Here is a constructive argument: After 10years of the show, if people are still bitter rather than accept that they had be outsmarted, then I think its hypocritical. Galu wanted to take out entire Foa Foa, but Russell outsmarted them and turned it around.. they shud have seen it that way.
A lot of people say that Russell Hantz is one of the best players to ever play survivor. If he was one of the best players in this game he would have already won at least once. What Russell lacks is the social aspect of this game. There are good reasons why Russell did not win, he was way too aggressive and he pissed too many people off.

He should have won Samoa, but not Heroes vs Villains and this clip proves it. In heroes vs villains, everyone knew Russell was controlling things and he had really no social game at all. He easily got to the end but it wasn't possible for him to win

You have the power to keep them from being sore losers or jealous losers (both descriptions apply to Russell, BTW), just by treating them well on the way up. During the first few seasons, juries were willing to forgive dirty tricks; not anymore. Oh, and did I mention, the jury decides whom the best player is.
With all due respect, I don't think this guy is the best player ever. He was an EXTREMELY good strategist, but he was arrogant and rude to the people that weren't in his alliance, and that led to his downfall both times. And on top of that, after both losses, he whined and complained and said terrible things to the winners afterwards. Especially Natalie. The term i think we all need to concentrate on is Complete Game. Russell's focus is aimed at the highest position he can place himself with his own two hands. He doesn't rely on luck. It's the most impressive play I've ever seen, but that's not a Complete Game. He is the master at corralling votes that place him in the final, but he doesn't work enough to garner the castaways respect.

@charronfamilyconnect Your version of Survivor won't be fun. It would be boring because people don't have to worry about the end game, the jury. When there are no consequences awaiting you, you can easily do what you want, lie, cheat, deceive, intimidate, etc like Johnny Fairplay. When there's a jury and human emotions involved, that complication, that extra dimension of game play to worry about, makes the game fun, at least more interesting than mundane emotionless predictable Vulcans.

The jury didn't vote for Parvati out of jealousy, they didn't vote for Russell out of Malice (they hated him), and they voted for Sandra out of ignorance. Bottom line the jury members were weak emotional players who voted for the person that didn't hurt their little egos the most. Who besides Russell could do back to back survivor seasons? Rupert at least had a few months rest in between. Isnt that proof Russell is the best survivor?

When you're talking about hiding behind and back stab afterward, that's part of the strategy mentioned above. Russel is not the best player ever, at all. Here's some good players: Richard Rob C Sandra Boston Rob Chris (Vanuatu) Tom Earl Todd Parvati Natalie. All these players did something to go to the end and almost all of them won. you know why?. Because they got the jury votes, which Russel wasn't able to,but sandra did it. As a member of the Russel Hantz fan nation, I think it's safe to say that his recent elimination in Season 22 was heartbreaking. When he started crying, you could feel his pain. He just wanted to play the game. And he says it will be his LAST TIME PLAYING SURVIVOR. Well, looks like no season the show will ever have from now on will ever be as good as Seasons 19, 20, and 22... :'(

The first time I just watched 2 or 3 episodes, and I thought Foa Foa members (especially Russell) deserved win, but I was mistaken. Galu tribe won all challenges and of course, one of them had to win, but, for a weird reason, Russel Hantz found 3 hidden idols without any clue. I´m wondering if CBS helped him. That would be a conspiracy.

They for the most part are whiny, envious, little people. When Nathalie won all it did was prove this. In all stars Russell was a god. @rockfordtoronto There is a simple solution to this problem: changing your attitude toward the jury. You have the power to keep them from being sore losers or jealous losers (both descriptions apply to Russell, BTW), just by treating them well on the way up. During the first few seasons, juries were willing to forgive dirty tricks; not anymore. Oh, and did I mention, the jury decides whom the best player is.

With all due respect, I don't think this guy is the best player ever. He was an EXTREMELY good strategist, but he was arrogant and rude to the people that weren't in his alliance, and that led to his downfall both times. And on top of that, after both losses, he whined and complained and said terrible things to the winners afterwards. Especially Natalie. I don't think Natalie deserved to win, but Russell didn't either. He needed to be taken down a peg.

The term i think we all need to concentrate on is Complete Game. Russell's focus is aimed at the highest position he can place himself with his own two hands. He doesn't rely on luck. It's the most impressive play I've ever seen, but that's not a Complete Game. He is the master at corralling votes that place him in the final, but he doesn't work enough to garner the castaways respect.
Russell, I'm 100% behind you. Third time's the charm, so you better get back on the show.

Reason I say that is Vulcans would vote based on the best player using pure logic. unfortunately, humans are purely emotional creatures and are weak for the most part. When there are no consequences awaiting you, you can easily do what you want, lie, cheat, deceive, intimidate, etc like Johnny Fairplay. When there's a jury and human emotions involved, that complication, that extra dimension of game play to worry about, makes the game fun, at least more interesting than mundane emotionless predictable Vulcans.

The jury didn't vote for Parvati out of jealousy, they didn't vote for Russell out of Malice (they hated him), and they voted for Sandra out of ignorance. Bottom line the jury members were weak emotional players who voted for the person that didn't hurt their little egos the most. Who besides Russell could do back to back survivor seasons? Rupert at least had a few months rest in between. Isnt that proof Russell is the best survivor?

OUTLAST???). Sandra did none of those 3 requirements either time that she won. Outlast? Sure! But who that doesn't win doesn't outlast the others by default. That is why they are there. It is the method in which they arrived there that is the real question.

Almost every season (as of late) I am disappointed with the end result and proclaim that I will not watch again. Thankfully I watched the last 2. I think I will not watch another season however, because it is like watching all of the starters on a football team win a super bowl, but the waterboy&practice squad getting all of the accolades.

@00Rooster4Life00 I understand where you're coming from, but this game Survivor has more to do with deceit, mental strategy, social strategy, and things of that nature. When you're talking about hiding behind and back stab afterward, that's part of the strategy mentioned above. You may not respect that game play and you would probably respect something more concrete and physical like physically surviving the wilderness or physically winning a challenge, but that's not the main focus.
