the very sentence 'god defend new zealand'. every singer in all versions try to put too much into it. kind of ruins it.

Funny how the Maori's on the team didnt seem to know the Maori version either - cant blame the pakeha's for that...Long live Aotearoa, I mean Onward, New Zealand.

sure, but singing the anthem to 60000 people + is difficult enough without the added pressure of doing so without backing music

awesome effort but some of the words were not pronounced properly (the maori version) but hey it was 1 of the best non maori preforming the maori version of the national anthem good effort.
