  • so easy to learn from this video love it thank u so much !

  • @bonnieetom You are welcome.

  • I have made this blanket but would like to put a nice wide border around it. What would you suggest I do for that? I am a very new crocheter. Love your tutorials.

  • @luckygirl2u I suggest that you use the actual pattern of the blanket as your edging around the whole thing. When you get to the corners, you will need to work several stitches in the same stitch so your corners lay flat. You will evenly work the pattern along the side. It may be challenging since you are working in the side of the stitches.

  • hi Teresa,, thank you so much for all instructions. You make it so easy. I have one question. what do you mean by "multiple of 10's"

  • @sistacie This means that it will take 10 chains or 10 stitches to make each segment of the pattern.

  • well im a begginer, and i would kinda want her to go slower (if possible) i know shes explaining its hard for me to do these thngs thanks

  • @TheParisfreaks I suggest that you practice the basic crochet stitches first, before trying this technique.

  • @TheParisfreaks One thing I learned that helps me is to pause and rewind. It makes it easier to follow along. Especially when we have to more than one stich at a time.

  • Your instructions are so easy to follow. When I finish the afghan I am working on, I think I'd like to try this stich for another one. Thanks so much.

  • thank you teresa

  • @lovingGodiserve You are welcome. :)

  • Teresa, i i want to do blanket , how much do i chain,,, wound 250 right number ?

  • @lovingGodiserve 250 would be a good starting point.

  • Turn.1st row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Ch 2. [(Yoh and draw up a loop. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook - CL made. Ch 2] twice in next ch-3 sp. [Miss next dc. 1 dc in each of next 5 dc. Ch 2. (CL. Ch 2) twice in next ch-3 sp] 10 times. Miss next dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 1 dc in top of turning ch 3. Turn. Where is says "Ch 2] twice in next ch-3 sp" I am confused on what I need to do next.

  • Teresa, I am doing a baby blanket. Here is part of the pattern

    Body of Blanket: Ch 135.

Foundation row: (WS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc). 1 dc in each of next 2 ch. Ch 3. Miss next 4 ch. (1 dc in each of next 7 ch. Ch 3. Miss next 4 ch) 10 times. 1 dc in each of next 4 ch.

  • Teresa, I think i am a ditz could you tell me how many chains i have to have to complete a baby blanket 36 x 36

  • @xenadome A baby blanket will be anywhere from 1250150 chains.

  • Thank you Teresa. I pulled it out, started over with +7, and now I'm happy. Everything turned out right. It's going to make a beautiful baby afghan. Thank you again. You're terrific.

  • Teresa, I'm crocheting a baby afghan with this pattern along with you. I used a multiple of 10 for a 35x42 size blanket. But, I ended up with a cluster on the end of row 1 instead of 5 dc. What went wrong with mine?

  • There is always a +plus amount that has to be estimated for the beginning stitches. Those are the extra chains done just one time. For this pattern stitch I figured the +plus amount to be 7, posted on my crochet blog. It is common to have errors with the multiple. Each person has a way that they like to do their stitches so stitch placement and interpretation play a big role. The extra 7 chains should give you what you are missing.

  • i like the little box in the corner with pattern suggestions. cool!

  • hi Teresa.. thanks for posting this pattern..am gonna try this one. One question... when you say multiple is 10... how come you have chained 37. If I need to make a bigger size I would like to know how many chains do I start off with?

  • I did not include the +plus amount of the multiple. With the beginning chain 3 counting as the step up to make the stitches, there is going to be an odd amount of stitches. I feel like I confuse people more by including the multiple.

  • oh.. oki.. thanks :)

  • wooot your videos always inspire me to create something new . love it thanks
