I haven't seen all Kurosawa films, but I do think this one was the best out of all the ones I have seen. Good story, well acted and tightly filmed. Not one wasted frame.

@AQuietNight I would say next to Seven Samurai, High and Low is in my top 5 of Kurosawa and thriller movies in general. I believe there are very few films that beat Seven Samurai.

One of my favorite movies. If you love cinema you should see High and Low. Watch as many Kurosawa and Satyajit Ray movies that you can get a hold of. They were the two giants of Asian cinema.

@cornelius386 I agree..I watched a Satajit Ray film 'The Goddess'..great movie! It got me interested in his other work, which i'm sure is amazing! I can't wait to get into the 'Apu' triology!
