  • uhh, anyone caught the temp gauge increasing LOL!!!!

  • @ElsHouse It's the oil temp gauge, it is perfectly normal to rise after such hard acceleration...

  • a stock fiat coupe 20vt is the same

  • the last true bmw.....

  • ANYONE NOTICE THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE !!!!!???

  • @fransizcocuk the gauge is really nice :) my lada's gauge much worse :D

  • @fransizcocuk

Controlled thermostat. Isn't meant to maintain a constant temp. Under certain conditions the temp is increased. Ask BMW.

  • My vette c6 ls3 464Hp owned every M BMW which I ve ever met.

  • Why can't the M just be a bad@ss version of the standard models? Oh wait, that is what the M intended to be.

  • F10 > E46

  • e24

  • Man I don't give a fuck how fast this car is! Bmw's get the worst qualtiy ratings on the road!

  • @posvibration21 compared to what? and by what criteria>\?

  • I'd say last true M3 was E92, last true M5 E60. Yes the F10 must be awesome car too, but they are turbocharged. Naturally aspirated high-revving engines has always been the idea if M-cars. Nowdays they've gone...

  • @vaporazor -_- last true m car was the e46........ not the e92... because of the big v8 m3 were ment to have the straight sixs but the m division and bmw dont know what they want thats how the e92 was born... the last m5 was the e39...... the next m5 had the v10 or 12 i forget but the new 2012 m5 is like a v12 i think lol.... i still forget but not a true m..... i know cuz i work for bmw in germany and i own a e30 m3

  • @killaspot read ur facts, the new M5 is a V8 Twin Turbo, how isnt it a true M Car? The E39 had a V8 5,0L the M5 originally came with a Straight 6 as well but had to get more power as Jaguar and Mercedes started bringing out their sport versions with over 400 HP so BMW had to get bigger. How you expect a straight six to compete with a 6.2L V8 from AMG?? BMW have the Technology but when it comes down to it they do it to compete in the market.

  • @CFGERProductions stop lying mate.... my uncles w163 ml 55 amg has 347hp, weighs 2,3 tons and accelerates from0-100 in 6.7s. so you're saying that your fathers diesel faster, although it is weaker, a lot more heavier and (if it is the g-class) much less aerodynamic, can do the sprint in3,9s???? stop lying kiddie........cuz otherwise my 320ci would beat a bugatti veyron......and i'll give you a tip....if you want to lie, study more physics at your class........

  • M5 E39 is faster .

  • @RaoulEmilian e39 best m5 man imo that and the e28 m5 sexy asss cars!

  • I used to own a M3 too and it was really fast!!! I loved my M3 but the only problem was the SMG transmission. The SMG kept breaking down even after replacing the whole transmission!!

GUYS!! If you are going to buy a M3, AVOID ONE WITH A SMG TRANSMISSIOM!!!!

BUY A M3 WITH A STICK SHIFT TRANSMISSION. Smg gave me so much headache... I'm speaking from my experience.

  • @057gnb3316sef6 Plus performance cars with an automanual transmission are kinda gay, especially if you have the option of a proper manual.

  • @Bischlarbo69

I agree with you, but when I bought a M3 for the first time I chose a M3 with the SMG tranny

because I was interested in 2 pedal manual transmisson=(Whatever it's called)

AND IT WAS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

    Next time when I buy a M3, I will 100% choose a manual one.

  • @Bischlarbo69 I agree - I used to own an E46 M3 manual it was the dogs bollox. The g/f is pregnant so I'm driving a (gay) automatic, still BMW though naturally

  • Look at the coolant temps lol.

  • How muchg seconds is that till 100 kp/h? Because my fathers Mercedes is 2,8 tons heavy and has a giant 305 HP dieselmotor, which gets the 100 kp/h in 3,9 seconds

  • @CFGERProductions, that's definitely not true cause max what BMW M3 can do is 4,7 s. Though, her engine is more powerful.

  • @CFGERProductions And I bet your father wasn't even in a hurry, that's just his regular driving, when going to work in the morning. If you were driving, it would probably be even faster!

  • Laaaaannnnngweilig,so ne lahme Krücke.............BMW hald xD

  • m= fastest letter in the world

  • My 116i is faster lol ;)

  • M is the best letter in the alphabet...yee

  • all that bullshit about "the last real m-car"... M is and stays number one dude FUCK YEAH

  • 4.7 sec to 100...fucking nice car. love it

  • shut up you gimp last true 3 was e46

  • @burnsman248 e30

  • @burnsman248 last true m3 was a e46??? thats pretty dumb man the e46 lost its feel, i think the true m3 is the e36 not 46......... i had both

  • @datejebam ya but i get where hes coming form tho. it was the last of the strait 6.

  • @burnsman248 Haha! True.

  • hahahahahah

    LbUSbL-ThfE

  • temperature arrow is faster than the speedmeter :)

  • C'mon guys, how can a ~5sec to 100 and ~18sec to 200 be slow? I believe the 300km/h speedo is giving you the illusion of slowness ;)

  • 219km/h ;)

  • crikey I thought the M3 was supposed to be fast??? :-/

  • Have you had the clutch delay valve removed?

  • I think corvette c5 is faster

  • Huh! Not fast, really.

  • what the hack with your engine temperature?

  • @ernix911 it's the oil temerature, not the water temperature. Many cars don't have a oil temperature gauge, but it's important, because the oil should have 100-110° before you press the pedal to the metal...

  • @warri0r92

Aaa. Now I remembered, my old Audi 80 GTE used to have oil temeprature gauge. Ahhh, I'm idiot. :)

  • temp ??

  • RS>M

  • First and only M3 was a E30 :-))) I agree with E39 M5 like a last true Motorsport car from BMW :-)

  • look at the temperature gauge!

  • the Mercedes Benz c63 - M3 Killer!

  • @MrZadeeh In a straight line yes. Everywhere else no

  • sound=instant cream

  • @TheArfdog yeah,, M3 E36 is BEAST. ///M Power!

  • Watch the oil temperature level ... :)

  • Fuck yes!

    M3 rules

  • Oil temp - funny =))

  • my friend beat that M3 with a sohc 1.5 civic

  • @Thomsonicus my friend beat your mum in the face

  • LOL at engine temp. you should do something about it :D

  • @JohnyAngelo what i can see from is engine temp meter is that it stand in the middle. the one you see under his rev counter is a oil temp. witch at a 100 degrees centigrade is at normal temp.

  • @SRDsports Oh,, my bad. It's oil temp, then it's quite alright.

  • what you say ??? the last true m3 was the e30 m3 google it noob

  • LOL to watchin the temperature gaugr go up that fast.

  • look temperature rising from 90-110 :)

  • @ivanzl89 i think you'll realize tht is the temp. gauge for engine oil, if it didn't rise with this sort of revving, the gauge should be at fault =]

  • @volante8657 ok, my mistake :)

  • Can someone buy me one of these please.

  • which is faster e46 m3 or e39 m5??

  • About the same till 124mph (200km/h) but then the M5 pulls ahead due to more torque, the diff and more power. The E39 has more tuning potential if you don't go with a turbo, but slap on a HPF kit and the M3 would be extremely fast. That said turbo'ing it would take away from the beauty of it, it wouldn't feel the same. The E39 M5 I've seen tuned to ~480whp without FI, the Ascari A10 uses the block from the E39 and makes ~600hp, that said the block is where the similarities end.

  • E46 is to slow for an expensive car.

  • finally some1 that could also afford a camera after buying the bmw ! goodjob man

  • Why are you two arguing over two BMW M powered cars? Shouldn't we be ranting on about some other car maker?

  • FULL

  • Hmmm irgenwie zu langsam für ein M3

  • irgend wie ist der m3 schwach wen ich die anderen vergleiche

  • bin heute in einem M3 E46 mit gefahren. Einfach nur Geil !!!!

  • look how the engine is getting hoter and hoter !!

  • @IS49VAS FYI, It's The Oil Temperature ... FAIL

  • @ChiDyBoy22 hahahah =)) i made such a big mistake :D sorry.

  • Kühlflüssigkeit nachschauen über 100 grad nicht gut!!!

  • @woifmcblack Das ist die Öltemperatur. Und die ist optimal.

  • 220 km/h 23sec impressionnant

  • e46 m3 is awesome..

  • Is this the M3 3.2L or the 4.0 V8? It sounds like a straight six if ur telling me..

  • @AlexZandero the old has (this one) 3.2 straight six,e90,e92 has 4 litre v8

  • @Ouwtlawzzz Ah ok thanks for clearing that up ;)

I really dont think BMW would deliver this modern car with the old E36 3.0 286hp engine ;P

  • Great shifting

  • The E36 //M3 Is Better For Me :)

  • Very nice car this. I remember when it was launched in 2001, I was only a 9 year old boy. I used to be so excited every time I caught a glimpse of those flared arches, 18 inch alloys and 4 exhaust pipes. The old naturally aspirated I6 sounded fantastic imho. However I've never been in one for real. I've got an uncle who had one of these in the past and he said it sounded horrible and rough. He said under acceleration it sounded like a part had fallen off it, because of the artificial exhaust.

  • ahhhh BMW - the ultimate driving Machine!

  • great quality!

  • lol very slow

  • this is really slow.. check out mustang GT :))

  • @existtm

Yeh, until you hit the first corner !

  • @existtm Watch the M3 E92, or the M5 E60, M series whoops every mustang there is bud:)

  • @existtm lol, i know lets compare 5.0L mustang to an E46 M3...and that would make more sense would'nt it?

Considering the e46 m3 is 9 years old it is still an incredibly quick car even for todays stands. My M doesn't miss a heartbeat and it still remians in top condition.

The M3 CSL did a 7:50 lap time around the Nürburgring. I dont see any Mustangs on there do you?

The fully loaded CSL did a 7:22 lap time which beat the Nissan GT-R Spec-V and the Toyota Supra (Blitz tuned) both 500-600bhp!

  • 24 Audi RS4 fans !!!

  • why doenst your shift light work?

  • lol lame

  • good lord that car is high revving..

  • Autonmatic

  • M3 E46 BEST M3!

  • This M3 is better than the E92 M3.

  • or a alpina b3s ;)

  • I love the sound of that engine, I think I prefer it to the V8. Although that's a pretty awesome engine.

  • zero to 100 KM/hr in 5 sec

  • 8k redline thats fuckin fast lol

  • Way overated.... not that fast...

  • @guyd37 yup

  • I never get these M3 vs (insert quick kid car here) debates. If you are only looking at the M3's horsepower and drag times, you're missing out on a lot of what the M3 is about...this little thing called "driver connection". Not to mention the M3 can do 150mph without shaking all over the highway like its having a seizure. M3 = filet mignon...Evo = Arby's

  • @PasseFuture couldnt put it any better

  • all that in less than 1km 044044 :D:D:D

  • The last true M car....

  • @sashaalx03 So is the E39 M5

  • @sashaalx03 no the only true M car was the first^^ the m3 e30 evo ;D

  • @schmagu100 now that mate, is a true car.

  • @schmagu100 The m3 e30 evo was a great car, i have driven only the original e30 M3 and it was great, really loved it, and most of that essence is in the E46 M3, flat 6 engine, really good handling, a bit dangerous though in the e30 but great fun if you know what you are doing, manual gearbox, and nothing except your skill to keep you out of the hedges. And unlike the e90 M3 in which you can choose a million settings for the car, the old one's had just one setting, the right one !

  • @sashaalx03 i feel you ! it's the last one that bmw did!

all the new ones are just not bmw , they dont have that bmw aura.

i see audi is getting the picture that bmw did in the past

  • @sashaalx03 What about BMW M3 GTS?

  • @MDIVISIONRULES Too much technology in it, i don't want a computer to drive MY car. And just look at it, it's way too flashy, an M car should be subtle, only a real car fan should recognize the power which lies under the skin. Look at the CSL, very subtle exterior modifications, you might mistake it for a normal 3 series if you don't pay attention, while the GTS in all internet pictures is bright orange and has a huge spoiler on it, just like all the riced civic's.

  • @sashaalx03 ok,it's not so understated. But everyone who has driven one says that it is equally good to a CSL

  • @MDIVISIONRULES As a driving machine, i am sure it is even better, but as a car i'd take the CSL everyday.

  • @sashaalx03 what, an M3 cant have a v8 that revs just as high?

  • @Animalm0ther It's about tradition, about who you are, the straight 6 engine made BMW famous, it gave it an identity, the V8 just made it another fast car.

  • @sashaalx03 e60 m5 hello?? best car ever. will smoke this shit

  • @sashaalx03 Not last, there's the Z4 M Coupe after it, same engine and very beautiful in my opinion !

  • @sashaalx03 are you joking? the e60 m5 is the best and truest m car ever. smoke this POS

  • @holmansmashbros The e46 is slower but better, speed isn't everything

  • @sashaalx03 how is this better. please explain.

  • @holmansmashbros it's a drivers car, it more simple and more fun to drive, in the end it has a much better feel. Unlike the e60 m5 which has 7 settings for the gearbox and much more useless shit, i want to drive my car, not spend the day setting it up. And another major thing the m5 is a 4 door saloon, it's a very good 4 door saloon, but it's aprox. 300 kg heavier than this. Drive them both and you will see what i mean, and when i say drive i don't mean race them on the highway

  • @sashaalx03 still the m5 is just plain scary fast. it will go over 200 mph delimited. it also is a drivers car. as long as it is in m-mode. and honestly i don't see how this m3 could be more fun. i mean 500hp, f1 trannie. smoking gallardos. thats pretty damn fun if you ask me. i also just prefer 4 door saloons.

  • @sashaalx03 I would say it's the fourth to last, the M5/M6 and E90 M3 were the last three. The last M cars (for now at least, I hope not forever) with manual transmissions, high reving NA engines, lots of power up top, not a lot of torque down low, bespoke engines, and involving to drive.

  • @sashaalx03 e92 m3 is most definitely a true M car

  • @karlmalone11 I think he is referring to the last Naturally Aspirated inline 6 M engine made. Which for many BMW purists is the true soul of BMW mpower stemming from the original M1

  • @FliegenKlappen ahh ok yeah, that makes sense

  • @sashaalx03

E46 are the best m3 ever madee, i enjoy my e92 335is also

  • @sashaalx03 I agree but how about the new 1-series M coupe. Straight six engine so it`s like going back to basics.

  • @obiska92 I think the last true M car will be the last one to use an NA engine.

  • @inurkiewicz Ok, fair point .

  • @sashaalx03 What do you mean?

  • @sashaalx03 No, last true M car was the E39 M5. Last true M3 was the E36.

  • @TheArfdog well not the U.S spec M3, that was garb

  • Jealous

  • @TheArfdog you are so right about E39M and E36 M the E46 M3 is not impressive that just my opinion

  • @TheArfdog the E36 was the most flawed M3,and that's the opinion of most car magazines! The E46 M3 is equal to the legendary E30,as well as the E60 M5 was the best M5 ever according to most car magazines.Having not driven these cars,i suggest you be more hesitant before making a comment

  • @MDIVISIONRULES I've driven the M- E30, E36, E46 and E39.

  • @TheArfdog The E36 was the last true M3? How so? My personal favourite is the E34 M5. What a machine..

  • @TheArfdog what the hell are you talking about? have you driven both?

  • @TheArfdog you never drove e92 m3 or newer didnt ya? you're talking rubbish man.. the new ones are just as hardcore as the old ones.. You just must know how to drive them

  • @TheArfdog why?

  • @TheArfdog how can you say the most powerful naturally aspirated engine of the time was not a real M car? (E46)

  • @soldierx345 Because it weighs 3400 lbs. And it wasn't that powerful. 333 hp. The C5 of the same period had 350 NA hp. And the LS1 (450 lb) was lighter than the S54 (470 lb). How does that work??

  • @TheArfdog maybe it was most powerful 6 cylinder, and why does the weight make it not an M

  • @TheArfdog The corvette is a 5,7l v8 with 350hp = 61,4hp/l

    And now over to the M3, 3,2l 343hp = 107,18hp/l

And the CSL version has a bit over 112hp/l

    Thats A LOT more power...

  • @NarishmaJr 3.2L engine = 470 lb, 343 hp. 5.7L engine = 450 lb, 350 hp. Corvette engine has a higher power/weight ratio. Why does hp/L matter again?

  • @TheArfdog Yeah thats a difference of 20lbs, thats nothing at all.

We can compare pwr/wght ratio if you want, but lets take the entire weight of the car.

    Corvette 3245lb

M3 csl 3050lb, now lets see what that gives us:

    Corvette - 240bhp/tonne

    M3 CSL - 260bhp/tonne

(standard M3 - 216bhp/tonne, thats not too bad either)

  • @NarishmaJr Lol, you're the one that brought up engines and HP/L. But ok since we established that the C5 engine is more efficient, we can now change subjects from engine to car.

    M3 CSL (3.2L) - 260 hp/tonne - 1/4 mile @ 104 mph

    C5 (5.7L) - 240 hp/tonne - 1/4 @ 110 mph

And let's not talk about price...

  • @TheArfdog Im not the one who brought up engines. But anyways.

The reason for a higher 1/4 time is that the 5,7l engine has a lot more torq..

    C5 - 495Nm

    M3 - 365Nm

Want to talk about laptimes? (Nürnberg)

    C5 - 7:56

    M3 CSL 7:50

  • @TheArfdog M3 - 8,5hp/lb

    C5 - 9,3hp/lb

  • @TheArfdog so the 1M, the E92, E46, E60 and the new F10 is not a proper M car? waw you must have driven all of these cars to come up with such a solution...NOT

  • @shobin05 Nope they all feel like bullshit.

  • @TheArfdog

Why, because you haven't driven one since ?

  • @TheArfdog No! Last true M3 is the current E92 and the last true M5 was the E60. M cars abide by three criteria: they have to be lightweight, uncorrupted, and be a manual. That's a quote from Kay Segler, the president; granted he said that before the silly X6/X5m came out. If you look at the direction M cars are going (forced induction i.e corrupted power, permanent DCT, added weight, legions of electronics) you'll hopefully see that the E60 and E92 are TRUELY the last M cars.

  • @ellisfreedman e60 has sequential gearbox not manual

  • @3dule Uhh no, you're wrong. It has the option of either a sequential gearbox or a manual. The sequential is actually additional

  • @3dule U.S got the option of a manual because we are the biggest market for the M5.

  • @ellisfreedman last true m3 was e30. No guidance at all.

  • @TheArfdog Have you driven a new M3? If so, you wouldn't call an E36 the last true M.

  • @sashaalx03 why u say that?

  • shit ^^

  • slow

  • COOL! I want this car too :D
