As I understand it: originally there were two versions, "Mermaids" and "Pirates" for two different ads, both composed by H. Scott Salinas and Francois-Paul Aiche. It was indeed originally composed for the Clorox commercials, though its "full version" is now available on a children's charity album.

It's a great song. You do understand that "classical music" refers to music of a specific form and style composed within a specific historical period, not just anything with violins in it?

I know, right? These two particular pieces (and in this case, the both of them combined) are obviously hot commodities... I want them, others want them. "Pirates" or "Mermaids" or whatever this piece is called is stunningly beautiful and I wish I could find it somewhere!! The Pirates one was my favorite =) but it has a more orchestral sound, and as a violin player, I'm very fond of that.
