  • Videos, words, and pictures do not do it justice. It really feels like another world.

  • I live in the South East Asia and I vow to take my girlfriend there one day.

  • Yeah, i've been there it's beautiful.

  • You saw more stars on this previous trip than on your current one. :P

  • Awesome place to go. Too bad I've only been there once.

  • deepest lake in the states and it used to be a volcano

  • Nice video. I so want to go there. Nice time lapse.

  • purty blue wata

  • Crater Lake is amazing. When I visited it, the whole place was covered in snow. Wizard Island was such a fantastic sight to behold.

  • Keep Kicking ass and taking names!!

    Love it dude.

  • You really have to do a timelapse compilation/trip summary vid of all these beautiful locations when you're done with your trip!

  • You shouldn't go swimming with a camera man!

  • why shouldn't he? It's a safe enough assumption that he's got it enclosed--people dive with cameras all the time. That's swimming, too.

  • Damn hippy.

    Amazing vid!

  • Come to Niagara in Canada! Pretty please!

  • This was all just plain awesome!

  • THUNDERFOOT, are you going to make a video passing through Yosemite. That would make an amazing video, and amazing few videos...

  • amazing footage thunderfoot, im jealous of your trip and the sights you get to see

  • thunderf00t, you should go and check out "Lago di Bracciano" (or Lake of Bracciano) just outside Rome, Italy. it too is a volcanic lake and it's absolutely marvelous.

  • Give us some dark cloudy/rainy shots, some of us like those. :D

  • Isn't this the same caldera that I see from the plane every time I fly from Vancouver to Los Angeles?

  • Welcome to the Pacific NorthWest, dude. I'm glad you like it. It is very similar to my neck of the woods.

  • Isn't it amazing that this was all made in probably about 5 minutes by Noah's flood?

    JK

    Hope you're having fun

  • I'm glad you'll be staying with us for some time to come. :)

As an academic aside, I usually hear Mazama pronounced thus: muh-ZAH-muh.

  • awesome

  • Hah im luvin it. your vids the best. timelapses are fantastic.

  • great video...keep them coming!

  • Hey, isn't there a "no swimming" sign?

  • What about the old man of the lake??

    Great video, otherwise.

  • Absolutely love the time-lapse

  • It is refreshing to see that there are still a few places in the world we have not managed to mess up yet.

Great stuff Tf00t, the view is majestic.

  • Super Video TFoot!

Did you see the monster that leaves in the lake?

    ***** :)

  • I hope all the good days override the bad days you have on your trip.

  • sounds like he's from New Zealand.

  • haha Thunderf00t all naked :D

Good video, enjoy America. Greetings from England.

  • Great video, and the timelapse looked beautiful. Thanks!

  • "Hey mom I found a plane!"

Anyway, what part of England are you from?

    Probably a londoner

  • This video series is REALLY making me want to go traveling again. thanks for reminding me how cool it is =D

    5*

  • I've been there! Glad to see you had the opportunity to enjoy it :)

  • If i was a rich, I would sponsor you. Unfortunately I'm below the poverty line.

    Keep up the good work

  • I used to camp with my family at Crater Lake when I was a boy...a long, long time ago. I'm glad to see the place has scarcely changed.

  • IT'S A WORK OF GOD! haha jk. I love how u do a scientific analysis at the end of the video. very educational!

  • amazing!

  • Hawt!

  • pass the mr. bubble.

    where is my rubber ducky?

  • It's so damn amazing when you have opportunities to visit such special places on the map.

It's even more amazing when you are traveling up north with a friend whom has spent time in numerous countries, and says, we don't have time to visit. I past that monument 2 years ago this July. At least I got to see glorious Bellevue, Washington! It's sortof like Irvine, California without Mt. Rainier in the distance!

  • whoa that place is a beauty

  • That's my favourite location yet!

Do you find out much about the ecology of the places you visit?

  • That's quite the view there, Thunderf00t.

  • Thundrf00t! I am surprised that you did not visit the overlook (not far from your location where you made your video) and checked out the video they show on the eruption.

The eruption that formed Crater Lake occurred 7,700 years ago (after 20,000 years of dormancy). The eruption was dacite-andesite, which occurred with termendous force (VEI 7), burying much of Central Oregon in pfs. Wizard Island formed about 1,000 years later. The lake was fromed rain and snow accumulation.

  • fantastic. Yet, it's hard to get a good sense of scale of the place.

  • Im really enjoying these vids thudnerf00t !!! This channel was an incredible idea of yours. That time-lapse was your best one yet!!!

  • the satellite image on google maps is fucking awesome

  • I missed a few of your videos because I was away. This was a nice welcome back. All your videos are beautiful.

  • I wish you where my geography teacher back in high school.

  • I'm jealous of your vacation lol.

  • Id rather be bombed than deal with all the fuckin shit on crossing the border.

giant fuckin pain in the ass.

  • I'm glad that you had a better day. Nobody likes to deal with the US Government, and doing so can make a bad day into a worse one, as you have experienced. They have a monopoly on their services, so they can be half-assed about it.

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • i would love to canoe to the centre and admire the panorama!

  • Isn't it amazing how the crap we deal with in the human environment creates angst etc. Isn't it amazing how the beauty and solitude of nature can scrub the crap off and generate a perspective of just how magnificent the physical world is and just how damn small and fleeting we humans are. It is interesting to note that all your problems on the trip are cultural of technological - so let the natural world overshadow those problems and keep them in check. Carpe diem.

  • If only I put 10000000 thumbs up for your post. But youtube only allows for 1 :( What you say is so true. We get engaged in dealing with assholes and pricks, technology business etc and we get troubled. But once you go back and spend time with mother nature, those troubles seem to go away. If only those abrahamic faggot pricks would understand that if they really SO BADLY want to embrace a higher power, WHY NOT MOTHER NATURE rather than some power-hungry authoritarian dick like god??!?!?

  • very nice, TF. really enjoying these vids.

  • Fantastic view.

  • That looked great.

  • Beautiful scenery, but swimming in 5 degree water? You sir, are a madman!

  • Yay a new video :)

  • GODLY

  • ungodly
