A very nice car for the price, they should have stepped up the quality on a few things mainly the interior. Unfortunately ive heard that it is being replaced by the "Cruze" which really doesnt look too hot, and they havnt released whether or not it will have an ss trim package, the quickest engine noted so far is a 1.8l turbo @140hp...if what ive read is correct im predicting the cruze to be a failure for GM
Their such nice cars and I love them, the problem is their a very young car. I'm tired of being associated as a young, 16 year old punk when I drive my car and I really think I'm going to get something different for a next car, its just a shame morons drive them and give everyone a bad name.
Interesting comments on 'how long will they make them', b/c that's one of things that prevents good aftermarket support like say an Impreza where parts are compatible for over 10 years worth of cars. The big 3 need to have a stable product if they want a stable following in this market. It seems like that's going to happen with the new turbo 2.0 though.
This car is sick. Can't wait to be another happy owner of this master piece! I've always liked the SS/SC but now that its Turboed??!! Oh damn.. Its on!!!! Can't belive they have the GMPP Exhaust on these out the gate!! I'm heading on over to see the test drive..
Yeah good point. All those are real good cars and I can't understand why they stopped production of them. I don't care too much for the bastard child -Ion Redline- but the other 2 you mentioned, mainly the SRT4 Neon, Dodge really messed up with the piece of horse crap they have out now.. Anyways, thats another story but I'm just agreeing with what you said :) Still.. I belive this new Cobalt will show some steady growth in the tuner market and its a great package for the money.
the car does have a "pressure relief valve," or (PRV) on it already, also, they did say that it isn't loud, they did say however, that it is loud enough for another driver to know that your being boosted.
The car does have a "Pressure Release Valve," or "PRV." however they did say that despite the fact it isn't very loud, it is loud enough for another driver to know that you are being boosted to some degree or another
it wouldnt, the blow off valve is a sound put out when a turbo car loses its boost, the no lift shift will hold boost through the gear change so there wont be a blow off
ya but wat about when u choose not to use no lift shift... shift like a regular car, or in traffic and let off the gas..the airs gota go somewhere,
downshifting..ur guna build up pressure, and theres no way u can use the no lift shift downshifting... in my oppinion,if u have a turbo, u gota hear it
why dont u shut the fuck up.. for your fucking information i went to every god damn website and even to the fcuking chevy dealer where they said they didnt know either..suck my balls u fucking retard.. im gettin a car soon and i wana have my info straight before i get one.. instead of going to every fucking cobalt ss video for no reason why dont u do somethign with u life.. at least i havea motive to watch the video..fuckign douchebag
Great video - thanks for getting his words. He went into great detail on the improvements, especially the FE5, which is a common RPO order lineup. GM accessory iPod, installed by the dealer at the order gives you full warranty 3/36months + extended.
I saw posted somewhere else that the large wing provides a great down force at speeds in excess of 75. With a .9g in stock suspension I could use that down force on a few turns I know about (track). Any more details?
They only produced 2,537 Cobalt SS's in 2009.
120 of those are yellow.
My car is 1 of 120.
Info provided by GM tuner source.

if u put a blow off valve on one of these cars how would it sound if u used the no lift shift feature?
