  • You can take the boy out of Boston, but you can't take Boston out of the boy.

  • 1:55 -- the Boston anger sets it..I love that! Example: "You fuckin' serious?" or "Read the fuckin' wouhds, thehe right thehe". (the latter example is from "The Town").

  • so gay...

  • ... now get the hella outta my house XD

  • Yea I've been in that exact room! IT'S FOR ACTORS IDIOTS!

  • What? Ohh. You mean Boston Casting? Angela Peri holds that class for actors, and i know that because I'm a jr actor trainee. It's so actors can learn an american accent to go to any auditions that are looking for american accents. So shut up dumbasses.

  • What the hell is this Bullshit, Be proud of your Boston accent, I live in southern New Hampshire and have a slight Boston accent Or at least when I travel people think i'm from that area, any ways be proud, You guys have a great sounding dialect,

  • You're a bunch of idiots... I live in Colorado now. I appreciate my accent more then evah... Be proud of who you are and where you came from. Pilgrims landed ovah theeah as far as I'm concerned we talk propah and as people moved west they stahted talkin crazy...

  • "I want you to pronounce it as you [...] like you might hear it on television",

Are you fucking kidding me? What a joke.

  • Be proud of your accent it makes you you jesus christ

  • Oh..and your dad is wicked cool. My kids are always trying to correct me the same way you are with your dad.

  • Why would you want to lose it???? It's a dying dialect. I am one of the only people left that I know that still have it. :(

  • Hey that's my uncle and cousin

  • this is bullshit.

  • Saying a word with a Boston accent is not saying it "incorrectly." And it should pretty comprehensible to the average English speaker. It's not like he's talking with a Chinese accent.

  • BILY BAYKA

  • I like the Boston accent a lot! (and I'm not from Boston) ... keep the accent! it's cool

  • accents are cool. well there is chilenean spanish accent though or the sudafrican english, those are annoying. the rest are fine

  • This teacher should be orally violated, this is the dumbest fucking thing I've evah huwd. That's right. You huwd me.

  • I think Boston accents are cool

  • Why the fuck would you want to get rid of the accent?! I adore it and want it so bad.

  • @irishdoberman Instead I sound like a stupid redneck yeehaw.

  • British ?? it comes from the irish accent

  • @TheR0Blad No, it comes from the British accent. Listen to someone with a British accent--do you hear any "R"s? It might have a little Irish in it...but it's primarily leftover from when Boston was settled by ENGLISH pilgrims.

  • I dont get it ? i love ( Bawstin ) accent, stay true to your root ! dont matter where you from northend or southie. i lived in Boston for 5 years and loved every minute of it.

    Former Southshore Rockland, Mass

  • All the class is doing is teaching people how to talk in a midwestern accent. Why would you want a midwestern accent?! I have one. They're so boring. People from other countries have actually said that we have "flat, accentless voices." It's been called "boring" more than once. At least Boston accents make you sound like you're from a 1930s gangster movie or something, instead of an average joe/josephine.

  • Why would any guy wanna get rid of their Boston accent?! I wish I can talk like that!

  • Seriously, this is such a shame. It comes from the British accent that people adore...I don't get it.

  • @tmayo11 most of the pronunciations in the boston accent actually derive from the Irish accent especially in south Boston were most Irish imigrants flocked to and where the Boston accent is at its strongest. If you listen carefully ya can hear the heavy pronunciation on the "A" in such words like "car" or "bar" and also they drop the "R" like many places in the west of Ireland.

  • @1916FENIAN I have a Boston accent myself and I am from South Boston, so I know what the deal is and I definitely see where you are coming from because I am of irish descent. The name Boston derives from Boston, Lincolnshire, England, which is actually where our non-rhotic dialect derives from, as well as our name, due to the large amounts of original British settlers. The U.S. as a whole has become a mixture of many different cultures, which has led to cultural blends such as these.

  • But its such a sexy accent :( I am heading to Boston to try and find a husband with a voice like Billy, lol

  • I love your father, and where did you get that awesome internal sky umbrella?

  • Don't lose the accent. Be proud of where you come from.
