  • Billy only killed 4 men, all out of self defence.

  • @nightjj Fair enough....but the movie isn't really about the historical Billy and Pat Garrett...It's about violence and power...

  • Kris christopherson Was miss cast in this and spooky the whole film he has as much

presence as a turf in a swimming pool

You have to look but you don't like it

I think he must have bribed Sam to give

    Him the part.

  • the best scene is when he shoot him with the quarer pences

    legend

  • Who knows which is the name of the song in the 0:45?

  • @javiikiller

It's 'Billy Surrenders', couldn't find it on any of the soundtracks tho.

Oh, wait, you posted the question half a year ago... whatever, maybe somebody else might find the info useful. It's my fav song, you know

  • @valois89 Thanks! I think the only version of this song is live, because I found it in a live session of this OST and only there. Awesome song, awesome film, awesome lyrics: lalalalalalalala... jajaja.

  • @javiikiller

Dude, do you still have the link to that live vid? I've also heard that version (man, it's awesome) but can't find it anymore.

  • @valois89 Ohh man, I still don't have the link and I missed the files :/ I'm gonna search again and if I find something, I tell you.

  • @javiikiller

I'd be much obliged, hell I already am, thanks a lot

  • @valois89. I still have the files! But I was listening and it's the same version than this: watch?v=neBHWwwllLM If you want, I can send you the song to your mail.

  • In the alternate ending Dylan beats both Pat Garret and Billy The KId to death with his guitar and then smokes a joint

  • @KDude44444 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • william bonney was pardoned or supposed to be pardoned as it was proved that he should have been pardened in his life time.......

  • Dylan as alias, what a stroke of creative casting. Plus he gave us "Heavens door"

  • if you dont like this flick then F you ,duke liked it......kids today....alot of ppls should have worn rubbers.......

  • John Wayne liked this movie?

  • nice

  • @anke990 nice as you want

  • peterfirthfan is tasteless cocksucker

  • what the fuck do you know? your profile says you're 15. this is way over your head. i've watched this film since i was 4 and still didn't totally grasp it at 15. "since you haven't learned to respect your elders, it's time you learned to respect your betters."-John Wayne

  • John Wayne hated this crappy movie.

  • It's a shame Kris Kriostoferson didn't get lung cancer.

  • Fuck your fucking mother, you little piece of fucking shit!

  • @FrankClanton fucking liberals

  • @FrankClanton Maybe if you went back in a time machine and complained in the 1970s someone would have given a shit

  • I have this film. It's a great western movie.Peckinpah a GOD!

  • classic movie....awesome score by dylan

  • @1901974 iseen the documentary peckinpah offered dylan the ppaert in return for his songs

  • 'plums'

  • Peckinpah films always have shitty trailers.

  • legends in their own time, but time was running out ...

  • what´s the name of that song at 0:48 ???

In the movie it plays when Garrett went to the whorehouse and taking comfort with two girls.

I´m searching this song for years but never found it. Was this song ever released? I have the official soundtrack and the Outtakes album, but this song is still missing.

  • I found it. It's called "Billy surrenders" and it's on "Peco's blues" (but only instrumental version).

  • Yeah, you´re right... that´s the song :)

But why do they never released the original movie version on any album?

  • This was the movie that Sam lost control of. He went way over budget and MGM took control, re-edited it against his wishes and buried it. It's a great film but you have to see it in the version he intended, which I think is how the DVD versions are now.

  • What's the name of song in 0:48?

  • It's Bob Dylan but i don't know the name

  • Probably my favorite film.

  • Go have a beer in Lincoln,NM and sleep a night at The Worley Hotel. It will bring your life full circle.

  • brilliant film , nearly as good as the wild bunch, coburn is just unmissable in this movie.

music ,dust, whiskey, and gun-fights all perfectly inter-twined, whatmore can u ask for

  • The music Knockin On Heaven the heaven's Door which is inserted in this motion picture the truth will be good and it will hang with the bedspread which is remembered

  • ビリー・ザ・キッドなにげに興味あります。この映画も面白いですよ。

  • My favourite Billy the Kid movie. I don't care how old Kristofferson is. He's fantastic. This Billy is over his best time - like the West itself. The movie is about the dying West, so why not an aging hero?

And James Coburn, the wonderful James Coburn. I cannot imagine Garrett in an other way as he plays him.

  • if i remember right cris was born in 36, dylan in 41, and coburn in 28...im a date dude good memory and a buff of movies..so this flick is from 73' you do the math i failed that in high school never reall good at it...ps, borgnine is alive i think his birth was 1917......no big deal eli wallach was born 1915,,yes still tickin

  • Has there ever been a Sam Peckinpah film festival? If so, where/when? Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid: What a great cast!! I'm looking for a 16mm print of this film.

  • did they actually kill the horse or what???

  • yea..and ate it too

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • I remember going to the theater to see this movie. It was GREAT! Oh, Dsblood, don't forget Sam Houston. God Bless all the Great Ones - JOHN WAYNE, Jack Elam, Slim Pickens and the other great actors who entertained us.

  • hahaha....(uhm) plums

  • the only problem with movies back then is that whenever they made a historic or period film, they NEVER used actors that were the age of the characters they were portraying! they always had older.

  • Peckinpah took way more liberties than that in this film...

  • Yep, you're right, Raeantx. Back then, when a MAJOR STUDIO like MGM put out a movie they HAD to use their own contracted actors! KIDS, like Leo DiCaprio and the like weren't cast in BIG BUDGET MOVIES! It was the OLD Hollywood thinking "What do KIDS know and who knows these KIDS?" See, they NEEDED well-known actors and they had 'em. On contract. It did very well at the Box Office. Having Bob Dylan do the Soundtrack didn't hurt, either. :-\

  • well, i was referring to the blatant fabrication of most of the facts/storyline to pander to the flower power generation, many of who had a pretty black/white mentality about life...notice, the entire world is corrupt and has sold out to the stablishment, but along comes youthful billy who thinks differently...and bob dylan, the least likely outlaw i can think of...this film bothered me because peckinpah's previous westerns never cast judgment on its characters as...

  • Now this is a western! God bless Sam Peckinpah

  • Take a walk across Hell on a spider-web....
