Quite the opposite...the city of Benton Harbor is doing great things. That's what I'm trying to convey...Listen to the Heartbeat of the Harbor...I said it had some hardships and as a community is overcoming them because of good people and good things happening! I love Benton Harbor and the spirit here!!

The death of the industrial era really hit Benton Harbor hard, look at all the big, empty commercial buildings downtown, which in turn makes for empty houses... but it's changing and neighborhoods are transitioning and people are starting to care again, take pride in who they are and where they live.
