  • I used to watch this music video on the Windows 95 install CD. It was under "fun stuff". What happened to the bonuses with install disk like this??? Now you just get the spyware and viruses included in the latest of winblows...

  • @tenchidbz word.

  • Sorry... could not listen... too damn many ads nowadays. You have to wait 30 seconds between almost every song it seems. And the assholes are jacking up the volume, of course. I don't know who's doing it... I just got the same 30-sec ad no matter what I clicked on (and then cancelled). So, I guess it's maybe some sort of agreement between posters & YouTube? Whomever...

    Just so you posters know:

I WON'T LISTEN TO ANY POST THAT HAS MORE THAN A 10-SECOND AD!

If my clicks are stats, they're wrong!

  • @elJuedoViejoPG Ad block plus for chrome. L2: Internet

  • Is it just me or does that haircut make Rivers Cuomo look like David Tennant?

  • this song is top 50 of all time

  • Windows 95 100 Mhz Processor 4GB RAM, 4GB hard-disk.

    those were the days

  • @judebrad who the fuck had 4gb of ram on win 95? I dont think win 95 could even handle it, not to mention it wouldnt fit on the mother board. If you had enough ram to handle the entire hard drive, why would you have a hard drive? No i had 16mb of memory that i upgraded to 32 mb on my old ass ibm . And a 2gb hd that i upgraded to 10gb hd. I thought what am i gonna do with all this space? lol i got games twice that size now. Hell i just got 3 gb of ram now not even four and it runs circles. lol

  • I found this song on win95cd aswell as goodtime.avi, I watched those 2 videos hundreds of times

  • editing fail 3:09. still love it

  • Windows 95? Damn!, I was born in that year...

  • @xlejo696 Yep, '94 was the year we got our first computer and it had this video installed in the windows. Now your lucky to have a 5 second video installed with a new computer. The 90's were a good era for music, and I'm glad to have lived them, and relieve them through youtube.

  • @Halo2100 @Halo2100 Wonderful years... So do I, im glad to live at least five years of that century. All the things we lived there wont happen again, we live in a different world, and I miss the old one! Thank u for your answer, I liked it!...

  • @xlejo696 No problem with having fond memories of the past, but remember that good times also lie in the future. It's up to us to make them good. ;)

Don't live in the past too much, create something new!

  • FOR WINDOWS 95!!!

  • ROCK BAND UNPLUGGED!

  • My mom actually likes this video not the song just the video

  • This song is 2 years older than me.

  • @azkemper cool story.

  • That guy in the leather jacket kinda looks like a younger version of the coach from The Waterboy...

  • @thatissomeBS Not one for classic television it seems. Go to IMDB and look up "Henry Winkler"

  • @JRPomazon Sorry for the confusion. I keep forgetting that sarcasm doesn't translate well in print. I guess my jokes just have a tendency to jump the shark very quickly...

  • This video clip is so awesome. It can not be measured.

  • 3:13 asian guy going crazy hahahahah

    i love this video

  • @BadMeansGood thats Mr. Miyagi

  • @BadMeansGood Pat Morita, the actual "Arnold".

  • That chef guy in the apron kinda reminds me of the penguin off of Batman.

  • this makes me want some soup.

  • Minor error at 3:09. Otherwise brilliant video.

  • The first time I saw this video, I was five years old and it had come with the CD for Windows '95. Anyone else remember that?

  • @Naserrot I think that was actually the Sweater Song, but I could be wrong. The mid 90s were a bit hazy for me.

  • @druidking9884 It was definitely Buddy Holly. I looked it up afterwards, and apparently that CD actually played a big part in this song and video's popularity, including their MTV Music Video Award for it. Haha.

  • Want to get a pitcher to balk? Start singing this LOUDLY when you're on second base :)

  • will meth make me steal from my own family?

  • How do i know if i'm the 10,000,000th viewer?

  • Thumps up if the first time you heard this song was when you bought windows 95

  • @Ghost0official LOL Windows 95? i was about to turn 2 y.o. in that year xD

  • @Ghost0official I was born in 94 :(

  • @Ghost0official hhahahaha... you are so right...

  • @Ghost0official HAAHA!!! ME TOO!!!!

  • If you look real close at 3:18 you can see Charlene Tilton, who played Lucy Ewing on 'Dallas', Tilton was in the 'Happy Days' episode "They Don't Shoot Fonzies, Do They?, were the clip was taken from.

  • Where's my fuckin DeLorean

  • How did they edit this so well? and in 94 as well!

  • @WuTangBoneThugs '94 wasn';t exactly that long ago haha! We had the internet back then as well, would you believe it!?

  • The 50s the way it SHOULD have been!

we really do need a Time Machine, at least for the sake of the rock.

  • @MsPandaRosa no the 50s had great music

  • @MsPandaRosa

True, but I do love a good crossover!

  • Rock Band.

  • Classic! I was 19ish when this 1st played, but feels like l... ummm spaced out FOR REAL & have no clue how I intended too finish now..............

  • The gut singing looks like Jim Carrey

  • why is there a guy laying on the floor at 3:10 like he is dead?

  • @brandon6pk In that particular episode of Happy Days there was a dance off. That guy is just exhausted from all the dancing. I can assure you he's not dead.

  • @brandon6pk He's high after doing a couple lines of speed...

  • 2:17 awwww

  • 2:51 most epic part of the song...

  • FUCK OFF VEVO

  • i love it!

  • press 8 repeatedly

  • one of the best videos ever made!!

  • optimistic song came just after grunge movement

  • Windows 95

  • This makes the fifties look so happy, as all nostalgic things do. Maybe they were happy, at least for middle class white folks. Good song, not necessarily a realistic representation.

  • @WMsquared yea, maybe for white middle class folks, but now no one is happy

  • my teacher played this in class c:

  • WTF! when i heard this on rockband i didnt expect this!!! xD

  • @SuperWayne123456789 im assuming your talking about how gay and stupid they look. Weezer presents themselves as a bunch of dorks, which they might actually be in real life. but i think its kinda an act thing that they do.

  • just think all they need to do to be like this is to tune there guitars down to d and stop trying to be all rolemodel like

  • Ha! I used to hate when we'd watch a show and all of a sudden we'd get "To Be Continued..."

  • yay i have the top comment :D

  • im guessing that they used Happy Days because its supposed to be set in the '50s which is the time period of Buddy Holly. Just a guess

  • @bigpnisitus genius

  • Here is some info for everyone who wants to know.:

The video portrayed Weezer performing at the original Arnold's Drive-In diner from the popular '70s television show Happy Days. The video combined contemporary footage of the band with clips from the show.

The Microsoft Windows 95 release included a number of "Fun Stuff" items on the CD, including Buddy Holly, resulting in a sudden skyrocket in the popularity of the video and song that won Weezer a place in MTV Music Video Awards history.[8]

  • VEVO me tienen los huevos llenos

  • YES! Been trying to find out what this song is for months! :D

  • this song was in memmory of buddy holly

  • ONE OF THE BEST MUSIC VIDEOS EVER AND ONE OF THE LAST GOOD ONES

  • A video from the 90s integrated into a show from the 70s that was set in the 50s?

  • @DeeDubb1983 INCEPTION

  • @DeeDubb1983 Yes- why does that seem so weird? When it came out in the 1990s it wasn't "in the 1990s" it was just a video set in the show Happy Days. Not confusing.

  • @nwuguy23 I didn't say it was weird. It's interesting in hindsight that from present day back is like a 20 year gap from now to when the video was made to when the show was on to when the show depicts.

  • @DeeDubb1983 Interesting observation. So an accumulation of 60 years altogether, and the '50s still look cooler than the present! What are we to take from this?

  • Perfect when i was 13, still perfect now.

  • @Iambecspooner hell yeah

  • Why do they have to dress up like Mr. Rodgers?

  • @Chrisgodoflard they were socs. There were greasers, socs, and freaks. Greasers were pretty much the Fanz from Happy Days and the socs were the preps. Freaks were everyone who didn't fit into those categories.

  • 260 though the fish tasted like crap.

  • takes me back when i was 5 and used to watch this love weezer

  • Everyone knows Feb. 14th is Weezer day, not that other thing I keep hearing about...happy 20th :)

  • Happy 20 years of greatness, Weezer!!!

  • eyyyy

  • Haha pause at 3:10 and look at the band.

  • Missing the glasses.

  • Windows 95 and Weezer. The 90s were a great time.

  • Buddy holly: " hope your bus freezes up " johnny cash friend: " hope your dam airplane crashes " my home room in 9th grade was buddys home room. That's cool.

  • Brian Bell looks like George Harrison here

  • its pathetic that you type in buddy holly and this is the first thing that comes up.... dont get me wrong weezer is a good band but really?

  • @thajuggalo15 Maybe its because weezer is much more recent than Buddy Holly? I mean really, for someone these day to know who buddy holly is by taking a music appreciation class, searching to know about rock history, or accidentally stumble across his music on youtube.

  • foda!!

  • I can't believe Rivers Cuomo killed Kurt Cobain
