Im looking into selling old pokemon cards on ebay. Why do I always get like 6 dollars on the shipping calculator? Cant I just get a postcard and mail it to the person directly? The calculator makes it seem like its gonna cost money just to ship a single card. I want to make sure that if I choose free shipping I can just put the card in a postcard and send it out. Thanks.

if you sell on ebay, the money is credited to your paypal account? see, i have trouble verifying my paypal with my bank account (i dont get how to do it cause its a savings but it asks for a routing number which i have no idea what it is). so, can you transfer the funds from the paypal account to another bank account or would i be limited to using the money on paypal transactions?

When I list a movie and pay the listing fee of say 25 cents, is that a one time charge no matter if it doesn't sell and I relist it or do I get hit with that fee more than once? For Christ sake thy wanna take 30% and charge you to list? What am I in the business of? Making Ebay rich? Please answer my serious question here if you would. Thaanks!

We have been a mail order dealer for over thirty years. I am mostly a seller and we want to be in good standing with the Post Office and Customs.
What do you do when customers asking merchandise to ship as gifts? We have been told that this is SMUGGLING and could cause the buyer and or seller to be fined or serve time for doing this.

@DonReedProductions Smuggling is not just a problem on eBay. There are people altering customs forms through many selling formats. And changing shipping information as a gift when you are a regular International seller can get both the buyer and the seller shut down for a long time along with a heavy fine. (Smuggling) Cheating on paying taxes is a very big deal.

Aggh you should avoid that. eBay has VERY strict terms of use...and consequences for breaking such rules.
You can't negotiate sales ANYWHERE but eBay. Every bit of the sale has to be done on the site, for security reasons :/

@jogocown We don't do this but some sellers and buyers pretend to be new even when they are not so that they can make mistakes and not suffer so bad. Seasoned sellers have ways of pulling up data on people to see how many different user names they have used and their selling or buying records. I am always cautious when a buyer leaves others lots of bad comments or maybe they have a dozen user names or accounts.
