  • lovely I have subbed wow

  • You, sir, are an artist. :)

  • beautifully done, thank you.

  • Ganandaalf!!!!

  • I like

  • Like a BOSS

  • thumbs up if u want to learn how to play this now

  • how much is tht top thing on the keyboard?

  • brilliant

  • This may be the greatest compliment i've ever said. You must be Howard Shore. You must be him. Tolkien and Peter Jackson would be incredibly proud of you. Play in the Hobbit. And keep working with your heart.

  • You're amazing!

  • nice job...

  • 13 orcs cried when Balrog died.

  • awesome

  • Could u tell us what u use for the bottom midi controller? By the way, thanks for demonstrating that we can do more with our ten fingers than just play melody and a chord or two.

  • @outertoon Hey, thanks :) The bottom keyboard is in fact a synth. A Korg Triton LE. So I have the benefit of using the onboard Korg sounds at the same time as I send midi signals to the computer.

  • @mormalv Oh, snap I'n this vid I had stacked them reversed tha what I normally do...hehe. The bottom keys is a Korg K61 midi controller.

  • that is awesome keep it up.

  • I want to die in a way that this is fitting.

  • What are the chords for this?

  • @KingOropher Am-F-C-G

  • @mormalv

    thanks

  • @mormalv

i guess the original chords from the movie are

    Fm - C# - G# - D#

  • beautiful!

  • the evil demon that made ganondorf fall made 13 EVIL accounts just to dislike this!

  • @SideHugzzRock

That evil demon was a Balrog, and it made Gandalf fall. Ganondorf is from Legend of Zelda, lol.

  • @sorrow723 lol f@{#%!,i play alotta zelda,so ganondorf and gandalf r rlly similar :p

  • What are the chords

  • Beautiful, my favourite theme from the movie!

  • If you read the books you will get a lot more attached to boromir. Thats why I felt the fellowship of the ring was a bit empty, it left out so much emotion.

  • @PickleShaman if you watch the full versions of the movies theres alot more of Boromir and alot more to the story. much closer to the books but still no Tom Bombadil

  • tutorial please !!

  • Do you know where we can get sheet music to this. My 11 year old son would like to learn it on the piano. It's beautifully soul stirring!

  • im not asking for sheet music or anything, but could i know the just the first four chords?

  • i consider myself the non' emotional type, but when this comes on when Gandalf dies, .....

  • Here's something strange. I just watched The Fellowship Of The Ring again and when this scene came on, I realized that the song 'Adagio in D Minor' by John Murphy is quite similar to this piece of music. Search it up for yourselves, the similarity is quite striking.

  • I cried my eyes out when Gandalf fell...

  • i was only 4 or 5 when the first lotr came out and during the part where gandalf fell i understood what was going on and cried along with the rest of the fellowship during the scene when they get out of moria

  • i play piano by ear and im just now learning that but this is so beautiful

  • Amazing

  • wow I've heard the song once and get goose bumps

  • all of your videos are very very good

    thanks for the nice listening

  • Gandalf is the shits!

    He had to die :L

I cryed so bad when this song came on and when Gandalf Died

  • @21supsup I didn't cry for Gandalf! I knew he will come back from the laudry with a beautful dress whiter than white, and all clean, and then kick Saruman's ass. I just felt sorry for the Balrog. Yeah, I know, he schouldn't have to be Morgoth's maiar, but hey...maybe he has a crappy childhood.

  • @elfmann243 i agree with you on that one. Always at that one part it always gets me

  • im a fan of lord of the rings and this literally just made me cry. thank you for this:,)

  • *Feels his eyes tearing up every time he hears this. Remembers crying heavily when he saw Merry and Pippin curled up on the ground sobbing after Gandalf had fallen.*

  • 11 Twilight fan's disliked this!

  • I think this is the music which ispires that of windows xp installation !! :)

  • Man this song.....(sigh)

  • maybe some tutorials? u are the best....

  • stunning

  • You sent me the mp3 of this song about a year ago. It's still one of my most often played songs on my iPod. Thanks again!

  • Soo.....Sweet Gandalf's my favorite out of the team i almost cried when he fell but me and my brother were having a competetion to see who cried first after i won i started crying secretly =-) I thought Gandalf was being a jerk when he yelled at Pippin for accidently dumping the bucket into the water works the first time i saw it.... But then i understood why he yelled at Pippin for such a thing....

  • @Oryonb get a grip

  • it's in D minor in the film

  • original song is called "adagio in d minor" but the one in the movie is voiced over with enya, hows voice is so majestic.

  • Can you please upload a tutorial video? or at least a video where we can see the notes you are playing? Id love to be able to play this!

  • simple chord progression....but i'm lost at what chords, can you post em for me please :D would love you for life if you did

  • You play very beautiful.

  • wonderful just wonderful

  • the voice and all that is so beautiful!! what kind of music is this?

  • Best films ever, in my opinion. :)

  • "GAAANNNDALF" "GAAANNNDALF" love it all

  • Someone should mix this with surface of the sun from the film sunshine.

  • i want this played when i die

  • @batmanbeyond23 Let me help you with that...

  • u should make a tutorial. this is sooo beautiful

  • D major? or D minor i forgot...

  • Sounds amazing... what synth is that? Or is it software?

  • Simply beautiful. There are no other words to describe it.

  • pls , what's the name of this song?

  • This scene and song made me really feel 'the darkness' in the story. The movie is way too cheery if you compare it to the book. Nobody from the fellowship dies after the first movie... feels quite weird to me if you tell me the whole world is in danger XD

  • Hi Mormarlv. can you please play "May It Be' by Enya-- that's also a soundtrack from lord of the rings

  • I love lotr so i guess im a fuckin nerd after all! :D

  • @airpro689 man u dont have to b a nerd to like lotr esspecially the books i know soilders who have fort in war and love it , its such a deeep story about life and death and freindship good and evil, nothing nerdy about that man,

  • Not bad at all....But as sad as it shoud be :)

  • what's the name of this song?

  • I cried too when Gandalf falls :( So sad for the Fellowship.

  • When Gandalf dies, my eyes well up everytime!! :'(

  • is that d minor?

  • A minor, but in the film it's in another key I can't remember right now...

  • @malcomer1 its f minor in the movie

  • amazing!!!!!

  • i cried too , and i cried even when boromir was killed :_: my both Hero´s the movie dead..i dont want watch the next part until one of my Friends explained to me that gandalf will come back ( i dont know the books )

  • You should see the other two movies too :)

  • i watched them .-> after the explanation

    :->

  • @mormalv Ya he should :D

    Especially the added versions :D

  • @wedhorror

Gandalf will come back and help to defense Minas Tirith :)

  • @wedhorror you should read the books too, they are awesome

  • i love this piece, it was originally written by John Murphy for the movie Sunshine which may i add is an amazing movie. its called Surface of the sun. when it was used in fellowship of the ring they added to it to make it more fitting to the scene. beautifull. nicely played too.

  • Sunshine came out like 4 years after Fellowship.

  • So beautiful... ♥

  • echt geil gespielt kann ich nur sagen hammer 5 sterne...würde auch 10 geben wenn es die gibt

  • Awesome, man. Great job.

  • cant stop lissening to youre songs

    u are an epic musician

  • dude you're awesome

  • that was v. beautiful

  • Yeah it got me as well, LOTR is one of the very few movies that make me emotional like that

  • muy bueno, realmente bueno.

  • YOU RUUUUUUULE

  • Im sure music from heaven sounds like this....

  • I love this piece, so haunting. Even just listening to the melody brings tears to my eyes.

  • It's part of "The Bridge of Khazâd-Dam

  • Please could somebody tell me the name of the theme on this scene?? It's so vibrant

  • It's part of "The Bridge of Khazâd-Dûm", in the LOTR: Fellowship Soundtrack.

It is the last part of this long track.

  • The melody/theme itself is called "Gandalf's Farewells".

  • Awesome. Very emotional scene in the film. You captured it well. Good job.

  • If the scene didnt make anyone teary-eyed , then this peice of music did !! Luv this piece !!

  • I completely agree !

  • Just gorgeous, thank you.

It's one of the most powerful scenes of the movie thanks to the music. And I love Frodo's cry as Gandalf falls, just chills my bones.

  • so good.

    props!

  • im applauding right now very good job

  • ''fly you fools'' gaannndaallfff

  • LMFAO!!!

  • ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!

  • VERY beautiful. I cried too when Gandalf "died" :(

The strings tone really adds to the emotion

  • beautiful, ive been trying to learn how to play that song and with little success

    your very talented

  • Well played....A true decent into tranquility...Thank you for posting this.

  • what is the name of the keyboard you're playing at? The strings sound is amazing! Love your playing, this is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time :)

  • It's a Korg Triton LE. Thanks!

  • thanks for the quick reply! Do you use some kind of software or hardware to get such a nice string sound? Or is it the sound from the keyboard itself?

  • No, it's only the sounds that are onboard the synth. It's a combi of different sounds layered over eachother to get a richer sound. The Korg Triton range has some pretty good orchestral sounds.

  • what song name is this in Soundtrack files?

  • "The Bridge of Khazad Dum" at the very end of the track

  • absolutely beautiful

  • Beautifully done. :) You did a wonderful job. Made me cry. Such a moving piece.

  • Amazing job. Didn't really think that you could would pull this off, since that song is one of the best I've ever heard in a film, but you absolutely did. Again, good job!

  • very good

  • its very sad when both gandalf and boromir pass
