This is particularly reinforced as men get older if women find them unattractive, even if it's only for a short period of time for whatever reason, because they fear being labeled as potential rapists.
Some, yes. But sometimes the arm is just too long. Means: It is quite impossible to lay your hand on her shoulder without bow you arm very weird.
I have that "problem" with my girlfriend. I can stand close to her and put my arm around her, but my arm is just too long that my hand can touch her shoulder.
Or I can put my hand on her shoulder. But then I have to stand 5 inches away from her.
