I totally support you all the way. To become an accomplished violinist like Miri Ben Ari, you not only have to work long hard hours, but you have to sacrifice your life and devote it wholly to violin. Ever since she was a kid she's been practicing for hours, and when she came to America, she came with no money, family, and didn't know the language. All she had was her violin and her dream, and she worked hard for it. No one has the right to belittle her accomplishments.

To be fair, the classical professional violinists couldn't play what she plays. So it goes both ways. 2 very different styles. She is amazing and her talent is on a level that few can touch. She lasted FIVE hours on Apollo according to her. It's hard as hell to last five minutes on there.

i beg to differ. with classical training at a conservatory, i violinist could learn to do what she does quite quickly. what she does isn't difficult to learn or do. its very repetitive stuff and not great difficulty involved.

I TOTALLY disagree with you. This highly skilled woman works works LONG and HARD on her pieces. You cannot just pick up and play the pieces she plays. If you believe you can, I would love to see you do so.
