@kdreamland Don't take AVGN seriously,it's a comedy satire.

Castlevania 64 was a good game,it had flaws to be sure but they did not ruin the over-all gameplay.

Anyway AVGN only points out the bad and focus' on them,eg the Nitro/Mandragora bit,anyone playing the game wouldn't have that problem since it is a basic game mechanic,AVGN just didn't know how to do it.

the camera on this game was garbage and some of the gameplay mechanics just werent right but all in all this game was one of the most horrifying, challenging and rewarding games ive ever played. this soundtrack is THE best ive heard in any game ever. the story was great as well. ill never forget level 5! honestly, THIS game absolutely deserves an HD remake because the new castlevania isnt even castlevania. Ahhh, memories. I borrowed this from a friend back in the day and i was engrossed by it. I lived it, and every waking minute of my life was spent playing it until i beat it. fue el primer intento para un castlevania en 3d...al menos para mi no cabe duda que ha sido el mas acertado, si...si...es cierto ahora tenemos obras en 3d como LOI, COD, LOS, pero aun asi este juego y su version deluxe ( XD ) Legacy of Darkness han conseguido llenarme con un feeling que ninguno de los otros (excepto el nuevo para PS3 pues aun no lo juego y tampoco se si lo hare) lo han conseguido, es que realmente me hacian sentir dentro de un castillo maldito en medio del bosque dl silencio =)

A remake of this would be so cool as this game did have some flaws with its camera and controls. I play this game every 6 months. I can't get enough of this and Zelda Oot 64.

n my opinion, this is the greatest video game ever made and this intro really is epic to me now. I've been playing it ever since it first came out which was back when I was 6. Here I am almost 18 and to me it is one of the greatest classics out there. Makes me want to pull out my copy and start playing it again. I've beaten it probably over 2 dozen times, maybe more, and now I can beat it within a 2-hour period. At 0:55, when the game's title comes up with that music, that's beautiful.

I love this game. It has flaws, and I'm certain there are things in it that, while not flaws, could have been done better, but none of them are any effort to work around or overlook, and do not come close to spoiling a game that is for me one of those in which everything -- the music, the visuals and the setting -- comes together to form an atmosphere that is wonderful...that has that beauty and evokes that thrill. If it were remade tastefully, it, freed from limited hardware, would be awesome!
