  • it's so beautiful how each human belongs to their own unique culture...

  • im not indian im mexican we also have tribes southern tribes,,we will be 100% real people and americans dont know about honor the only honor they know is joining the military and say they are proud to be americans still fkn blind ...

  • muito lindo, super legal, i love all kind of culture and dance

  • are we PBS skins now.........lol

  • I saw this performed by a small family of performers on a PBS special once. It was slower and done with one dancer. It's not hard to imagine them drawing down the force of nature with this dance.

  • I like dat last song from the buffalos!!!

  • i hate ppl llike u. u are so fucking retarded!!! the blue eyes stole this land and lied to my ppl and killed many. treaties, hello, are u aware that there was a language barrier?!?! imagine u going to some tribe that only spoke their language and trying to communicate. and u dumb ass what jus cuz white ppl came when natives were already here, that makes WHITE ppl owners of land that is already occupied? and who the fuck were the original owners? jeses christ? HA!

  • ugh, some ppl will find any reason to start an arugement on here, to get ppl upset. its rediculous.

pls just ignore the trolls/hateful ppl..they are just trying to get attention and start trouble..dont give in, no matter how there comments offend..they will go away if they get ignored enough.

  • What a moving way to express beliefs. After reading many comments, I am so happy our people of the Makah Nations do not allow the filming or video tapes f our dances. Ignorance

shows in comments, one of our songs was, taped with out permission, and now this person uses it on here unlawfully

  • I see you're against Genocide. Like what they did to Native America wasn't that? They killed off 95% of the population! And speaking of facts, our Natives had no choice but to sell the land or make a treaty, it was either that or starve because the Gov. had all the buffalo killed! By the way, Mt.Rushmore is on stolen land! No sale, no treaty, nothing! Fact that!

  • this is beautifull in all aspects

  • What a beautiful dance, seeing another cultures dances and listening to their languages is a cool thing. I love this thing and I'm not NA, I'm Dutch, but I like to think I have the heart of one.

    God Bless

  • on da buffalo dance i can c my da'ha! he is da 1 on da right

  • Haha!

Peace to my NA brothers and sisters.

  • The dances are ceremonies just like the Jewish ceremonies.

  • idiot the jews are infrahumans

  • If you read your bible carefully, you'll find out that everything started over here in the Americas. Asians came from us the Native Americans they are our cousins.

  • first of all we r not cuzins 2 da dam jews nor da asians! us hopis r only related 2 da zunis, ohakay owingeh / tewa! not 2 any jews or asians

  • An ur related to us Kewameh..haha..Kewa Pueblo ( Formaly known as- Santo Domingo Pueblo..haha)..Keresan pple.!..haha..man u got sum thumbs down on that comment..but true dat we not even related to asians or jews..haha..lmfao.

  • Lmfao..asians dint come fron native americans..haha..well not from us Pueblo people..maybe othe native..but shure as hell not from us Pueblo..

  • There's a lot of racist comments going on here. Native Americans, a proud people that had their land stolen. Leave them the fuck alone.

  • a agree completely!!!!!!!!!

  • there is social dances which we share such as here, and religious which is kept only at home and no where else. each family has their styles as well as styles from each tribe. my group was formed from family. these are all my family. the there is a good story which conected us with the hopi dancers in the past. Small World. If you would like to know more about us contact me. thanks for looking

  • hello to all! it was really great to see this video clip! to be honest! this is my group the Nawetsa Dance Group from Zuni Pueblo New Mexico, and Stanfford L. (dont know how to spell his last name haha) from the Hopi trib (I think from second mesa. this is all part of the Native American Heritage Festival at clark county library. this footage is from several years ago. after reading many of the comments. i'll just say this. "were all human". yes there is alchol abuse, and its all over the world

  • Hey, do you know the email of any groups that dance in las vegas? I'm planning an event at UNLV and am trying to contact them

  • hi my names chris eaakie from zuni pueblo. we usually preform at teh clark county museum festivel in april but not this year. if you would like more info try calling the pueblo of Zuni in new mexico and ask for the Nawetsa Dance group. or talk to suzanne scott at the clark county library on flamingo road and she can proble give you more info. look foward to hearing from you.

  • who are the performers?

  • the only reason why native american drink a lot is because they can handle alcohol in there system and its like water for most but not all native america drinks just those few who gives other bad names and other race can't alcohol... there human anatomy cant handle as much alcohol as native american can. Scientific fact

  • Sorry, but i prefer to see a real nativ dance in the Mother nature not in Vegas!

  • SOMEONE TALK TO ME

    comment me back cI

  • cette chanson met en honneur l' aigle et le bison : les animaux les plus représentatifs de la libertée et très importants pour les Natives American. J ' adore aussi les tenues. Boujour a tous du centre de la France.

  • i do not know about pueblos but hopis do drink that is for sure but never drink during a dance or ceremonies but yes they do drink

  • I am from new zealand home of the maori warriors, a proud race who stand up for their rights and beliefs, I see the american and canadian indians as great warriors but the white people of your country are not spiritual and therefore of a lower awareness for the planet and nature all around them, I am coming over there in Oct 2008 visit some of you as I really don't want to visit the concrete jungles thre is no spirit there.

  • Actually I'm a white (my ancestry is Dutch) and I don't see any race lower than others, those that see things that way are just plain ignorant and inconsiderate. However I do understand your anger towards my race. We hurt the tribes in the past and when I read about what my race did I feel ashamed to be a white. I focus on religion more than race and even then I respect others! We need to focus on each other build each other up not bring up the past. Learn from it but don't revive the pain.

  • I also don't like the cities either, it's too noisy and too fast. It'd be nice to visit for a day but I'd prefer the mountains of Colorado any old day of the week

  • great video

  • Natives love to drink?!WTF I suppose White ppl don't?? C'mon!! If you want to talk about stereotypes I can say that the IRish, The Germans, Russians, etc are all a bunch of Drunks as well. Enough of these stereotypes!!!!

  • hermoso!, saludos desde sudamérica - Colombia - Bacatá

  • yenno , youu juss gotta look past awl these haterz n juss shake em off . it juss showz that they're insecure n awl that , n they're tryna take it out on our race . lyke I'm cree . n watchin this vid itz SO different from here uhp n canada n awl that . but n culture n wut not , we ain't awl different . we still got the same haterz thinkin we're awl drunkz n shyt . but As I say . while white ppl gotta get tanz n shyt . I stay brown thruu the winter ! =) cheya ! so youu juss needa shake em off !

  • I agree!

  • It is a disgrace when you can't come on the native blog and listen to people talking bad about natives. I'm native and I want to feel good about my race without being hurt at the same time. Not all natives love to drink. Stop with the sterotype. since when does every other race don't drink and not be lazy? Why is it always my people.Stop the hate.

  • I am not saying anything against the peublo culture as a whole. If I did I am sorry. Its just that some "traditional" zuni friends informed me that these dances were made up. thats it! Navajo (Nabaju) does not mean "borrower", the name comes from the tewa word meaning "large fields" because thats where we originated from- around Jemez, Santa Ana pueblo area. LASTLY, EVERY NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE SUFFERS FROM ALCOHOL ABUSE AND SO INTERFERE WITH CEREMONIES, NOT JUST THE NAVAJOS.

  • Yeah, something a navajo would say.. But anyway, AHEM!!! I like this video!

  • Exactly!

  • so i guess that means u dont have ne type of alcohol realated problems ne ur culture..????no one is better then the other..every culture suffers from that problem...neways ..dont want to get into it wit ne one..lol..dineh foe life..lol

  • Dont want to get into it with anyone huh? Yeah alright, well there was no need for the whole "foe life" remark but okay, whatever makes you feel high and mighty. I guess thats the problem with 'your' culture.

  • Another thing is that peublo social dances are made up, I realize this because every group of dancers have their own different sets of songs. There is no uniformity throughtout the tribe.

  • Pueblo. Not peublo. And duh! How many pueblos are there in NM alone? 19! Each one does something different because WE ARE different. In the same tribe, yeah, we have different styles. It doesnt have to be uniform--different families have their own style of presentation. What's so wrong with that? Um...nothing!

  • Okay, i guess you are educated in spanish spelling. peublo or pueblo, whocares? another thing, i am not talking about the other 19"pueblos", i am talking about dances "within" a tribe. On your comment it says "different families have its own representations" = made-up. i rest my case.

  • And pray tell, seantsosie, what is your "case"?

Have you taken it upon yourself to redefine for us the nature of a culture and its nuances?

    Why the condescension?

Have the Pueblos as a "tribe" offended your dance aesthetics so much as to cause you to scrutinize it and formulate grossly uninformed machinations suited to your understanding?

Please, as a fellow Navajo, answer me in as civil a manner as you can.

  • nothing is ever made up..yeah every dance has their own sets of songs.. Just too bad that upon attending a yebichee ceremony the navajo police went into the place where the men were singing and taking out intoxicated men.. What respect they have for someone geting healed.. Also some of the dancers intoxicated.. atleast we refrain from this for our ceremonies.. Navajo means borrowers as I was told from a navajo elder.. So now they change it to dine'.. lost ????...

  • "at least we refrain from this for our ceremonies..." Pueblos drink as well during ceremonies, they act just as crazy! Seen them and partied with them during sacred ceremonies and at the there pueblo....PLEASE...!!!! And u know it to!

  • There's a difference between social dances and sacred dances. This is a social dance for the Zuni, it's something we want to share. How can you tell if our dances are sacred vs. social? See the girls in the back, thats how. Our sacred dances don't have women included, it's something only for men. Women have their part too, but it's very different.

  • Pueblos "dance" for peace, Dineh "pray" for peace.....We all have different ways of expressing prayer.....YOU SHOULD BE PROUD TO BE DINEH!!!!!!!!! if our ancestors didn't know what they were doing or praying to....how did we survive the long walk and become the largest tribe in North America....

  • top comment to navajo1994's posting

  • these look like eagle dancers from zuni, just by looking at their pitnikas

  • This is a great video

  • Man thats powerful you dont see that here in Canada would be nice though!!!!!! good vid

  • Im paiute

  • this is so cool now i wish i was hopi insted of dine'h..

  • that so sad of u to say there...just cuzz they put there dances on here, that dont mean dat we have no culture...we chose to keep ours scared...

  • So do hopi people we choose to keep some of our dances sacred and they are very sacred... this is just one of many social dances that we have to express our culture as hopi people.

  • great video
