I think you did a great job and your set- up is very unique especially for someone who is right handed. Do you ever set up a high hat on your left so that you can play more intricate open closed patterns, or do you just stick to your two high hat set up?

Oh... and regarding the kit set up - he is a normal right hand player with a right handed kit set up but has simply moved the hat over to the right to assist the tom playing - rythyms like that are better played open handed.
