This cover is incredible until 3:03 because the screaming just doesn't fit or even make any sense. That's the problem with these Punk Goes... albums: the covers are often amazing but there will be this one obnoxious thing that ruins the song. For example there's a great cover of "Under the Bridge" on one album that's ruined by an unexpected, and unwanted, rap portion. Another problem is that some songs are actually mellowed down like "Power of Love". Why slow a pop song when converting to punk?

I like Emery. And I like (some) screamo. HOWEVER, this isn't a good combination of the two. The breakdown isn't very good at all, and the screaming vocals are pretty horrendous.

ohhh, I know what happened, this band, who I assume is mainly a punk/metal band had to endure singing an 80s song and restrain themselves compared to their regular songtype, so after 3 minutes of it, they just go nuts and let loose.

For those of you who don't know Emery and complain about the ending, there's one thing you should know. Emery is a post-hardcore band. They feature heavier segments in their songs, that' their style. It wouldn't be much of a cover if they didn't put their own touch to it. I love how they make the song their own at the end. It's their interpretation. Even if you don't like the ending, I recommend checking out the rest of their stuff. They're very diverse and you just might like them. =]

Fractions, As Your Voice Fades, Walls, & By All Accounts are all in my top 10 favorite songs

Punk is a trend that has evolved in to many different trends the most popular, as I recall, was DIY punks or something like that. Likewise Emos are a new trend.

Sorry, it's been awhile since I've read on sociology and stuff. But it's all essentially trends that appeals to different decades of teens. I myself fluctuate between Emo and Punk. I prefer punk because I don't like the emotional disposition of most emos. I find it annoying sometimes. But I can appreciate an emo hottie once in awhile.
