I never knew the guys were from Newcastle! I'm living there now so that news got me all excited. I thought they were from Leeds or something because of Sarah's Yorkshire accent! One of the best bands ever and nobody really knew of them :( Gutting!
Funny how certain things look dated about this -- like the much missed Routemaster buses -- that you could jump on and off (demonstrated at the start of the video!) and not be imprisoned in in stationary traffic, like the new buses/mobile prisons!
Big Golf Sale signs people hold up in Oxford street -- they're gone now (I think).
And old British Rail ticket machines in Liverpool Street station and the old BR signage. Also gone! Otherwise it could have been filmed yesterday...
I love Dubstar. I remember listening to all their songs back in the 90's, and buying the single no more talk which I played to death at full volume!! Saw them at Glastonbury in 97. it was brilliant! One of my friends filmed the whole thing, but somebody stole the camera! I'd love to see that footage again, but I guess it's long gone. Bloody thieves!
I just checked Wikipedia and I discovered that this song didn't chart because it was a Chart ineligible EP. I know if you release a single that runs too long, you can be disqualified from the UK singles chart. It's a shame because I think this might be my favorite Dubstar track!
I love this video and the track is fantastic! Such a brilliant band and one of the defining groups from the 90s. Sarah voice is gorgeous and great to see some of their videos on here!!!
Bollocks to 'underrated Britpop band' - Dubstar were just plain wonderful. Your remarks are well-meaning, I'm sure (and I'm eternally grateful to you for posting this gem), but Steve, Chris and Sarah didn't need the truly dull bandwagon that was 'Britpop' to 'big up' their talents. Such quality rang out like perfectly tuned church bells on the best/worst day of your life. In short, I was rather fond of them.
This is such an underrated album too. Dubstar are a prime example of Great British music with real spirit and integrity. They wrote songs about real life.
Kudos to Superpopelectro for putting this up here!
Honestly, I could do without the adlibs from the random street people... but otherwise it's brilliant!

yea underrated is right. They have such a unique sound. I love their music. On an older album, they took elevator music and put a beat on it :)

Dubstar were a fantastic band, but Sarah's still making great music with Client, who are similarly fantastic!

Great song, brilliant lyrics, music is so well produced and layered. Dubstar were original and so under-rated. Shame they are no more.
