  • As foolish as this is (and it is), there are people in this world who judge YOU based on where you attended college, where you work, your pedigree, et.c This video is a small sample of what we do to each other and a greater problem at hand. Judge people for what's in their hearts and character, not superficial things.

  • THIS IS AT CAU NOT SPELMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ... ok what?? can someone explain this to me. i know i'm incredibly late. i apologize

  • disclaimer: This is a scene form the never aired "Sad moments in Black history"...

    SMH

  • GURL............AND THEN MY BABY DADDY GO TO CLARK HE GO BE FAMOUS........... Ignorant moment

  • i went @ Morehouse n the early 90s. Back then, someone had t shirts which read: My girl goes 2 clark, my wife goes 2 spellman, and my whore goes 2 Morris Brown. There was conflict over that. I never really got into that. What these kids are going to find out is there is a real world out there. And they better b preparing themselves for it instead of waisting time on this foolishness.

  • Wow! I did not know this was even an issue.I did not complete my degree at an HBUC school ,so i did know about this. However,I am a member of a historically black sorority

This is really childish.Who cares which school a man went to.If he is a good man that is all that matters.

  • This is foolish beyond reason. Why does this sound like college waiting to exhale. i am proud graduate of hampton university I cannot believe HBCU are wasting valuable tutition on this bullshit forum.

  • This is ridiculous...foolish is the man who chooses a woman based on her actions and not on who she is

  • Will this conversation ever end? This is absolutely ridiculous. It hurts me to see this is still a necessary conversation, because I love my HBCUs, especially the 5 in the AUC. If we take real pride in our schools and stop worrying about what people say about us, then we will do just fine. And MsHollywood, don't be reluctant about what ignorant people might say or think about your choice of colleges. No matter what college you attend, someone will have some stereotype to throw in your face.

  • WOW!! This is the first time I've ever seen either one of these videos but I digress...I applied to Spelman and I am currently awaiting a response (I'm a high school senior) and I chose to go to Spelman because their science department has some REALLY great programs and what not but just reading all of the comments just makes me wonder if I will be victimized if I am accepted and go there...Will I be considered a snob? or a bitch because of the school I attend?? Really?! That's crazy!!

  • it depends who u choose to associate with my girl & my cousin goes to spelman its a good college, hang around positive ppl because its also a party school on occasions

  • Don't worry about what other think of you; as long as you know who you are it should not matter. As far as the sterotyping there will always be that from a few small minded people; find those who look beyond where you go to school at or where you came from and you'll be fine. Also remember, the majority of us that attended/attend HBCU's are minorities and at the end of the day we need to stick together...and beyond that we are people first. Hope this display won't ruin your view of the school

  • I was more mature than this in Jr High. The pretentiousness is silly.

  • Clearly you are unfamiliar with the dynamics of written English, since when does "freshmans" take the place of "freshmen" when referring to two or more people. Dont ever in life try to play me if you cant even form sentences. I won't even addle the brains of otherwise quite sensible people. Come correct homie!

  • Your commenting as if Morehouse only fosters men...No, you may leave as a man but the person involved in this debate was obviously a boy using the Morehouse label to speak on a topic that is unfamiliar to him, as is the person that posted this!(TITLE gives it away).Freshmans do not understand the dynamics of the AUC, b/c they havent been there long enough to relate, sophmores as well. Become a man with an education from Morehouse and not a boy obsessed with the idea of Morehouse Man!

  • gr8eight u have to realize that only morehouse guys care about that title thats the type of thing she is talkin about morehouse man this and man of morehouse that so wat!! some of the guys that attend morehouse are arrogant idiots...all they do is hide behind the school's name when they need to be finding themselves and the person they wanna be not who there school programs them to be...if ur a man u should act like 1 as Clark Atlanta University woman i completely agree that she is right

  • Lol Not all Morehouse men are the same the grades soeak no dummiews get into Morehouse!! CAU Spellman Morehouse Morris Brown all need to stop comparing and just do yall and repp for HBCU and people of color everyhwere HBCU's can neva have discussions without laughter, comments and chaos gotta lov HBCUs lol

  • hey that was my girl nakisha west who spoke for us clark women!

  • Now I'm an African-American female graduating from a predominantly white school and seeing stuff like this just makes me happier that I went to a school with some diversity. My cousin is a male who graduated from Clark Alanta and I never believed him when he said women were being disrespected down there. Chick and girl are not names you would call your mother so don't use them to address any other woman.

  • if u said predominately white then its not diverse...

    right?

  • Let me first start off by sayin THANK YOU too my beautiful Clark Sister.. Second, I would like to address the comment left by gr8eight. If you'd would have seen the question that your "man of morehouse" had asked..you'd understand the reason behind the way my sister was speaking and reacting. So before you disrespect my sister..please come correct. Because that man of morehouse disrespected the women of Clark and the women of Spelman.

  • I'm not sorry for this statement, however as a "MOREHOUSE MAN" I have taken offense to this displaced, generalized statement that was suppose to be for "MEN OF MOREHOUSE" - meaning currently enrolled students of Morehouse College. In short, this chick needs to sit down and think before she speaks, as well as go to sleep - plus a coke and smile.
