All the class is doing is teaching people how to talk in a midwestern accent. Why would you want a midwestern accent?! I have one. They're so boring. People from other countries have actually said that we have "flat, accentless voices." It's been called "boring" more than once. At least Boston accents make you sound like you're from a 1930s gangster movie or something, instead of an average joe/josephine.

@tmayo11 most of the pronunciations in the boston accent actually derive from the Irish accent especially in south Boston were most Irish imigrants flocked to and where the Boston accent is at its strongest. If you listen carefully ya can hear the heavy pronunciation on the "A" in such words like "car" or "bar" and also they drop the "R" like many places in the west of Ireland.
