EPIC! everything about this cartoon was EPIC! The music, the stories, the dialogue, the funky wah-wah guitar scratching as background sound. I would LOVE to get the music on CD. VERY dramatic. I love this cartoon!
I sooo remember watching this with my dad when I was a little girl!!! I have very few memories of me and my dad actually doing something together but this is one of the best! Thanks for uploading them!!!
Fun nostalgia here. This is how I first got aquainted with the Tarzan story, and this version of the Tarzan yell stuck in my mind for years as THE yell before I started hearing the more tradtional one more prevalently. Even those who hate it would gladly run after it after watching the Miles O'Keefe-with-Bo Derek-as-Jane version.
This is the only Tarzan show ever made based entirely on the books, except for the movie where Tarzan goes to the Central American jungle. It even has all the animal names. And Tarzan is always finding lost cities of African white people.
In ERB book ( a must read) he makes a distiction between Tarzan's family...and gorillas..he was not raised by gorillas...they were chimps...great cartoon though!!!
When the novels came out Burroughs was highly criticized for such thins as elephants caring about their dead, apes having such social structures (they were considered vicious by the majority). What I allways hated is when small pythons or boas were portrayed as poisonous or extremely dangerous, or piranahs in africa, or man eating plants or.....well you get the idea. It is Fantasy, but fantasy that inspired real study, so thats good.
I'm not replying directly to scatters email, because I don't want to be antagonistic and bicker. His point is well taken. I like to be accurate about such things as well. Buuuuut, these dont show tigers in africa. Tarzan is where i first learned that fact, and was inspired to learn more about animals. Jane Goodall says she was inspired by Tarzan too. Back in those days we didnt have those channels, nor was there as much knowledge of animal behavior
Lions stroll into the brush once in a while. I'm dwnlding these for my kids, to pass on what I grew up on, Fond memories we can share. I'm thankful for hexseeker putting this out here. My God thers so much total utter crap on youtube to attack. why this? something portraying virtue and honor.
you wanna talk retarded how bout spongebob, in todays society the list is endless. This show does instil a love for animals, and good morality, til my kids are ready for animal planet and so on. What did you watch as a kid?
I watched discovery, history, animal planet and espn. The thing with this is that kids, I did when I saw it, believe that tigers live in Africa and that Lions live in tropical jungles, that is why it is bad.
You're the 'effin man, Hex. Ah, back when Saturday mornings used to MEAN something; no hideous marathons of Spongbob, Rugrats, or Kenan and Kel. Stuff like THIS was the real deal.
Hello tonepin. Yes, finally I solved the problem. Tomorrow I will upload Tarzan and graveyard of elephants and other episodes will come in following week. I am so glad that you enjoyed. I will be arround so drop a few lines. Regards
Sounds perfect, as I will download your next episode before I make my first DVD with 28 or 29 episodes. I want to be able to watch this on a TV thru a divx player,so I can rewatch some of these episodes again in comfort-looks like I can do that soon!
I think you only have about 8 more episodes to upload, so not long until you will be completely finished. Hopefully some of your ole fans will find your page and tune in gain too. THANKS HEX!
And it looks like you managed to salvage your old PC afterall, since this was one of those prized 1st season episodes on there. You made my day once again. So will this be it for awhile or will you be uploading any more anytime soon? I enjoyed this along with your whole collection.
I loved it

I like how the monkey was cleverly put in so that tarzan could narrate without it being quiet so strange

@Dav1dZMan I talk to myself all the time. I would love to have a monkey. Not to talk to, but to play poker with.
