  • She was doing the moonwalk at 3:04. LMAO!

  • Hello new york

  • Xoxo

  • i love her, her weaves were always on point!!

  • I love the way her voice is so winey voice in the chorus!

  • These classical artists should have their own page

instead of being with lady gaga in the background

    so not right...

  • Whats up with internet commercials?

  • o i love me some Angela Winbush she use to work it!!! i have been looking for a mix of this song id heard some years ago deep bass line so fierce by Dj Kieran at a club in Atlanta Ga anyone has it please post all will remember house music... don' t let no body tell i don' t need ya Angela work!!!!

  • industry folk hated on ms. winbush for soooooooooo...llllllllllloooooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggggg....but thats how hatas operate...low...she has way too much class and sophistication of a soul sistah to be offended by nothings...........she took this song and owned it...can't nobody do it like hood but angela!...keeping it real.....LOVE her and her MUSIC..and Talents:) #1 FAN hatas exit

  • Miss Janet been sampling some dance moves anyone else notice?

  • @mexicanhoney1forrest no! they used the same choreographer, Paula abdul, and not to mention this came out 1987, and control came out 1986.

  • @mexicanhoney1forrest

No, actually the dance routines in Janet's Video "Nasty" and this Video was both choreographed by Paula Abdul. So, no Janet did not sample any dance moves.

  • Singer,writer,producer,composer....Quadruple Threat...That's a BAD GIRL Right There...And no artist today can hold a Candle to anything as such....Maybe...Maybe Alicia Keys....and I say that because I've seen her perform live.

  • I see Paula Abdel in the video dancing with the 2 other chicks, plus Angela.

  • I love this song and video, but this came out right around the time that Salt-n-Pepa's "Push it" exploded, so when this video would come on, I would change the channel. But I love me some Angela, especially when she would hit those high notes.

  • Wow, she's really pretty(just admiring....that's all).

  • Jackson style <3

  • This was not a flop, probably not one of her better known hits, but def not a flop. It got a lot of airplay here in Alabama .. I remember it ...Actually I was like in 4th and 5th grade and remember it quite well.....

  • This is one of Angela's biggest hits, and one of the biggest R&B hits from 1987...what are you folks talking about?

  • @marcusrob02 You are thinking of the song this tune ripped off... "Kiss" by Prince, LOL! I know Angela Winbush, but I don't know this. Actually it does sound a bit familiar. If it was played back then it is now totally forgotten..by everyone, it seems. I love Angela WInbush. But this is probaly why she is not more famous. RIpping off Prince, plagarizing her own music (Smile/Angel)..I love her, though.

  • @thoomolong Oh my Goodness, lol you must be young, Ignorance Sublime,! They didn't ''Rip Songs'' back then, this is what your talentless generation does. Angela is an amazing writer/composer. This was a normal sound in songs of the 80's! Also, Angela was big sweetie, the Artists don't stay big forever, she had he day, and Dam she had a good ride.

  • @cammicty No one copied someone else's song before this "talentless" generation? Come on, there were plenty of cases of plagiarism in music industry the 80s and before.

  • @thoomolong Again, Real Artists with Talent always created their own music. However, there were many Artists like Prince who worked with Angela, amongst other Artists Angela worked with. One song she did with Ron Isley had his flavor in the tune. If you are talking about groups like Thompson Twins, yes I will say there were some aTalentless groups, but even they weren't on the level of today!

  • @thoomolong LOL This is a drum machine you hear in Winbush's music which was a popular instrument to give R&B artists a more pop sound in the 80s after 70s Soul faded.

  • Never heard this before. Angela has a unique soulful sound.

  • I love this jam stop hateing!!!

  • Haha... this does sound like a Prince tune but Angie looks hot in the vid and obviously Paula Abdul did the choreography because it is her dancing in the video. She is a huge dance talent and a star in her onright.

  • this is still jammin'

  • this shyt kinna hot tho, lol... love ang... ghead, mami, get ya prince on... =)

  • what in the hell is this...lol

  • She must've drank that Prince kool-aid......burped and this came out. Definately not her best.

  • Damn, why everybody wanna cross-over to pop for anyway? That why r&b dead now!!! grrrrrr

    This weak mess!

  • This was a flop, and rightly so. They were trying to make a crossover hit for her, and they failed. This video does not showcase Angela's vocals in the best ability, and her voice is too luscious for the "pop singer" box they tried to put her in. Great dancing because of Paula Abdul's work, but horrible wig.

  • @JumpStreet1983 ... the song was a #4 R&B hit...of all the solo singles she released, it was the 3rd highest ranking behind Angel and It's The Real Thing. Now, the song to me certainly doesn't do her justice, and it was um... very weak...but it was not a flop. I actually liked C'est Toi muuuuch better and it barely made the top 50. I don't mind pop, but this song was not the one...lol

  • @daretosayit By flop, I meant that Angela won't be remembered for this one! LOL. It probably got to the 3rd-highest ranking for her because of the Prince fans that it resonated with. It certainly couldn't have been her own fan base, because this song is a HOT ASS MESS! The "New Jack Swing" sound in the late 80's and early 90's worked for only so many. This song probably would have been a smash for Janet, Pebbles, Rebbie Jackson, Paula or Sybil.

  • @JumpStreet1983 ...LOL, I was trying to be nice by not calling it a H.A.M. - but you took the words out of my thoughts..haha. When the song came out, I was always waiting for that Prince "Owww" to pop up at some point. Since she wrote for Janet and Paula was in this video, she could have easily handed this off. But then again, when she switched labels while a duo with Rene, she wanted to reach a wider audience - and this song did - reached right on to the Prince audience...lol. Love Angie though

  • ? Was she trying to cross over with this? Sounds like a fail to me..

  • RON DID NOT HAVE TO DIVORCE HER

  • love it don't think i've seen this one heard it !

  • She is toooooo cute ..... I definitely didnt get bored looking at her ....

  • love love love this song and video, and LOVE HER......

  • Is she copying Prince's falsetto?

  • You can tell Paula had something to do with the dancing!

  • This music video is choreographed by Paula Abdul

  • yep that's paula

  • is that Paula Abdul dancing next to her?

  • I think so.

  • yes it is.
