In my opinion i think the Tau was based of Asians..Not to be racist or anything just think about it the music the name "Tau" Sounds Asian and the technology. Again not being racist or trying to offend other races.

i'm pissed that supposedly the arrogant and bitchy BR's won over Kronus but since this game doesn't have a Canonical ending I can say that the Tau won the system the only thing missing from this ending is mentioning the Gue'Vesa in their army after they beat IG in this system like they did in Dark Crusade I wish they did that....

That's a better ending than the ending for tau on Dark Crusade. The whole "Sterilize Human Conspiracy" put a bad taste in my mouth. I want the Tau to remain a goody good army. It makes them seem more victorious and triumphant than any other army (especially if they beat the space marines and chaos space marines) and that is just plain satisfying.

On the flip side if I find a chaos army that wins decide to spare lives and make peace then another bad taste enters the confines of my mouth

the Tau used to be the good guys, but the origonal people who made warhammer decided that there shouldn't be any good guys.

So the Tau give people two choices: join their nation or die. And if people can't immediately obey the GREATER GOOD, then they are killed.

it's good in a way, but also pretty vicious. there aren't really any good guys in warhammer xD although the tau are the closest.

I love it too. It just gets too much at times. I like my evil, evil like the denizens of the warp. Honestly, where else will you find a story with DEMONS in a SCI-FI with all sorts of pseudo-science resolving around them-brilliant! All hail the dark gods! except of course Slaanesh the pansy god

But... I like my good guys, that are supposed to be SM good... not as part of some inquisitional monolithic zealotry that arrogantly believes it owns the universe

No. Humans are the greatest specie and Imperium is the only thing that stops Chaos from swallowing the universe and I don't see a reason why some people think that "tau" are the good guys.

soulstorm is better than dow2. soulstorm has incredible depth and the races are pretty much evenly balanced in the hands of skilled players. I just wish more people understood how good it was. dow 2... is a different type of game.... -___- I WANT A REMAKE OF THE ORIGINAL DOW SERIES AS WELL =(

which one is better kauyon or mont'ka? i prefer kauyon for the knarloc hp boost but which one is better?

IMO, it would be Kauyon

IMO both work just as well, depending on the situation. I use Mont'ka when I'm in "Attack mode" and Kauyon when I'm in "Defense mode"

Both have strengths and weaknesses, hence a Tau player has to THINK, unlike those other petty races. For the Greater Good!

I played the beta for DoW 2 recently, and unfortunately it SUCKS ASS!!!!!!!!!

I hoped it would be much better, there is no base building, the squads are tiny ( like 3 people per squad and you cant get more of them until they die) you can only get 1 upgrade per squad and when you try to defeat an enemy even with a full squad cap the you are torn apart by the turrets that everyone gets at the start to defend their bases. BAD MISTAKE RELIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
