  • I have to give you many thanks.

I never played piano. I got one from a friend and I didin't know how to play.

I found this video from google and I tried to play the song. I learned how to play the right hand part in 15 mins... You do great tutorials. ;)

  • any body who thinks this is "bad" can suck it and go try and make a tutorial better

  • this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! r u kidding? these notes dont go together, and u dont explain anything right!

  • excellent tutorial. Thanks man

  • Midnight Train Rules.

  • Kudos, one of the *very* few tutorials here in YT that have the left hand progression as the Journey original has :-)

  • Epic, i love the piano part

  • the right hand doesn't synchronise with the left in your tutorial when you play the syncopated bassline. it jumps in too early. the pace of the right-hand is all the same throughout, only the timing of the bass line changes.

  • The beginning of the video says, "Midnight Train by Journey".

Is that another name of the song?

  • I know another person! just youtube:

HOW TO PLAY DON'T STOP BELIEVING ON PIANO (EASY)

  • finaly someone who knows the song!!!!!!! :)

  • I soooooooooo wanna learn to play this song. Btw, your really good, no matter what the other peeps say... i think it sounded great! =)

  • wrong, wrong and more wrong. u really messed up the tempo

  • @Ruberick28 He said the tempo wasn't correct... he said not to worry about the tempo for now... go be a troll somewhere else bitch...

  • PERFECT tutorial...and the others never had every indivual part correct!!!

  • I think you did fantastic just getting this far.... the tempo will come with time and nobody rlly cares

  • i can play this song so beastly

  • People are rude. Who cares about the tempo?

  • e fatta molto superficialmente !

  • nice watch lol

  • i can't play the octaves my hands are to small :(

  • @LoveFilmsAndMusic lol i swear i was about to say the same thing.

  • @Archmasterdoomsday yay! small handed high five!

  • yeah my right hand can't really get to all the keys

  • the bass line rythem is off

  • i cant reach the keys D:

  • Who cares whether or not it's the right tempo, you've learnt the song now haven't you? Great job on the tutorial :)

  • It doesn't matter if the tempo is wrong. You can fix the tempo at anytime. The main priority is the notes.

  • Shut up man! What he is doin' is great. Its perfect just leave him alone!

  • way too faassttt

  • Is there any chance you could do, Oasis - Don't look back in anger?

  • Why are you playing another version of the left hand at the begining and teaching a different way!!! i want to know the original version!!! do you know where i can find it?

  • The tempo is completely wrong. Just saying.

  • I know... its the process of learning... I say "don't mind the timing for now" just saying...

  • @Dimitris81 I'm sorry, but I didn't watch the whole vid. The intro when you play the "what it will sound like" is in wrong tempo, but at 1:14 (when you say "don't mind the timing for now"), it's actually right... Then, at 2:20, you teach us the wrong tempo again... Just sayin'.

  • @sif902 Yeah your completely, he plays the left a bit early. It just sounds weird. 1:14 is how it should go

  • @Dimitris81 well i think timing is good to learn with learning the part... because if you know the timing with the song you know in your mind perfectly i find it easier to memorize... and i got this song in 10 minutes with good timing so whatev... tho your awkward timing would sound cool if it didnt randomly change all the time and the two hands were together in timing

  • @Dimitris81 you also put the title as midnight train in the begging just saying...

  • @sif902 URMMMMMMM, HE DID SAY 'DON'T MIND THE TEMPO', SO I THINK YOU DIDN'T READ WHAT HE SAID IN HIS TUTORIAL!!!!!

  • @kingyas22 But he said it at the part where the tempo is correct. Weird, right?

  • @sif902 LOL, REALLY WEIRD, DIDN'T NOTICE DAT LOL

  • @sif902 LOL, REALLY WEIRD, DID'NT NOTICE THAT, LOL

  • @sif902 wtf ??

  • can you do a tutorial for "tread water" by sara bareilles? pleease? and then let me know when you do one? (: that'd be great!

  • midnight train? what?

  • Would You Please Post a Tutorial of The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys Thanx

  • Woah, good luck :D

  • thanks you!

  • you have horrible timing...

  • @742512345689 I agree..

  • blaaahhh

  • hey. go look at the back of the album. im pretty sure the BAND THAT WROTE IT isnt going to get the title of the song wrong. sorry but i believe Journey over a youtube user that gets their information from wikipedia. the albums called "Escape". go buy it and check it out

  • dude!! who cares????

  • its journey... lets just leave it at that

  • Dude, it is Dont stop believing.

  • Theres many titles k? midnight train is another way of saying it

  • thats cool?

  • u really good, and a really good teacher. please do more.

  • does this whole melody go on for the whole song? just wonderingg

  • nope

  • grrr... my right hand is to small to do the right handed part... my fingers cant spread out that far...

  • Awesome video... i just learned that and found out there was a video tutorial...dang

  • Hey!

u sometimes place the last note of each sequens in your left hand (E Fis Gis B: last note is a B) ón the new bar, but u have 2 play it on the eight note before that new bar.

When u do that correctly, u unfortunately skip the lowest note of your right hand. So, the right hand's 2 highest notes must be placed ón the new bar, just after u've played the last left hand note of each sequens that comes before the new bar.

Check Shawn Cheek @ utube 2 see the above mentioned in practice.

  • Thank you Dimitris ! I love this song.

  • I think it's great that your helping people learn how to do this on keyboards! The notes on top it? FANTASTIC! Don't worry about critics on here either. I for one, appreciate it. How about The Entertainer? I've been trying to learn that since I was a kid! Let me know when you have that, more Journey, or evensome Garth Brooks Kickin'& Screamin'!

  • how the hell do you push a note with practically ur whole handd? then u cant see which note ur pushing which is no help at all k thx

  • they tell you the notes

  • obviously but i dont learn by reading a list of notes. i need to see how its being done.

  • gee, its not his fault this video doesnt exactly work for u.

  • didnt say it was hon, im just saying if this is a video to teach how to play it it should be a little clearer.

  • Maybe you should learn to read sheet music.. just out of opinion.

If you learn that, you won't need video's that don't satisfy your ever need. =D

  • WTF thats obviously not what hes doing with the right hand

  • and Randy Jackson on bass!

  • I have got to learn this!!! nice job!!

  • SWEET and i learned the chorus by ear so this should sound sick on the piano

  • i have a small hand so it hurts to play octaves... haha but ill tryy.

    but omg thankss:D

  • awesome!

  • Heh your left had has like a blowback lol great job

  • I have the original music sheet from the band for this....

its much different than those people play on youtube.. which 1 is correct lol

  • I'd definitely go with the sheet music if you have it.

Nice video, though! It sounds good on the keyboard!

  • It's not really an LOL. You don't have the "actual original sheet music," I am sure. I have found lots of mistake in official sheet music. Don't believe everything you read (now there's an lol for you).

  • good touritual. On the intro and the verses, but what about the chourus?

  • Awesome dude, thanks!

  • NIce! :D

  • YEAH YEAH YEAH, you played the bass part CORRECTLY unlike those other tards who play it wrong

  • @austinbailey3 I agree. Where is the chorus???

  • @austinbailey3 IKR!

  • thanks a bunch mate. really helpful. =D

  • Confusion!

  • exelent but why do all tutorials leave out the bridge.. Iwould love to see the entire song.. and you teach well.

  • Are you playing that on the piano or the keyboard?

  • Thank you, you are the only one so far who actually named the notes.

  • Okay. Are their any certain piano requirements? Uhm, I have a keyboard and I can't seem to find the keys that match the sound you have. (My keyboard seems to be smaller) any way I can accommodate that or am I screwed?

  • just play in the same letter notes it doesnt matter which octave. if u mix it up in different octaves it can be fun.

  • keyboreds all sound different than actual pianos unless there like super professinal. my dad has 3 that were like 6 thousend each. theyre pretty pricey.

  • Wow, man, thanks! I'm gonna go do it right now!!

  • wow, good job. you made learning this song really easy for me

  • great job.. tough thing is most people cant sing could enough to pull this or any steve perry song off...

  • this is great, but my hands cant stretch that far.
