She opposed racial cleansing and resigned from the eugenics magazine over that issue. She spoke out against Hitler and Mussolini right from their start. Hitler burned her books. She was opposed to abortion and forced sterilization. She worked for the improvement of the whole human race and thought such improvement could only come from within.

She's my biggest hero.
My ancestors were lowest on the food chain at turn-of-the-century New York. They were the Irish Catholics. They were ignorant.
She was willing to help, instead of judge. She made birth control information available to everybody, despite being in jail as often as she was out!
I despise Socialism, but birth control and education liberated us all!
