  • Don't let it eat THAT!

  • wont he get sick from the sugar?? can budgies eat this too o.o mayb not cuz their weaker???

  • @TravellerFellow Impetuous? Somewhat, lol. Evil towards men (what's the word for that?) TOTALLY! lol. Seriously though, he's a great birdie and we love him to death. He's doing great and his diet has improved tremendously since we first brought him home!!! He even eats some veggies now days! He has also stopped plucking himself and that's incredibly exciting!

  • wow the crown is amazing!

  • Funkeh Crown :3

  • He is beautiful! 5 of my 6 parrots are rescued! Hugs to your new boy!

  • i just love your bird

  • Not good for them to eat that stuff. as a rare treat it is ok..

Especially since he new to the family.

That is awesome of you to adopt a bird with plucking issues they need a good homes.

Remember with birds that already have problems plucking a stable schedule and healthy diet is very important.

  • he sounds very cute n wow!! that much !!

  • awe !! wat do they eat for real ?

how much do they cost ????

  • Sugar NEEDS to eat fruits, veggies, pasta, healthy breads, rice, pellets... ANYTHING except the junk food!!! We're having problems with his diet since he's clearly been fed junk food most of his 15 years of life. He's a rescue and we're still trying to get him to eat properly.

Here in California Cockatoo's go for about $1200 from the pet stores. Proper "start up" for one of these birds is over $2500. Lifetime commitment (vet, toys, food etc.) can be 10s of thousands.

  • Your new Cockatoo is adorable, but be careful with sweets as birds can become diabetic very easily. My cockatoo is very fond of his fruits, especially bananas. He also seems to be a plucker so he needs LOTS of attention to get him to stop. Good luck and remember he is like a child and never shut him up in a corner or neglect him when he is screaming or wanting attention as that is how bad habits start.
