as I said before, I only play by ear and the live videos help me a lot. just take a look at many performances and in each one you'll find something useful. I don't have music sheets because I don't know where to find them here where I live.

I don't like to choose so...I use Sabian, Paiste, Ufip and Zildjian ;) From left to right are: Hi-hat Zildjian, 16' Sabian Crash, 14' Ufip Crash, 16' Paiste Thin Crash, 20' Ziljian Ride.

You actually can but you should do...let's say...10 lessons at least. To learn the basics...how to read the music...the different times...and so on. then you can try alone.

look at ur left foot when ur playing... completely lifeless

you should get it going as much as posible when u not usin the hi hats!

when u learn to do it, its very good at helpin keep time

hey there is dis rly good book for beginners called How To Teach Yourself To Play Drums [ i think ] but it comes with some songs a DVD its pretty cool. and heck yes u can learn w/out a teacher. just if u dont get an instructor be sure to go slow. most kids go to fast {trying to learn to fast i mean] and then never learn the basics!!!!
