoned on the side of it.

And then came 31 October 1999, when the French unexpectedly performed a stunning come-from-behind victory against New Zealand. The nation must have been crushed...

  • Every world cup year is a crushing blow for NZ'ers in one form or another... we haven't won a cup since 87!

  • Dude. This ad is old. It's from like 2000. So of course those 3 aren't in it.

  • may have been made b4 their time ay mate...

  • it stops at 1999 so mc caw and umaga no

  • i thought richie mccaw is captain?

  • la cancion es bless em all.. pero quien la interprete?

  • bueno weon !!!!!!

  • Tears in my eyes bro, tears in my eyes.

    Fucking PRIDE.

  • I'm like this too and I don't even *like* rugby.

  • @hakametal Talk tidy. Mana.

  • Where was Andy Dalton????

  • ye wtf?

  • Great singing by Kiwi legendary songstress Fiona Macdonald. Ex Headless Chikens/Strawpeople and yes she's doing ads on TV now.

  • what's the song's name??? :)

  • It's called 'Bless 'em all' composed by Fred Godfrey around the time of the Great War but made popular during World War II.

  • @kiwimatey lyrics please!!

  • the best fuckin team ever!

  • Awesme ad!!!

  • this is de best ad i've seen in my life

  • chur bro taine you the man luv ya bro

  • questo video tra 1 pò mi fa piangere..ma la lacrimuccia c'era..

  • I wish this ad never ended!!!!! BLACK IS THICKER THAN BLOOD!!!!! GO NZ TO THE END!!!!

  • what so u could just masty all day about dan carter!

    hahah nah jst joking

  • @alistairhaste In fact never ends, what happens is that we have just seen all

  • @alistairhaste I agree. It would be awesome if they did an update of this.

  • Wish this was updated. Taine Randell is long gone. After him is Umanga then the current cap'n Richie McCaw.

  • I don't think it will be. This is an ad from when Adidas started sponsorship of the All Blacks, and I think the point was it's going from the old to the new. Old, unsponsered, to new, being sponsored by Adidas.

  • alcuni tra i più grandi giocatori di rugby della storia Neo zelandese

  • Weird having (SPOILER) Taine at the end of that roll call. Also strange to have no David Kirk (considering it was for RWC campaign).

  • David Kirk - I too was looking for him? - afterall he was RWC captain and got us what we needed in 07'

  • One of the best spots I've ever seen. I saw it for the first time while the RWC 1999.

Anybody knows how this theme is called???

  • It's from a song called Bless 'em All. Usually the song is associated with World War Two, although it actually pre-dated that war - probably back to the days the British were in India in the 19th century.

  • Bless em All, Bless em All, the long and the short and the tall

Bless all the sergeants and W. O. ones,

Bless all the corp'rals and their blinkin sons,

'Cos we're saying goodbye to them all, as back to their billets they crawl

You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean, so cheer up my lads, Bless 'em All

  • Thank you very much for your answer!

  • i don't know when this ad was created

  • power to the all blacks. this is our year.

  • Poor old Taine ....

  • why what happened him?

  • he copped a bit of flaxing 'unfair treatment' after his time as captain...from a few locals....car windows smashed...but worst than that....

  • what u mean morgafelLA? very fucking cryptic answer!

  • Yes - some would say cryptic answer. All I can say - is I was in Dunedin (Uni - well burning couches in the interm hehe) bout the time it happened. Made local news - he was a pivotal player and no doubt still is!? - I had a hardtime trying to sus him out on the paddock now and then.

  • Im sorry but that is a fantastic ad...so simple...very moving

  • old.
