@ashokrayvenn I recently saw a Vid of a cat 70 feet up an Oak tree. Firefighters were finally called in and brought up a ladder. Rather than be touched by the Firefighter, the cat was CLEARLY shown to jump off the tree limb, (70 feet from the ground).

It hit the ground, and within a split second, it was off and running at top speed. I would not worry about a cat on a 15' cactus. When it 's thirsty it will jump uninjured.

My own cat often jumped SIX feet on his own "steam" and he enjoyed it.

@WinterHaven Have you ever owned a cat that was an outdoor cat? It isn't uncommon for cats to climb things you know, trees, light poles, and yes the occasional cactus. I had a cat once that would climb the side of my house 3 stories all the way to the roof. You can rescue them and get the piss scratch out of you or just set some food at the bottom and wait. Hunger will always lures them down eventually. No animal cruelty involved. Just animals doing what they do.

No person tossed that cat on top of the cactus. There are other instances of regular house cats getting stuck on cactus in the past, just normally it doesn't make national news. There is even guides for cat owners instructing how to remove cactus needles.
