“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” -Acts 16:31. Jesus Christ the Son of God died for our sins and rose again so that all who believe on Jesus will have eternal life in Heaven.
This makes the fifties look so happy, as all nostalgic things do. Maybe they were happy, at least for middle class white folks. Good song, not necessarily a realistic representation.
@WMsquared theyre not trying to represent to fifties in a realistic way at best theyre trying to show a funny contrast with reality but basically the song has similar tones and chord structure as the sixties so they just wanted to do a nice video that fits the song and actually paints the fifties in a weird way they sure aint trying to be realistic
@SuperWayne123456789 im assuming your talking about how gay and stupid they look. Weezer presents themselves as a bunch of dorks, which they might actually be in real life. but i think its kinda an act thing that they do.
Hey guys and girls. I'm a poet from Chicago. I have started a YouTube Channel to help get my work out there. Please take 5 minutes out of your day to check my stuff out. Like. Subscribe. Tweet. I update on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Here is some info for everyone who wants to know.:
The video portrayed Weezer performing at the original Arnold's Drive-In diner from the popular '70s television show Happy Days. The video combined contemporary footage of the band with clips from the show.
The Microsoft Windows 95 release included a number of "Fun Stuff" items on the CD, including Buddy Holly, resulting in a sudden skyrocket in the popularity of the video and song that won Weezer a place in MTV Music Video Awards history.[8]
@DeeDubb1983 Yes- why does that seem so weird? When it came out in the 1990s it wasn't "in the 1990s" it was just a video set in the show Happy Days. Not confusing.
@nwuguy23 I didn't say it was weird. It's interesting in hindsight that from present day back is like a 20 year gap from now to when the video was made to when the show was on to when the show depicts.
@DeeDubb1983 Interesting observation. So an accumulation of 60 years altogether, and the '50s still look cooler than the present! What are we to take from this?
@Chrisgodoflard they were socs. There were greasers, socs, and freaks. Greasers were pretty much the Fanz from Happy Days and the socs were the preps. Freaks were everyone who didn't fit into those categories.
Buddy holly: " hope your bus freezes up " johnny cash friend: " hope your dam airplane crashes " my home room in 9th grade was buddys home room. That's cool.
@thajuggalo15 Maybe its because weezer is much more recent than Buddy Holly? I mean really, for someone these day to know who buddy holly is by taking a music appreciation class, searching to know about rock history, or accidentally stumble across his music on youtube.
@mateocos1 What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on Youtube is now dumber for having read it. I award you no respect, and may God have mercy on your soul.
