thanks for posting this, I've been a fan forever and should have been there. Never had a chance to see the guys although I know at one point in my younger days Ian played a local theater.
Amazing! To be honest I was hugely disappointed by Man Overboard, especially compared to Ian's previous couple albums - way too Bon Jovi! This is much more like it in my book!
@vegetasrevenge age has nothing to do with it. Shrunken Heads and Rant were extremely mature albums too, and I liked them because the songs and production were more attractive to me. If I was too young, why would I like those albums?
@vegetasrevenge Yeah, I see the production as Bon Jovi slick and the melodies the same sort of numbing arena rock at times. I hate to say it about one of Ian's albums, but that's just the way I see it I'm afraid. His voice is good on it though.
I saw Queen back them up in Edinburgh in 1973 (?) and the ticket was 80p! Went back last Saturday and they were just as I remember them!!!! Brilliant!
Thanks for sharing this - a great clip. I was there that night and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere amongst the fans in the pubs and streets around the venue , especially along the river. I thought the band were amazing but the crowd a bit docile - i was hoping for a circa 71 stage invasion for "keep a knockin" but maybe a few hernias, gammy legs and bad backs precluded such an event !! [ mine included i hasten to add ]. Thanks again.
Made my day! Man, it must have been great to see this for real but thanks soundsvilleInt for these videos. Lots of us out here thrilled to see these guys rocking again.
Ian Hunter, dont you ever die on us man, we need you in these times!

Back in 71 Pete Watts inspired me to pick up the bass guitar. Cheers Pete.

@slightlyperturbedmax I can't disagree with you more on that.
I love that album, Bon Jovi will never be that honest.
Perhaps you aren't old enough to appreciate it yet.

@slightlyperturbedmax I just don't get the Bon Jovi reference, kind of an insult.
It's good to have your opinion but you can't be serious in that kind of comparison.
Rock on!

Thanks for this. Was there on the Fri and Sat and they were awesome. Now I understand why Queen were only the warm up act back in the day.
