I thought it was a awsome movie. Yea our wrestling heroes are getting older from the 1980's. So this should hit them at home. I also remember playing a Wrestling game on nintento. I always like playing the blonde tan guy. So this brought back some memories. I'm glad Mickey Rourke is back. I was wondering what happen to him. He's the man!

fabulous movie. Can't get some of the scenes out my head. Not just about wrestling but about being down and out. We've all been there at 1 time or another
this was a great movie, but which wrestler was he supposed to be ? Hulk Hogan's match gainst the Iron Sheik in 1984 seems to serve has a reference for the movie, but in real life Hogan has money and despite no longer as famous as he was in the 80's he is still famous
What's nice is actual pro wrestlers star in it such as Ernest "The Cat" Miller as The Ayatollah while others appear as themselves and real life smalltime independant companies like Ring of Honor, Combat Zone Wrestling and wXw, run by Hall of Famer Afa of the Wild Samoans also appear a lot.
Me personally, as a massive lifelong fan of pro wrestling, I was looking forward to this movie for at least a year and wrestling fans and even pro wrestlers themselves love it (other than WWE chairman Vince McMahon cause it breaks kayfabe and reveals secrets like blading and pre-determined finishes) but I hope the subject material and title doesn't put non-wrestling fans off from seeing it because it truly is a masterpiece in film making and acting.

Wrestling isnt good. But this movie isnt really about wrestling at all. its about the character, that every one can relate to

Wrong. Maybe for you beer guzzling hicks who expected to see another 'Ready to Rumble' or 'Rocky III' it's not good.
The theatre I went to last night was oversold so some people watched the movie standing in the isles. It got a standing ovation at the end.
