  • put a stylus pro into my rotation and I'm loving it. Thanks Nutnfancy

  • @chestertheman1 you could carry it in your pocket.

  • Got one. Love it.

  • Decided on the Preon 2 over the Streamlight Stylus Pro. I think I'm gonna pack a Preon 1 in my medkit instead of the Streamlight. Any comments?

  • I love the Stylus Pro. It's part of what my wife calls my Bat-Belt. I have a Galco "Belly Band" that I wear daily loaded w/ a Kel-Tec 3AT w/ extra mag, Kershaw Skyline knife, and my Streamlight Stylus Pro. All completely hidden from view and none are the wiser, but easy access when needed.

  • I should also add that the new version does not have the same clip. It is more of a solid piece. It also comes with a spare tailcap boot.

  • Awesome Nutn, I finally purchase the Stylus Pro. I got the Blue one and it is the newer C4 version. I wasn't too sure how it would be since I opened it at work in the light. It looked okay. Then a little while ago I tried it out in the dark. Man it is pretty bright. This is my first foray into quality lights and I couldn't be happier, and all for only $24. I can only imaging what a Quark 123² Tactical at 230 lumens will be. You suck dude. Now I am gonna go broke buying flashlights ;-)

  • Do you know if they updated this light since you did this review? I purchased a Stylus Pro online a few weeks ago and the specs said that the brightness was 48 lumens on the packaging versus the 24 lumens of the previous model. In any light (pun intended), I am ecstatic about this flashlight as well.

  • @Keegster1120 it has been updated with a c4 bulb that gives the new version 48 lumens vs 24 for the old model.the packaging will tell you the one you have.i love mine.

  • what could you reccommend as a good bush light, something thats bright but relativly cheap

  • The shorter model that takes one battery instead of two, is called the Microstream.

  • I have 3 of these and 2 of the shorter ones that take 1 battery. I absolutely love them! I am a USMC veteran, and I have one of these everywhere I might need a light.

  • I have been carrying one of these daily for well over a year (black but just switched to a blue one, its easier to see if I drop it) and it’s a great light. Everyone in my family/friends that sees it wants one. . .so I have been buying these up to give as bday/house warming gifts. I personally own 2 (for now), one for me and one for my car. =) I think have bought around 10 of these so far and in every color and they all look great!

  • I got one of these today due to nutnfancy's review. I was set on it for a while but I didn't get a chance to grab one until now. It's everything he said it would be and I already knew the ins and outs of the Stylus Pro as soon as I got it. Thanks once again for a great job!

  • Just picked one of these up from YCS. Looks like they've changed the pocket clip, now solid, no place to attach the lanyard you so wisely recommend. Other than that I'm quite pleased with the purchase. I'll just have to mod the clip to allow for that lanyard, simple enough, but I wish they'd have left it alone.

  • i have always been into shurefire lights. i have the e2d defender and the a72s combatlight. i love both of these lights, but those fenixes are so much cheaper and have much better value. i need to start trying some of those. i also love streamlights too.

  • Just got mine. love it :)

  • Found this light on Amazon along with a Sog Flash 2 together for only 60 bucks. Will be my second Flash. Amazing knives, amazing light.

  • Just ordered one of these. My $17 Coleman finally crapped out after 3 years.

  • I just put my own streamlight stylus pro through the washing machine *on accident*. and it came out working fine. Amazing light.

  • I have Fenix PD30 R2 235 lumens (better than those PD30 Q5 that at the video).

    It's awasome........a also like TK15

  • been waiting a month for a switch replacement, streamlight has realized they have problems with the switch and are only replacing the switch.

  • @wcresponder

You have posted this on like 100+ vids of this light. Give it a rest we all know already.

  • @noblinger sit down and take a few even breaths ... it hasn't been 100+ vids, geez exagerate much. and you are now the spokes person for everyone. nice to make your aquaintance.

  • @wcresponder

    Whatever you say boss.

  • I just now realised that my Stylus Pro's clip is a solid type, and not the "hollowed" out type belt clip like the one you reviewed. So no way to attach a lanyard on my stylus pro, just my data point.

    Cheers.

  • @ 21:03 ...wow Nutnfancy, Buggetnuster just did your whole 20+ minute review in 10 seconds.

  • One thing I like about this light is that it is a good combination of light quality, durability, price and length. I add length because this is a great self-defense tool as well when one knows how to use it this way. I actually wish it were a half inch to an inch longer, but it can still do the trick. I can't justify moving to the longer Stylus, so this Pro is a great choice. Great video, as usual! Thanks!

  • I just got my Stylus Pro in the mail (shiped from U.S. to Chile).

I've to say, it's a great EDC flashlight.

  • How would you compare this flashlight to the fenix ld20? Which u think is thebetter choice?

  • WOOHOOO I just got my Streamlight Stylus Pro in the mail from the Nutnfancy Impact guns giveaway, ITS AWESOME.

  • Nutnfancy, could you do just QUICK review and your thoughts on just a simple "military style" anglehead flashlight (C or D cell) They are very cheap, so affordable and could be pretty convenient at times.

  • I've been carrying one of these in my pocket every day for months now. It's really awesome and the most useful thing I have on me at any given time. I can't figure out how I got by without some form of light on me before, and now I don't want to ever go back.

  • very handy light! 2 days after i bought a stylus pro the power went out in the school and i had that light on me ( good luck figuring out your combination in the dark) , it is always and i mean ALWAYS in my pocket now. also it is very rugged i have dropped it on gravel, pavement, and tile and not a dent. You are highly appreciated nutnfancy.

  • Dude, your digressions are more helpful than most people;s reviews!! Thanks for all your work.

  • Hey Nutn, I think you should look into the Streamlight Microstream. IMO it is the perfect EDC flashlight for the money and simplicity. It uses one AAA battery and gives out a regulated 20 lumens for 1.5 hours. It is the baby brother of the stylus Pro. And only weighs one ounce. but about 2" shorter than the stylus pro.

  • Just picked one up. It has a more sturdy clip now, but that means there's no easy place to tie on a lanyard because it is a solid clip. I paid $25 for it... probably should have ordered one online for less... oh well.

  • That cloth looks like the cloth from the movie Wanted...are you an assasin of fate?

  • led lenser t7 is a light that everyone must have beets eny light

  • While at the gun show today I picked up a stylus pro on an impulse buy because it's so favorably reviewed but when I got it home and opened the package to play with it I found it won't turn on. I tried 3 different sets of batteries that I know are all good and no light. Now I can try to drive all the (long) way back to the show tomorrow and hope the vender remembers me (she didn't give me a receipt) or try to take it up with streamlight and pay shipping. I'm extremely bummed :(

  • @friskyrabbit Oh bummer! I heard of a couple of cases of this happening. If your show vendor won't make good, I believe Streamlight will, at least. Let us know. I fee certain you'll like it once you get it going, I love mine. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Hey, actually I did go back to the gun show the next day and they were SUPER cool and let me go back the vender without paying the entrance fee and the vender totally remembered me and totally swapped it out for another that does work! I do love it now! I work on copiers so it is an excellent light to carry to work for what I do. Thanks!

  • @friskyrabbit Excellent! Glad it worked out. I carry mine all the time too, just love it. -- Veri

  • streamlight pro with the AAA batteries is awesome for edc. It makes a great task light and is perfect for ultra light-weight survival/emergence kit

  • you guys hav cool names: nutn; tacticaldoodle; dogness; buggetnuster... lol

  • Notice how much of the light will be sticking out of your pocket with the stylus 2 /stylus 3

  • I've had my StylusPro for about a week now and love it. Now comes the Preon2

  • Okey, I am waiting on Stremlight stylus pro review..... been 3:00 already....! I do not care about Fenix lights, I do not like them~! hehehe.

  • the nutnfancy project, amen.

  • whats BDU stand for?

  • @no1livez4evr short for 'bedunkadunk'? :P

  • @no1livez4evr

    Battle

    Dress

    Uniform

  • Check out the SNAP-ON 2AAA LED Penlight,80 Lumens,Only $25

  • Best flashlight I have ever tried - love this new LED technology.

At first I thought 24 lumens sounded mediocre. There are other ones which can go 60, 80, 120, 180, even 220 lumens. However, 24 lumens is PLENTY for what most people would need this for.

  • Just got mine and I love it. Much lighter, more compact, and brighter than the mini mag that I carry as my EDC light.

  • It is a light that I would definatly take on duty with me and keep in a pen pocket and use it for small tasks or as a back up if you need to. As for using it as your primary duty light, it just isnt bright enough I would just use this as a secondary.

  • shine that office light to the slealin it works better with no glair

  • bought two of them after if saw the vid gave one of them to my friend as a birthday present we both have them on us all the time

  • Thanks to your review I picked up a Streamight Stylus Pro a while back, and I am happy to report I carry it with me daily. It is a great little light, and comes in handy almost as much as my pocket knife. Love the light, and would recommend to anyone.

As far as I can see there is only one downfall to it, after showing my Dad, I now have to buy one for him!!!! At $16 I am happy to do so though.

Thanks again for all the great reviews and vids!

  • After using a friend's Stylus and being amazed with it I did a lot of research and found the MARATAC AAA Flashlight for a bit more money. It uses ONE AAA battery and for the life of me I can't find anything better that is even near the size. If you look on youtube another member has a side by side size and beam comparison. I think the streamlight still holds a place and will get one for my toolbox but use the maratac on my keychain for EDC.

  • Fenix has their LD05 penlight, it's about twice the price of the Streamlight Stylus Pro, but has 100 lumens max. Also uses two AAA batteries.

  • Great review and great light - I just bought one tonight based on your new review and it's awesome! Thanks again!

  • I absolutely love my Stylus Pro that I purchased based on this review. It is so light that you don't notice it's there. It and its 1 AAA counterpart (shorter/lighter) are possibly the first lights I don't want to go anywhere without. ... And that's coming from a Fenix LD20 owner. (Love that one too)

  • I'm always looking for something to make my life easier at work and you ALWAYS have a review for the same thing that I've been looking at.

You're the best, keep putting these great reviews out!!!!

  • I bought the Stylis Pro in Nov.,08. I carry it every day, use it at work, and I've only replaced the batteries once. I would recommend this light to anyone.

  • I bought one about a month ago great light. It far brighter than much larger lights great price too.

  • i hav one for tac uses it is amasing

  • Would the stream light fit in a Shirt pocket or ?

  • This is a terrific light, I bought mine not knowing you had a review on one and I am very pleased.

  • if you pry open a energizer 9v battery you will get 6 AAAA batteries

  • all i got was a plastic box with black crap in in

  • was it energiser. because i dont know if any other brand does that

  • Wow, really?

  • This is a great light. Outstanding as a back up light on duty. Slides really nicely into the trauma plate pocket on your vest...

  • I bought one of these on the strength of your review. Its a great little light and fantastic quality. Many thanks

  • I just bought the Stylus Pro for an edc carry light and it exceeded my expectations. Very bright, very small package. If your outside on a dark night, this think will light some stuff up at 50+ yards pretty nicely.

  • Hi, I just received a new Stylus pro, the pocket clip is now a solid clip and not skeletonized as yours is so a bit hard to fit a lanyard.

  • I find the stylus pro button is difficult to click on and off by thumb. I think its due to the buttons thick rubber side walls, raised metal rim, and possibly recessed mechanism. Since Nutfancy didnt comment on this I'm thinking maybe mines faulty.

  • I meant two. oops lol

  • Great review after watching this vid I bought to one in black and on in camo. I use them both daily as an oversees operator. I have beat the daylight out of it and it just keeps going. As a matter of fact my team and I have bought most of our gear after watching your reviews. Thanks and keep up the good work

  • yeah i know, thanks for the info though, if im gonna break it, it still has warranty, so, ill be trying it., ill tell you if it works..

  • I had one of those first generation penlights, and the plastic cap is good for not shorting out a computer motherboard, if you happen to accidentally touch it while it's powered. Anything inside a computer, is easy to short out if the aluminum casing of the light accidentally touches.

  • im planning to buy a fenix tk10 led torch, it uses 6v battery, will the led blow if i use 7.2V battery? since i have a rechargable 7.2V battery

  • i still prefer my Petzl Tikka XP....

  • Correction 4

  • I love Streamlight I have 3 and have never had a problem with any of them.

  • Nice Wisconsin sweatshirt.

  • @mpwelk I love my state :)

  • Just bought a Fenix based on these reviews. Should have it in a few days and expect complete satisfaction.

    Thanks for your efforts Nutn

  • I recently bought a 3 AAA led light from Coleman's "MAX" line of flashlights, and I reccomend it to those who might want a cheaper alrternative to something like the Fenix lights. It cost me about 25 bucks at Wal*Mart. Its beam is maybe not quite as clean as the Fenix beam, but it uses Cree LEDs and claims 115 lumens and 6 hours illumination. It isn't regulated, though, so expect some variation in intensity.

I would have made a vid, but I don't have a camera, so thanks for the ad space, Nutn!

  • Dear nutnfancy, could I give you some constructive criticism. It seems you spend a lot of time with other objects in your reviews other then the object you are reviewing. Which makes for a video that is probably twice as long as it needs to be. I watch your videos and I like that they are about things I enjoy I just think you could get us the same information in ten minutes rather then twenty. Keep up with the reviews.

  • I have to disagree. For specifications you can always read the manual or watch the official site page or go to candlepowerforums or other official sources, as he recommends. That would be fast and save your time, i do it myself when on a hurry, but TNP is about spreading the word.

Since he is talking only about related issues, i greet that. For newbies hearing those empirical wisdoms and "philosophy" helps a lot.

  • I understand what you're saying but I think that if nutnfancy did a critical review of his own videos he would see what I'm referring to.

I know what you do must take up a good amount of your time and I appreciate that and I wouldn't want you to stop. That's all you'll hear from me about that.

    Just my two cents.

  • i need a fenix

  • Just bought two of them!

    another nice review!

  • Have one, Carry it, Love it.

  • wow flashlight!

  • i have a streamlite stylus pro, you wouldn't believe how handy it is,

keep up the good work and stay safe

    SS/DOL

  • he should do a vid on gas mask

  • the black light seems to be unnecessarily long, and the tan one to wide. the pro should have a retention area for matches or something, to long for m.

  • Another great one.

Like a few others might have said, check out the Streamlight Microstream. It's a 3.5" single AAA Stylus Pro. It's my EDC light.

  • They discontinued the Fenix P3D :(

  • really !?!?!?!?!?

  • Yup I looked at the fenixonline shop and im GUESSING that since that website says its discontinued im gonna assume thats true... It might not be true but im asking if im wrong someone correct me. Since I saw on the line up that the P3D model was the light with the 2nd most bright options in the lineup. And at a VERY lowered cost than the light with the 1st brightest options.

  • this light is to flashlights what the keltec p3at is to guns awsome light i have one

  • I picked one of these up last week and made it part of my EDC.

    Keep the good stuff coming.

  • I have this light

  • I love the small stream light lights, I have a nano, and a micro stream, this one is next on my list.

  • i like inova i have a t2 3.8 watt and i fukin love it when inova first got on the scene i bought their first model and it rulz hasen't breaked yet and still is bright, also 2 cr123 last all year long with reg. usage can't ask for more.

  • army reserve?

  • I need a new light myself.

I just have a really bright Coleman that I got for $20. CR2 batteries, lasts about 2 hours.

  • yeah.. i just got a britelight torchlight ... 3 of em thinking they're the greatest flashlights.. but after watching this... i think my britelights are all crap..

  • Well, it is all about what works for you.

The Coleman tactlight works for me. It is bright, and easy to use.

I dont use it for "everyday use" it is more of a defense/offense light. I have a little LED one for general utility use.

  • Hey Nutnfancy, As a duty light I trust my EagleTac P10C2 ($56 !). It has 295 lumens on high for 1.2 hrs, and 60 lumens for 10 full hrs on low mode. It's incredibly compact, durable, and very simple to operate. I highly recommend that you, and everyone watching check it out. Thanks for the video's and stay safe!

  • clap5, where are you getting your info from.

on the fenix p2d premium running on cr123A batteries I see max 180 lumens, compared to 145 max on a nitecore using the same bateries AND it is 8 mm shorter.

I hear great things about nitecore lights though and think it's very cool technology that they're using. Most seem to prefer it to the L1D

    Anyways, great vid man.

a small simple flashlight that you will always have is very underrated. (I think)

  • I carry my original stylus everyday and I love it

  • i have one and i love it. i cary it every day in my pocket

  • great review i carry the stylus pro and have for about a year and a half and i absolutely love it.

  • I have this and the Microstream there great

  • You should try the Nitecore D10. Makes a really good EDC torch. Even has a memory setting. Pretty much everything you were refering to that you would wish to see in the fenix's. Also pretty humble on the price tag. Around $50 and even brighter, with more features and smaller then the Fenix versions.

  • you the best !

i think the fenix e01 is also very good idea

its small good output like the streamlight

    and cheap :)

  • cool thanks for the review i just picked one up love the simplicity of it and the size.

  • cool

look up nutnfancy's fan club on facebook!

  • Nice...just joined.

  • I'm buying one! I've seen you talk about these before and I was sold then! i want to streamline my EDC System to be more compact and like I said I'm going for the Streamlight Stylus pro and a LM Juice S2! Your reviews sold me on them and your ROL EDC system video made me really rethink by bulky LM Charge ALX and Streamlight Scorpion LED. Just to bulky! Great Video, 100% rating and I'm adding it to my favs!

  • I have the new Stylus in UV that I use to check drivers licenses and id cards when I stop smoeone.

Ive gotten a few tickets/arrests because of falsifiyed doccuments. :)

    I LOVE IT

  • Oh Philosophy of use, I really should watch the whole video before asking

  • What does POU stand for?

  • Dude, good review, I think you sold me on this light. In reference to your Sabre Light, you stated that it broke. I bought mine about 22 years ago and it carries a lifetime warranty that covers everything except bear attack, shark attack, and children under the age of three. Do you know if this warranty has changed? Those three year olds can be pretty scary. No response necessary. Stay safe.

  • nutnfancy if you wantsome cheap AAAA's if you don't allready cut open a quality 9 volt

  • Doing videos while deployed...I think dedication is an understatement. Great video as always. Get home safe guys.

  • nice videos man thnx

  • Dudes, y'all are awesome! You are in our prayers and stay safe.

  • sup bugget

  • I purchased a stylus pro a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! It is perfect to carry in my pocket and not feel too bulky. Excellent video as always! Keep up the Great work! Looks like Bugget is going to have a ton of work answering all of your messages.. lol. Stay safe guys!

  • Yeah I have that light and it is awesome! It is a great edc light. If its night time and i am walking across campus, i take it, lighter than a pen.

  • haha Nutnfancy even when deployed making videos lol good job!

  • Nice I own the updated versions of the fenix: LD10 and LD20. Very excellent AA lights.

  • Welcome back

  • dude dude dude ya gotta check out the new fenix TK40 4AA bats and 630 lumin!!

  • Runs on 8 x AA normally and 4 x AA on emergency.

  • nice i love how everything looks
