  • Lol is Bigwig angry with the wolf for not getting him? :L

  • how does Keehar live in winter without bugs and the with the pond frozen

  • i loved the song bright eyes in the original..........(:

  • @243annie yeah, came on tv in september 1999

  • in the movie, the rabbits looked more realistc.

  • @Bandersnatch41 Yeah, but the tv series was made to soften the blow of the movie. Kids were traumatized by that film. And the tv version character designs are more distinct and nicer overall. Just look at Blackberry and Spartina.

  • @Rhiorrha Yeah but i like the movie more because it was more realistic in general. In the movie its shows that life can be harsh but it can also be wonderful. Where as in this crap its a sunsine and rainbows. And the people who made the movie had at lest the balls to make an animated movie that would be more for adults than childern. I dont see many people doing that today.

  • make another one

  • Why does the fox sound like a wolf? :o

  • bigwig sounds like simon cowell.

  • It's the year of the rabbit!

  • Bigwig cracks the ice but a huge fox doesn't?

  • 3:02 "What wrong wid your face?" XD Go Keehar!

  • I hate how they water down - dumb down - award-winning novels to make insipid animated shows for children. Shows like this are for the parents who don't want their kids to read about or see reality (in animated form, anyway). But I guess this is what happens when we are so far removed from our food sources. Death and violence in the animal kingdom is a fact of life, a lot moreso than talking rabbits.

  • what does Kehaar say at 1:33 when he calls out? it's sounds like he's saying "allah"

  • Guys, calm down about how crappy the Watership Down Series is! It IS, after all, a KIDS show. I don't think the actual movie would have set well with a lot of young people so there would be a sort of generic spin-off to the book and movie. They were just simply too violent.

I love the series myself. There are more subplots but they get the general idea of how the story goes. And there are TONS OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Give it a chance. Kids too deserve to hear about this beautiful story

  • I don't know about the film and haven't attempted the book, sadly. But I used to watch the series when I was little, and my mum got me this YEARS ago on video. I still watch it every Christmas! Kehaar is my favourite... or maybe Dandelion. 'No need to bring the outdoors indoors!' <3

  • 'you mangy, fleabitten excuse for a preditor!' I love Bigwig!!

One thing though, sinse when do foxes growl, I always thought they made little sqeaky noises :/

  • Where did Hazels girl friend come from?!

  • I would simply KILL for this soundtrack! The composer is an absalute genious!!

  • the movie and book were so much better. I totally agree with pixiechick... also, I haven't really watched the series, but I think I heard somewhere that they CHANGED Hyzenthlay's name?!?! seriously, how stupid can you get?!?! Hyzenthlay was my most-most favorite name in the whole book. plus it's in lapin, the original rabbits' language...

  • I love Watership Down the original movie and book! But I never realized it was a series! And why is Pipkin a kid??!?!?!!?!? And why does BigWig have like a beard thingy? He's only supossed to have a patch of hair on his head! And in the original Fiver is yellowish brown! So many differences! Ahh!! But still it's ok....I guess.

  • This is really kiddy and... really, quite crap.

  • at 7:45 fiver really cute

  • Whas wrong with your face?

  • Pip isnt a kid!

  • What's wrong with your face?!

  • actually it's only the second season episode 8 and there's a second part of it that's episode 9! but thank you so much for uploading it i've got 4 volumes of it but thanks for uploading the rest! love this series so much ever since i was a little girl!

  • i like the kid version better than the movie, the series matches the book better than the movie, and blackavaar does not get killed in this

  • I just saw this episode..... Probably my favorite from the series! So warm and fuzzy. XD Two words that, having grown up with the movie, I would never have attached to Watership Down otherwise.... I just want to know this: WHY has this series not been played in the states?! :(

  • @idioticlisa I was thinking the same thing. People here miss out on alot it seems

  • aaaah dis z mii fav 1 i love it

used 2 watch it aaaaall tha tym wen i was yunger !!!xxxxxx♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • Whats wrong with your face? AHAAHAHHAHA XD

  • I just remember that I didn't know the movie before the series; I loved them all!^^ In the meanwhile I also watched the movie on youtube and still love the series XD Pipkin is such cute!

  • ITS THE SHITTY KIDS VERSION D:<

  • @TheDarkLatias950

What did you expect? There is no 1970's Watership Down cartoon series. O.o

  • Well...

I Just With Watership Down Had This ANIMATION, But Still Had Everything The Same (Blood/Gore/Same Looking Rabits/Ect)

    But, IDK XD

  • @TheDarkLatias950 This version was made especially for young children, I watched it when I was younger because the movie (although I still liked it) scared me. It was approved by Richard Adams

  • this is why i bought a bunny :)

  • Eh I liked watership down better than this version.

  • Hmm,Winter on watership down isn't as dark as Watership down.

  • Why is it always Bigwig who gets in trouble?? D:

  • hawkbit is so negative! :)

  • Goddamnit rabbits don't walk like that. They aren't dogs. :/

  • wow they show in the beginning on the map that there is cowslip's warren but it doesn't show any of that part

  • whats the song at the beginning called?

  • bright eyes, it is by art garfunkal

  • bright eyes

originally by art garfunkel but thats a cover by stephen gately (rip)

  • at 3:36 was that noise a fox or a wolf? because the foxes make wolf noises in this version...

  • wolf

  • whats wrong with your face XD

  • This is a bastardisation of the film and the film is a bastardisation of the book.

  • Not the bunny with the mane!

  • fuck i miss this:(

i can't find it with dutch voices:(

  • don't swear

  • Give me the movie of Watership Down any day. Kehaar was a classic in that movie.

  • I cant tell who the f*ck is who and what the heck a mouse is doing in this. I agree with gothicbunni, Fiver in the movie was waaaaaaaaaayyy cooler

  • don't swear

  • My apologizes. Of course I won't in the future :P

  • thanks

  • Wow, what a bastardisation of the film, sorry but it's true.

  • I prefere Fiver in the movie...

He's a lot more twitchy and panicy XD

  • And bigwig looks like a homo.

  • They gave him a mono-brow aswell ):

  • I <3 the sound Kehar makes when he crashes into the tree xD

  • It's keyhaul

  • I only knew this exited cuz my granddad got me three of the vids ^_^

  • Did you know that Watership Down is a real hill in North Hampshire?

I can't decide on my favourite character in this series it's either: Pipkin, Fiver, Bigwig, Keehar or Hannah. I also think that Halkbit and Blackavar are very cool too.

  • YUP! i did XD

  • @powergirl07 Yup. Mr. Adams named Watership Down after a hill that was close to his-boyhood?-home.

  • @powergirl07 My favourite charater was Silver and Strawberry but it doesn't have them in this stupid version! >.<

My second faourites were Blackberry and Dandilion! Then Holly...

  • I had no idea that there was a series to Watership Down. Where've I been??

I think it's cute but I don't like the different animation artists... the movie artists were much more realistic.

  • The movie came out in 1979 I believe. This is 20 years later. Besides, made-for-TV animation is always not up to Movie standard.

  • ha ha im the opposite i knew there was the watership down TV series but i had no idea there was a movie and a book before the series. so when i looked up watership down expecting the TV series and got the movie insted i was stoked! :D and yah old animation rocks!!

  • Cant compare with the movie -

  • People who don't appreciate the series have not seen remotely half of it. This is such a charming cartoon; I definitely enjoyed every last bit!

  • You know, I completely agree. Trying to bridge a comparison between the book, movie, and cartoon adaptation just isn't being realistic. As far as a cartoon series adaptation, I thought it was brilliant.

  • Bigwig I think is cool,Hannah the mouse voiced by Jane Horrocks is cute. Nice storyline and inocent. A story of true leadership and comaradery.

  • i agree, the movie is way better.

  • Whos the mouse?

  • She is called Hannah. Hazel and his fellows met her on the way to Watership Down, in the first episode of series. Is that enough for answer? :-)

  • ' have a good Friths eve, everyone. its our last'

I guess the face in the snow is sort of like a face palm? xD

  • Why does Pipkin sound like a five year old? O___O

I liked the movie version Pipkin better. DX

  • Pipkin's sooo cute!!! Who's the girl?!!

  • When did this came on?

  • WHO DOESNT LOVE WATERSHIP DOWN but i do think its a bit scary for younger kids me and my best mate used to curl up on the sofa scared when we were about five lol thanks for posting this

  • this film is kinda scary. the last time i saw it i was about 7, home alone and i was creeping out big time.

  • in the film the bird swears, and the film is horrid for kids, errrr creepy as.

  • Season 2 you mean (first two posts failed)

Thrid Season's First Episode is "Campion Lives", (Think it might be the Warren Collapse at Redstone i think) when wondwort realises CAMPION IS a tratior.

  • Yah I like this one more then the original old movie.

I always saw this on a Belgium channel but

then it stopped. makes me really sad.

But now I see it again yah <D

  • I have to disagree there, this version may be "watered down" but i think it makes the story fluffy even when the rabbits fight if you watch on, you'll see wondwort destroyed for good by the black rabbit himself.

  • Man i rememmber reading the book around like 7 and watching the movie around 9 and um....this just killed it i mean its cute but wat happend to the story?thats wat i loved about it personally i think this kinda of hm cheapens the story

  • is this a movie or episode?

  • i think this is episode 21 or 22 i em not sure

  • you're right.

  • I don't like how they create predators. They're so stupid and silly. Foxes ain't stupid and here we have just a dog.

  • soo cool I saw the last ep whan I was 8 and then citv stoped

  • i know brings back the memories.

  • Am I the only one that thinks that this version of Watership Down is terrible? I'll take the movie's style over this anyday.

  • No, you're not. I clicked out of curiosity and I gotta say... this isn't Richard Adams' vision at all. It's not just the style, but the way they behave. It's out of character.

  • I agree as well. They should at least try to stick to the style, if they expect true watership down fans to approach this sad ezcuse for a movie.

  • Think about it though...despite the movie being rated a 'U', it was far more violent, dark and disturbing than practically any other western children's animated movie.

Therefore, this is the version that kids can watch without having nightmares involving rabbits.

  • kids aren't the only ones who had nightmares from that movie

  • i cant find epsoide 13 or 14

  • which episode number is this ive seen up to episode 14

  • which episode number is this ive seen up to episode 14

  • XD i love Keehar so much. "What's wrong with your face?!" lmao!

  • yay im looking everywhere for season 2 (all of it) can uu upload it?

  • Its nice that you uploaded this winter episode. One thing: this is not a third season, but rather the second. In the third season characters looks a bit different than here. :)

  • me too! i saw the movie on hbo, creepy, but really good! 5 stars!

  • YYYEEESSS!!! I love Watership Down! Thanks sooo much! :DDD
