  • Seeing these amazing clips makes me wonder why the DVD releases didn't include the sponsor elements. Does any one know why? The Beverly hillbillies and The Lucy Show are a joy to watch. Even seasons 2 and 3 of ANDY GRIFFITH include as a specal feature the cast commercials. Thank you so much for posting. Does anyone know when and why cast commercials vanished? They were part of my childhood. I'd LOVE to see Bewitched WITH sponsor spots.

  • @RQVOutdoorMoovies The reason the DVD releases didn't include the sponsor elements is probably due to the fact that they didn't want to give the companies (most of which like Quaker are still in existence today) the free advertising. Another possibility is this material is no longer in ABC's archives and was not available to those compiling the DVDs.

  • @jldraw Thank you, that's probably it.

  • I cannot believe that she would ever let her husband tell her what to do. If he had told me no witchcraft i would have changed him into a frog on the highway at rush hour.

  • i want some pancakes now!!

  • OMG--Look at AUNT JEMIMAH--this is a the ORIGINAL rare "racist" looking jemimah lol

  • First time I've ever seen the Quisp/Quake feud commercial with Elizabeth Montgomery! A rare gem among classic "Bewitched" commercials...

  • Now you know why there were so many "breakfast scenes" at the start of various episodes...like Chevrolet, keep Quaker Oats happy by subtly plugging their cereals and pancake mix. {Larry WOULD "borrow" another advertiser's slogan because he doesn't have one original idea in his head except figuring out how to make more money! ;)}. The animation in the third spot was created by Jay Ward (his most successful campaign after 'Cap'n Crunch'), with Daws Butler and Bill Conrad as "Quisp" and "Quake".

  • these are great

  • At 0:17, Larry Tate (David White) says "Aunt Jemima syrup tastes good, like a syrup should."

A direct ripoff of "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should"!

  • Taking from the 1955 Winston spot, noting the new drip-proof bottle:

Aunt Jemima tastes good like a syrup should

Aunt Jemima tastes good like a syrup should

Aunt Jemima gives you real flavor

    Full, rich syrup flavor

    Aunt Jemima's easy-pouring too,

The bottle lets the flavor through

Aunt Jemima tastes good like a syrup should!

  • Hahaha!! You're right!! That didn't even occur to me!!!
