Creepy staging...Salzburg festival often has very weird stagings...Zauberflote 2006 with Diana Damrau comes to mind...
And I don't like Kirschlager's voice at all. Way too strained. The two solists have way too different voice to make a good duet.

Wow! What a stellar and inventive staging of this old chestnut! Don't get me wrong, I love the song and this is a great interpretation of it... wish I'd been there to see the whole production though! This is a gorgeous approach to the opera.
