  • i got this exhaust about 2 months ago for buyers its great when u get wear it gives a great bark i have no cats with mine 4.6 v8 f 150 1999 and gives great power increase!

  • nice truck man looks like mine

  • i have a 5.3L V8 vortec and my truck halls way more ass then that lil junk!!! haha

  • You can now go to our all new website for more details and exciting new products!

  • There are o2 sensors after the cats on my 06 gmc 4.8 and i was wondering if and what you mite tell me, if thats a problem, when the cats are scrapped, does the computer need retuned???? any help will be much appreciated!!!!!!,

  • That thing is gutless it just sounds loud

  • That's great but it ain't no flomaster40 but I love it dude nice truck

  • what kinda flo pro muffler do you have? my buddy had some one his 89 stepside 5.7 and they sounded by-far, best muffler ive ever heard, but we didnt know what kinda muffler they were when we checked the flopro site

  • are those glasspacks or case mufflers?

  • GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! must be from alberta

  • i have a 04 chevy silverado with a k&n cold air intak and dual exhaust too. i was thinking about getting the edelbrock shorty headers do they make a big difference in sound? or power?

  • dude its fucking cold... let me in the damn truck already lol

  • so i was lookin at headers for my 99 5.3, would you recommend the shortys or should i go with long tubes?

  • depends on the rest of you plans for exhaust. i went with the shorties because i already had the rest of the exhaust done and they bolted right in. if you dont have custom exhaust done yet and you want free flowing exhaust with no cats go with long tubes. if you want something that bolts right in go with shorties. also depends on your budget. long tubes will be allot more. and dont cheap out on headers, go with a good name brand, it will make your swap allot easier.

  • ok. how do you eliminate the cats with the long tubes? do the sensors just go into the headers or what?

  • youd have to ask someone at an exhaust shop thats done long tubes on those trucks. i havnt done any.

  • @SpeedRacer942 the cats are in the mid-pipe...so, when u get longtubes you have to buy a mid-pipe made to fit the LT's..i had 2 cats taken out, and had a custom x-pipe made...you will see a night and days difference in longtubes, and a little in shortys, but enough to tell...but i just switched from LT's to shortys because of technical problems, and the shortys are louder....but dont give but about half as mach power as the LT'S....and i just looked at the date and feel like a retard, haha......

  • Long Tubes give 20 hp, Shotry's only 7 hp.

  • i put long tubes on mine i have an 99 5.3 and pacesetter lt are only 300 bucks then you nac get there offf road y pipe for 180 and still use your cat back they are a good header they are 1 3/4 to 3 they come with crap paper gaskets get some coppers and your good as gold

  • @SpeedRacer942 I know for my 4.8l shorties did absolutely nothing, once i put some LT's on its woke it up.

  • Sweet Dude... sometimes advice from a total stranger helps. I think I know where my next 800 or so bucks is going to go.

    Thanks again!

  • if your goin with headers you definately gonna be lookin at payin more than that depending on what the labour rate is for custom exhaust...

  • other than that, it's a pretty solid system then?

I'm looking for something pretty gruff... something that gives a lifted truck an aggressive sound with a little power gain

  • its a really solid system... the edelbrock shorties bolted right in in a couple hours... just be careful when your taking the old manifolds off, the bolts have a tendancy to break. the rest of the system sounds great with the flo pro mufflers on it, i would run anything else except maybe the flo pro v-force mufflers... power wise it was a huge difference once i cut the cats off. and the best part about the flo pro mufflers vs slowmasters is they dont drone on they highway, its a nice beefy tone

  • that's a pretty beefy sounding exhaust man. Question for ya. I'm considering getting a Flo Pro set up and also pondering throwing on some headders. In all honesty do you find it's worth it. Or do they just open the flood gates to a bunch of sensor problems and engine querks. I basically have the same truck only an 02, and jacked 9 inches. What imput can you give me?

  • its only worth it if you arent running any cats... if you have cats on you wont notice any difference. just get a custom tune to get arround the 02 sensor codes

  • r the flo pro louder than a flowmaster on the 5.3

how much do the mufflers cost

  • one of ur exhaust pipes arent doing very much

  • I used to build Flo-Pro mufflers when they were being made in Canada. Those mufflers are solid. Now they are being made in china,I hope the cheap labor is worth it.

  • they are still being made in Canada, in Red Deer Alberta. and yes, they are great mufflers, i wouldnt buy anything else.

  • Ahh...like the countryside. Reminds me of home back in North Dakota!

I have a video as well with the 5.3 with stock muffler setup. It's 10 min long but, the revving sound is near the end of the video.

  • technically, changing anything on your vehicle that effects how the engine runs, ie air/fuel mixture is illegal, so a cold air intake and muffler could be considered illegal. this being said it all depends on how these laws are enforced in your area, in alberta they are not as strict about taking cats off vehicles.
